A list of puns related to "Simultaneous Communication"
A person complained about people hitting on them but not once tried to end the conversation or even express disinterest. They wrote a whole essay on reddit complaining about this. When someone said they should say something they replied with.
"Oh first I need to build up the confidence to do that"
Wait, so you made it all the way to your late 20's and don't have the confidence to tell someone no thank you?
At first I sympathized with them being harassed then they said they continued the conversation and gave the person their phone number. Stop complaining. You're a weak weak human being. Your parents have failed you.
Edit 1: the person I am referring to in this post wanted privacy in a public park. Actively engaged with another person because they thought it was safe talking to a man with a baby strapped to his chest. Engaged with the man's baby. Gave the man their number and then blocked him, with the intention of blocking him in the first place, and then complained about it. There were so many steps that could have been taken to say no and they took none of these steps.
This post specifically refers to that person. Why give someone your actual number?
Edit 2: Women are sharing their stories and it breaks my heart that they had to go through that. I just wish you all the best and I'm sorry you had to go through that. You are all strong women who are still strutting today and for that I applaud you.
This post wasn't referencing regular encounter that was non-threatening. The person did say this was the 3rd time being hit on in a public park but keeps going. That I don't understand.
People say talk about everything openly. But that seems directly contradictory to pick your battles. Can someone please explain how to practice both simultaneously, or if thereβs a line- where to draw it/how to balance both?
I haven't seen this pop up in search threads, I needed to know if hearing/listening to two sources of auditory information creates stress in other people with ADHD?
There have been times when two or more people would talk to me at the same time, and I've had to command my brain to slow down processing what they said, addressing the simultaneity and calmly answer them one by one.
Another instance happened this morning related to work, while talking to customer service on the phone, my parents would nag me during my talks on package shipping, I felt so much stress building up in me that I wanted to throw my phone against the wall out of frustration. (The stressful feeling inside made me want to cry out of frustration instead of what I'd thought to be rage)
I've been diagnosed ADHD, but I wanted to know if this is an isolated psychological issue or if any other people here have experienced it.
Hi there,
I have two scripts running simultaneously, each having a function that will cause some keyboard/mouse actions. I am trying to find a way for the two scripts to communicate with each other so that if they both happen to be in a keyboard/mouse action at the same time there is no issue, essentially a queue for when one is complete the other can execute its keyboard/mouse action.
I have tried making a variable for each script that would that store whether it is in an active state of keyboard/mouse actions and having each script check the other but was receiving an attribute error (I don't believe this was a legit solution anyway).
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Happened this morning. Even though I made a complete and full stop at a 4 way stop, I get pulled over by a police vehicle, lights flashing, the works. I turn my dash cam around to face me and whomever goes in front of the driver side window.
I roll it down and ask "what seems to be the problem officer?" Officer looks at me the way one would look at a sticky piece of gum stuck to the bottom of one's shoe. "You didn't make a complete stop." he says. I adjust one of my hearing aids (lost part of my hearing due to being a touring session musician previously) and before I could speak, he firmly orders "Sir, take off your earphones when I'm talking to you!"
I take both hearing aids off and look at him. I can read lips a little but we're both masked so I can't understand what he's saying. I communicate in sign language simultaneously while speaking verbally "I'm deaf and I didn't understand what you just said. Can you communicate to me in ASL (American Sign Language) please. He points at my hearing aids that look like Apple Air Pods, motioning me to put them on. I respond "Yes officer, without those I can only communicate in ASL. Please instruct me in ASL and I will be compliant in every possible way".
He looks at the dashcam that's neatly pointed squarely at us and mumbles "For fuck's sake". He then motions for me to to go, giving me 2 thumbs up. Needless to say, I rolled up the window and drove away as fast as legally allowed.
Couldn't wipe the smile off my face all day, Lol.
Addendum: Whoa! 13K likes in a span of less than 2.5 hours. Thanks all! Don't worry, I'll update with a YouTube link as soon as I and a more gadget savvy nephew extract the footage. I will not be driving the car to preserve the video and to not risk getting it recorded over.
Cheers!
I've got an issue I can't seem to figure out.
I'm using i2c to communicate between my split halves, and both halves have OLED screens.
When I disable the screens, the keyboard works perfectly. When I enable it, the screens don't work and the slave side isn't responsive.
The docs say:
> Warning: This OLED driver currently uses the new i2c_master driver from Split Common code. If your split keyboard uses I2C to communicate between sides, this driver could cause an address conflict (serial is fine). Please contact your keyboard vendor and ask them to migrate to the latest Split Common code to fix this. In addition, the display timeout system to reduce OLED burn-in also uses Split Common to detect keypresses, so you will need to implement custom timeout logic for non-Split Common keyboards.
Doesn't that warning contradict itself? It says it uses the latest i2c_master which causes an issue, but also say to migrate to the latest i2c_master?
Does anyone know of a solution?
So, long story short, i want to communicate to 5x VL6180x distance sensors simultaneously and i already wrote a small program to change all of their addresses at the start, so i could talk to each one of them, but can i talk to all of them at once? I have tried freeRTOS, bus it's incredibly unreliable for me.
The problem of talking to them individually, is speed, i need them to be fast, but now it's incredibly slow (~200ms after reading all of them and ~10-40ms while reading only one of them)
I have written a simulator in C++. The simulator will grab images and send to a trained neural network. The neural network will be written in python and will give me an output which I then need to send back to the simulator in C++. I know that in C you can use pipes to communicate between programs but I am not sure if it will work with C++. In particular, I am really not sure how you can even smooth communication between two programs written in entirely different languages.
Furthermore, in the long run, I am looking to deploy my C++ code on an embedded application. How can I then take advantage of neural networks which are only written in python?
My son wants to play with his friend, cross-platform PC and Xbox One. They can't find each other online simultaneously, how do we get the two systems to communicate and play together?
Is it as simple as adding each other as friends on their friendslist, and playing? Or does the Xbox One Roblox account need to somehow be "linked" to a PC Roblox account, and then it'll work? etc.
I tried the Discord link, but it's dead.
Thanks so much!!
**EDIT** Supposedly there's a way to link your PC roblox account with your XBox One Roblox account, but I can't find that feature:

This week at Bungie, we take a look at every grain in the abilities sandbox.
Hello, and welcome to another sandbox-focused TWAB. If youβre new around these parts, you may be asking, βWhatβs a sandbox?β β well, itβs complicated. It's split between the weapons you use, the armor you equip, the perks and mods that you hunt for, and the enemies you face. Let's be real; the Destiny 2 sandbox is broad. Last week, we focused on the weapons sandbox and what changes are planned for December 7. This week, weβre taking a pass on the abilities your Guardian possesses. Think Supers, Melee's, Grenades, Class abilities. I highly recommend you grab a glass of water and maybe even a snack, because we've got a pretty lengthy update for you to read.
Before we dive into the details, itβs customary to have a TWAB intro discussing whatβs going on in the realm of Bungie and Destiny. Letβs keep this short and sweet, shall we?
Alright, Sandbox time. Letβs get to it.
There are buffs, there are nerfs, there are tuning levers that weβve recently unlocked with back-end changes, there are clear separations between PvE and PvP... and more.
There is a lot going on here, so donβt feel bad if you scratch your head wondering how these upcoming changes will feel. If you find anything a bit confusing, please sound off with questions! Weβll clarify as we can on our forums and social spaces. With all that preamble out of the way, I'll finally shut up and pass the mic over to the team.
##New Legends Will Rise
Hey all, Kevin Yanes here to give you a quick intro before I hand off to fellow designers Eric Smith and Mike Humbolt. A few TWABs ago I gave a brief roadmap leading towards our 30th Anniversary, The Witch Queen, and beyond. A new roadmap u
... keep reading on reddit β‘I want to share a story that is a 100% real. For me at least. Iβm RN at the local hospital which has two separate buildings. I finished my shift at 10 at night and this particular building was closing (Itβs not the main building), the lights went out but not completely cause at the third floor was the kidney dialysis unit. I was waiting for my coworker from the third floor in the car with another coworker. I was at the main level. The glass door and windows were behind me and I could see them clearly from my mirror. There were little offices divided with thin drywall and between the two sections of them was the door. All of the wall at that level had big glass windows from top to bottom. All of a sudden, I saw legs running, just legs, a lot of legs. Wearing scrubs and running through space separators behind the glass doors. Oc course I turned around and then got out of the car. I was still watching them running. They didnβt have a body. I was shocked. I asked my friend if she sees it and she didnβt. I kept watching them running and disappearing. I felt like my head was going to explode. There was no way I was that crazy. It was real. The building I was working at was not for emergency incidents therefore there was no reason for the staff to be running so quickly (even if it was real and not my βimaginationβ) .. Ten years later, my mother got sick and was hospitalised at the main building. She died from heart attack. The nurses there were running to get to her and I remembered what I saw that nightβ¦ Iβd like to know otherβs opinion on that. I canβt tell it to anyone cause they say the same, it was my imagination, I was tired etc. But I was not tired. In fact I was lucky enough to be working at that part of the hospital where the pace was completely smooth and calm. To this day it is still real. Very real *Please excuse my poor grammar, English is not my main language.
