Online physics exam due in 2 weeks on Waves and simple harmonic motions. Open book open notes, just timed so I need someone to help me show my work during it.
I am doing Ap Physics, and we did an experiment on Hooke's Law and Simple Harmonic Motion. First experiment is the relationship between F=-kx, while second experiment was T= 2* pi * m/k^1/2 . One of the discussions asked ' Compare the spring constant value in Part A and Part B. Discuss'. The thing is i don't know how the difference of the spring constant? are we supposed to say, one was more stiffer than another?

Hey,
So, Iβm working through the Barronβs Physics Subject SAT book to review, and I come across question 20. I thought that the magnitude of displacement where the mass experiences the greatest net force would just be at the amplitude A, but that wasnβt an answer. Apparently, the answer is E. The explanation in the back confirms that it is where the mass is displaced a maximum distance(which it says is the amplitude) but it doesnβt explain how E was the answer. Whatβs going on here?
