A list of puns related to "Simon Of Cyrene"
At the welcome of King Kuhoa, the team was brought back to the capital and given expansive, comfortable rooms filled with beautiful art pieces and furniture, as well as crystal clear running water at one of the inns within the city. The settlement itself rested near the sea, and the calm, cooling sea air rushed into the city, making the tropical heat less oppressive, perhaps even quite bearable. The urbanscape was dominated by wooden homes, smiths, and vast marketplaces which sold goods that are brought from all around the plains and savannah Cyrene. Overall, the city was clean and prosperous.
The locals initially, however, are somewhat wary of the team. They never go as far as to spit or insult Manilius or his forces, but warm welcomes were few and far between. Most of the friendliness came from King Kuhoa's tribe, the Hokna.
I'm doing a HH re-read and I've just started The First Heretic again. Prior to the Burning of Monarchia, was Cyrene a hooker?
Wears scarlet red, stated to not be a believer or pious, an old woman calls her a whore, an older gent uses the 'old fashioned' term for her profession, brief mention of her 'more infatuated lovers'....did this go over my head the first time or am I seeing things that aren't there?
I mean....without wishing to get into real world things, sex workers dont suffer from lack of business in more devout societies so even in Monarchia there would likely be a market for it.
I checked the Lex but there was no mention of it so maybe I'm seeing things that aren't there.
Obviously this isnt a moral judgement thing, just curiosity

For context, Damon Prytanis is going with Cyrene and informed that she became a Perpetual after she was resurrected with Chaos sorcery. I put up the book excerpt because I want to give insight on this bit in Betrayer. And we learn that Damon Prytanis has other abilities besides being a Perpetual. He went to resurrect after being burned alive.
>βForgive me, John was always better at languages.'
>
>βWhoβs John?β
>
>βA friend. An idiot, but a friend. It doesnβt matter β heβs busy. I was sent here, for you. We have to talk.β Sheβd not spoken her homelandβs dialect in half a century, yet it was like honey on her tongue.
>
>βWeβre already talking. Tell me your name, if you please.β βI wonder, why is it that the simplest questions have the hardest answers? Most recently, Iβve been going by Damon.β He offered his hand for her to shake. Unfamiliar with the Terran custom, she simply glanced at it, then stared back into his eyes. βJust Damon.β Disapproval made it a question. βDamon Prytanis,β he said.
>
>βThat isnβt your real name.β βIt isnβt the name I was born with,β he admitted with a smile, βbut that doesnβt make it any less real, or any less mine.β
>
>βI am leaving,βshe lied. The qattari knife was starting to feel tempting. βNo youβre not. And donβt reach for that blade. Iβm not here to hurt you. Iβm here to save you.β βYou think I need saving?β
>
>βI know you need saving. Everyone does, from time to time. Do you have any idea how difficult it was for me to infiltrate the Word Bearers flagship just to have this conversation?β
>
>Infiltrate. He said infiltrate.
>
>He wasnβt on their side.
>
>βIβm not on anyoneβs side,β he said, though she hadnβt spoken a word. βI know,β he added. βI can read your mind.β She turned to run, but Damon reached for her wrist, holding it tight. βYou died and came back again,β he said to her gently.
>
>βWe have that in common. The Cabal have taken an interest in you, and for humans thatβs almost always a bad thing. But youβre like us now. The Seventeenth Legion made you into one of us. I canβt say whether they meant to. I wouldnβt even want to guess.'
>
>βOne of what? What are you talking about?β
>
>βThe undying. The Perpetuals.β Damon Prytanis didnβt smile that time β he outright grinned. βCome with me, Cyrene.β βEshramar!βshe shouted. βEshramar!β
Manilius kneels down and lets the head of his axe act a rest for his right hand. βItβs over,β he says with an exhale. βWe won; I did it,β he thinks to himself. A few Cavaliers come by to disarm Liliane, then afterwards handcuff her. βGeneral, should we go back to the Empire with this woman and the other knight in charge of the company?β Manilius looks at the soldier directly and responds, βWait until the morning. Iβd rather not put your safety at risk if I can help it, besides, you need to rest before heading back to Nicomedia.β The soldiers salute to General Quirinius and moved out, bringing Liliane with them. βFare thee well, knight,β Manilius wishes. He looks over to Anya, having noticed that she pilfered some documents from the unarmed diplomats during the ambush. The General smiled, seeing those who were unarmed were not hurt during the skirmish.
Shortly after, Manilius calls out to Kornelia, βCaptain Kornelia! I need to see you.β Kornelia rushes over at his command and salutes. βYes, General?β He closes his eyes and exhales while asking, βDid anyone fall on your side of the ambush, or not?β The woman nods slowly and blankly comments, βEuan was injured during the battle, but I figure that heβll heal.β βIdiot,β the General mutters. βHow about Macio? I saw him take both their commanders on at once Did he get badly injured?β The Captain doesnβt move a muscle as she answers, βNo. He managed fine. If I had been closer to him during the battle, I would have reinforced him.β βThatβs good, then,β Manilius remarks. βHad I not brought you along on this mission, thereβs no way that this battle wouldβve went as smoothly as it did. And, you were the one who goaded me into attacking in the first place.β He looks up for a moment and makes a wide smile. βYou mightβve turned the tide of this war. The world owes you, Kornelia.β Korneliaβs eyes widen and her mouth opens. βIβ¦ perhaps. That makesβ¦ wowβ¦ my God...β Manilius laughs a little, saying, βYou donβt need to tell me. I understand, friend. Weβll know for certain once we comb those documents.β
The General looks to his Captain and says, βI need to ask you one more, just one more thing before this day ends. Get the troopsβ attentions. Youβre good at that. Tell them to set up camp to the south, next to that oasis. Itβll give us clean water, and I think the troops will sleep well tonight. Iβm gonna start heading that way, myself.β
In the skies above the battlefield, a few pegasus riding soldiers look down. One of them
... keep reading on reddit β‘I finished the Gladiator Arena in Krokodilopolis and it gave me one for Cyrene but it is quite far away. I'm taking my time but I'm curious if any other quests ever lead you there? I'd like to get there naturally through the game if that makes sense, but I'm already lvl 40 and just finished the Krokodilopolis main quest so I'm pretty overleveled...
Cyrene is a tough and sometimes cold bounty hunter, hired to take out highly dangerous targets for the right amount of coin. After losing her parents at a young age, Cyrene eked out a living in The Underslung, fighting hard merely to stay alive, soon having to resort to a stint of smuggling. Soon into her late teens a gang war began and she began to play both sides of it, gaining a steadily increasing income with which she paid for herself to receive military training. Quickly she discovered that she was a crack shot and she began to prioritize sniper training alongside learning to infiltrate and bypass security systems to make her an even more invaluable tool. She now works to gain enough money to free herself from The Underslung and find herself a better life in the city.
Cyrene is nicknamed 'Enenra' for her Mimesis Cloak, a device she uncovered from a prototype facility that looks like a standard cloak, but when wrapped over a person and activated retracts light, making the wearer all but invisible to the naked eye. She has also received discrete sub dermal implants to aid her in using her sniper rifle. Physically, Cyrene is lithe and of small build. She has dark orange, shoulder length hair and piercing green eyes. She has sharp features and is always prepared to fight, but she is level headed instead of aggressive and prefers to take her time and wait for the most opportune time to strike.
For a while I've had this character in mind for some scifi trpgs and I'd love to have a picture of her! She is fairly open to interpretation and I'm fine with colour or sketch, whatever you feel like! Saying this I would prefer that any body modifications are used sparingly as lore wise the region she is part of eschews such implants, so they have to be discrete. The cloak however may be however you wish to design it if you do so!
Thank you in advance for your interest and for making a drawing if you do!
So I'm doing the heroic kingdom quests. It first told me to come after 3 days to Cyrene for a quest. So I went to chersonese and did the cierzo quest. After competence and returning to Levant, Cyrene still tells me to come after some time. So I went to the inn(got a new quest there) and slept for 48 hours. Still no change. Is it bugged or something?
Lore says there is more than 10 levels. Team Haruhiro made it as far as level 5 (the foundry). What do you think would logically be in levels 6 to...let's say 11?
βThere was an odd thing with the last film, The Last Jedi, in that the people that didn't like it were sort of being gaslighted by the people that did like it, who were just dismissing their complaints about the film as being fanboy butthurt.β
