A list of puns related to "Simla"
So my question is, it is bugging the hell out of me what the article is. I was wondering if anyone else remembers reading it and if so could they post a link or links to more details about the history? I have been searching for it but seems to be buried away.
Earlier today, I made a post about Simlas just straightup being a good pointslam/thinning card despite some people on this subreddit doubting. And so, I have been thinking about other 11+p cards in this game, and I got sad really quickly.
For the newer players, let me explain. This game has a bad habit of printing new cards that are just objectively better than already-existing cards. God, when was the last time I played Philippa and Falibor in NR? Do you guys remember? They used to be the strongest cards in NR. People used to complain about them all the time in this subreddit. They used to say, "Why does NR have the strongest control in this game? NG is the control faction, not NR! This is OP!" But this "OP" duo never received a nerf. Instead, they slowly disappeared from the meta since MOO update and scenarios, and were completely gone by the time when Evo cards arrived.
For me, Philippa especially stands out because she is just way too inferior to the new Simlas card. Think about it.
Philippa: 1 power, 12 provision, 10 random damage, and possible synergy with Rev and perhaps Mage?
Simlas: 2 power, 12 provision, 10 targeted damage with potential 4 more point boost if deathblow, flexibility to choose other specials if there is nothing to kill (if using A. Rush, then he is freaking 18 points), 2 thinning, and potential Symbiosis, Spell, Gord, and no-unit synergy.
The gap between these cards are just ridiculous. They are not even on the similar level. And people say that this card sucks. He is not good enough. We need more and more and more to make ST great again.
Really?
This card already does 5 things at once. Do you really want more? If anything, I want less. Can't you see how stupid the new cards are getting? Is Draug transforming both rows even strong anymore? What about automatic Ethereal? Are they still strong? Can these what was once "OP", "gamebreaking", and "toxic" cards even compete in the meta nowadays?
Do you even remember when Whoreson Junior came out, and players complained how "OP" a 5 power 6 point targeted removal card is? Well now, we have 10 point removal. It can literally kill everything, not just The Beast. In fact, Simlas can kill the Beast with 4 point carryover handbuff. And you are telling me that is not insane?
With correct setup, this card can literally give you 20+ pointslam. And I find that problematic. Gwent really needs to stop this trend. Why are all 4p cards expected to be played for 7-10 points these days?
... keep reading on reddit β‘I've just ordered a couple of these Samla boxes as I know they are used by a lot of people as filament dryboxes. My Ender is in my garage and it is going to get moist in there so I need a drybox and I want to feed teh various filaments into the printer and for it to be easy to unload the filament when swapping filaments.
Looking on thingiverse I see there are a dozen or more different versions. Anyone got any experience of which ones are good or which to avoid?
Both Simlas and Mammuna are essentially the same:
>2 power + 2 x (value of the same bronze card)
Both Simlas and Mammuna have a very similar setup:
>Simlas: keep both copies of the same bronze card in deck
>
>Mammuna: have one copy of a bronze in GY and another copy of the same bronze in deck
However:
Now tell me, Reddit, what do you think when you're looking at these stats? This is only a discussion, please keep it civil.
Just had a match where opponent played down 2 Elven seers and then Simlas'd 2 orbs of Insight out of the deck next turn.
What happened next was he proceeded to play like 6 copies of orb of Insight. 12 points of boost, 12 points of vitality and 2 point Simlas in one turn and Hammadryad synergy of course. Instant round passed.
Just a cool interaction I encountered. Wonder if it was on purpose or if my opponent was as surprised as I was.
Its kinda cool to see that this combo exists using solely the new expansion cards.
Edit. It's actually 8 copies of Orb, since the copies spawned by Seer are not doomed.
Saw Simlas Finn aep Dabairr reveal and at first figured it was a slightly less shitty Iorveth's Gambit but then started wondering if there were ways to get more than 2 copies of a special into the deck to make it a little more OP. So far the only way I thought of was Vanadain. If you had him, Snowdrop, and Simlas in hand (plus 2 waylays in starting deck) you could add 2 waylays to your hand, shuffle them back with snowdrop, and then play a 26-38 point Simlas playing all 4 waylays in a single turn. Seems like a hard combo to pull off but got me thinking are there currently any other ways to add special cards to your deck?
Let's have a discussion on Shimla Agreement between India and Pakistan after the 1971 war. What do you think about it? Why it was not much discussed? Is it just because of Bhutto? I can't even remember reading about it in school.
Based on the situation Pakistan was in at that time, this was one of the best agreements we can get. we got almost everything without giving up anything. We get all our land back (5000 sq mi in West Pakistan) except the land we lost in Kashmir, paved the way to release all war prisoners (73k including 45K army personals), and kept our stance on Kashmir, and did not even recognize Bangladesh.

BBC published an article on it and that makes it win for Pakistan and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

I don't even know how to explain it, I use ellacharmed's world fixes and that includes Shang Simla, but when I google issues about Shang Simla with her fixes, I can only find issues with stuff not spawning correctly, which wasn't the case! Everything was there correctly, and the interior was fine (I also didn't have issues with this kind of problem on other worlds) I just was wondering why my sim couldn't go up the stairs and that's when I realized this:
????? how can you even do that?
I just teleported her and everything was fine, but the exterior was so messed up I had to take screenshots, for example:
This is how it's supposed to look like
And THIS is how it looked on my game

... keep reading on reddit β‘Today, I was quite shocked to find a person on this subreddit saying that this card sucks. Whereas when I looked at the card for the first time, I was sure that this card was busted as hell. Isn't this just a ridiculously good point slam card with 2 thinning? With insane removal reach and symbiosis and Gord synergy as well? What is your opinion on this card?
