A list of puns related to "Sierra Entertainment"
I was sitting at home, playing through Kingβs Quest VI for the umpteenth time, when I realized there is not a ton of material on the history of Sierra Entertainment. I know the names Ken & Roberta Williams (along with Jane Jensen, who would go from Kings Quest VI to make the acclaimed Gabriel Knight games), but I would love a video about the rise and fall of this once legendary company.
I can't stop thinking about it, how to link a real-time battle and a city builder whitout take the "easy route" of a Pharaoh or a Master of Olympus which consists in sending troops (looting, taking a city..) without managing them. I wonder if an AI can/should manage our city or our battle for us without being occupied by both at the same time? I have no doubt that this problem has already been addressed by the developer.
i owned many games by sierra entertainment for some reason, but i canβt seem to find it under their games, so perhaps itβs been lost to time or was most likely developed under another company. estimated release year wouldβve been 1995-1999, played on an imac g3.
all i remember was seeing rectangular images of flags, and the south korean flag always stood out to me as a kid. this is the extent of what i remember, i donβt know if it was educational, but it mightβve been in some respects. iβm sure itβll all come flooding back if i can ever get closure on this lmao.
At least I think they're called that.
When I was young I had a couple of CDs that contained a whole bunch of 90s Sierra games. I'm on a bit of a nostalgia drive here and I'm wondering if it's all hosted somewhere out there as abandonware now. I remember it would contain stuff like Castle of the Winds, which was in some sense my first ever PC game.
Does anyone remember what those CDs were?

>Sierra Entertainment (previously Sierra On-Line, commonly referred to as Sierra) is an American publisher founded in 1979 as On-Line Systems by Ken and Roberta Williams. Based in Oakhurst, California and later in Fresno, California, the company is owned by Activision, a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard.
>Sierra is best known today for its multiple lines of seminal graphic adventure games started in the 1980s, many of which proved influential in the history of video games. The Sierra label was absorbed by its parent company in 2008. Some franchises (such as Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon) that were published by Sierra were later published by Activision.
>Sierra was revived in 2014 by Activision Blizzard. It now focuses on re-releasing their old games, reviving their franchises and collaborating with independent developers for smaller projects.
Sierra was once one of the top publishers and was well known for its adventures (King's Quest, Leisure-Suit-Larry) and later on for it's strategy games (Homeword, Empire Earth) or games like Half-Life and the SWAT series.
Prompts
What Sierra Games did you play?
Do you think Sierra left a mark with the games its published?
Do you think Sierra would still be relevant today if the Vivendi-Activision fusion didn't happen?
so if any of you know what "Lords of Magic" you know of some really bad, old games... but I love it. I want to make a D&D/ Pathfinder world/campaign for urak. A few questions though, how should I handle the faiths? make my own pantheon or bend the arm of the D&D universe's gods to fit in the ones of Urak? and should I make countries and faiths very tied together or loose and not really relevant? first time making a "world" but hope to give it a try.
My family wasn't financially well off, so I didn't own a computer and haven't owned a console since 8-bit Nintendo (I loved Zelda!). I'm all grown up and have a job now; I still don't own a console, but have considered purchasing one. I down have a desktop Mac.
