A list of puns related to "Screechy"
Hi there - is it normal to hear a screechy soft sound from the speakers of the IQ2+ panel when it's idle? I can only hear it if I'm within 2 feet of the panel
Thanks
I'm probably not the first person to make this connection.
Whenever there's an RJ face on the wall or a reference to something he's done, there's this high-pitched whine that plays in the background, and it always struck me as the audible representation of a specific visual phenomenon: the glint of a knife blade. Anyone else?
Idk why but ever since i shifted to spotify from apple music, i feel that the music is lacking in bass and the treble is a bit harsh. And yes the music quality is set to βvery highβ. Iβm pretty darn sure this isnβt placebo because i did a blind test with my brother, and he too said the same thing. Iβm listening to them on a sennheiser HD 569. Would love it if you guys could share your thoughts or experiences regarding this. Iβm curious!
Update: iβve been using youtube music for 2 days, and i find its music quality to be the most balanced in terms of bass and treble. The music sounds very warm on youtube music and iβm loving it!
My MIL came uninvited to our apartment to show me the white ball gown she is planning to wear to our wedding. I very calmly and politely asked her to please take off her shoes and slip into the soft, fluffy slippers I bought just for her because I didn't want the loud sound of footsteps to disturb our downstairs neighbours. I actually went to the gym to become lighter and trimmer in order to take up less space and make less noise because I wanted to be considerate of the people around me. My MIL .. um .. did not choose similarly.
My MIL immediately started screeching screechily, accusing me of violating her vegan "beliefs" by making trying to make her wear fur slippers. I don't think she's really vegan because I've never seen a vegan who was .. um .. so robust, but I helpfully and gently explained to her that the slippers were not made of real fur. She then bellowed out a shriek as she accused me of gaslighting her with fake fur to manipulate her into a reaction.
Just when I thought she had finally calmed down, she squawked out a piercing howl and accused me of fat shaming her by implying that her footsteps are loud because she is fat. While yes, she is rather .. um .. buxom, it was never my intention to fat shame her. I kindly and composedly clarified that I would never dream of fat shaming anybody. I see the beauty deep, deep down in every human being, no matter how grotesque(not that I'm saying she's grotesque). I also assured her that I don't hold her .. plush figure .. against her and that she was free to take up as much space as she wanted, even in this era of rapidly diminishing resources.
My clement words did not soothe her. She started jumping up and down in an uncontrolled rage. I was frankly surprised that someone so .. zaftig .. could jump so high. Her jumping caused the neighbour's chandelier to fall on the precious heirloom her great-grandfather's butcher's barber left to her great-great-uncle's accountant who left it to her, breaking it.
WIBTA if I courteously and serenely request that my MIL help me pay for the repairs to the neighbour's chandelier and heirloom? I'd pay for it all myself but I'm temporarily short of cash as I used all the money from my many accounts and trust funds to set up orphanages in Atlantis, El Dorado, Agartha and Xanadu.
Edited to Add: People in the comments keep asking if I used a thesaurus while writing this post. I don't know what that is. I'm not in America and don't understand American references. Sorry
... keep reading on reddit β‘I bought a Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link HP02 from Costco in late 2020, and it's recently started making a faint screeching like noise on fan setting 3.
It's never been dropped or knocked over.
I reached out to Dyson Support via chat and I've tried the troubleshooting steps provided with no resolution, and their suggestion was to send in the device in for repair.
What would you do?
Has anyone had good luck with getting air purfifer fan issues fixed permanently, or does the issue eventually come back?
that's all i have to say
Heard this song in a supermarket. I could barely understand her. I think one would label it as pop music, and from the sound of it I would say it is probably a popular and fairly newish song that I should probably know of, if I knew anything about todays music.
Her voice was very unusually unclear and kind of weird and screechy for a lack of better words. More like a Gnome but that isn't very fitting as well. I googled singers with unusual voices and all of the results had crystal clear voices, so no chance here.
Hey there mechanics, I'm someone who has made it through most of adult life living in cities without cars, so my knowledge about their maintenance is fairly limited, and even driving experience is quite sparse, but having just moved to the suburbs I had to get some means of transportation. And current market forces being what they are I may have moved a little quickly on something that seemed "nearly new."
Anyway, a friend suggested maybe this subreddit could help me with what I'm considering an issue with the new (to me) vehicle.
Basically there's a screech pretty much every time I brake for the first mile or two after starting the car. After which it has mostly faded out, but I don't think it ever goes away entirely since I'll sporadically catch a much quieter slightly lower frequency little squeak here or there. Whenever I hear it it's a low speed brake, not braking just to lose a little speed like on the highway, but probably coming to a stop (though the low speed braking in parking lot will do it without having to stop).
The screech is not just one time in the morning so I don't think it's morning rust as google has popped up enough. If anything it seems temperature dependent. If I drive five miles to a store it's pretty well gone by the time I park, but it's right back when I come out and start driving 15 minutes later.
Anyway, while I'm a driving noob, I've been a passenger enough in my life to know that this amount of screeching is inordinate, and also I did rent and drive three cars in this area (Austin, TX) preceding obtaining this one (2020 kia forte from a rental company, and then from individuals with turo app: 2011 scion and 2012 civic). The only one of them that had any such screech was the scion and that one was a one and done in the morning screech.
I've had some back and forth with the dealer, they told me they lubricated the brake pad, and then when I said it was still happening they tried to placate me by replacing the rear brake pads though the pads seemed to all have plenty of width left (I think the sound is coming from the rear, passenger side if I had to guess though it's tough given how sound might carry) and resurfaced the rare rotors. The sound still persists. I also had a local nissan dealer do their "free brake inspection" while there for a recall on the car and they just gave the all good on the brakes as well.
So any other potential culprit? More info needed? And since it seems like I'll have to do anything that might
... keep reading on reddit β‘Ok so usually I donβt listen to the podcast, but I was bored today. I listened about halfway before being bored by the podcast episode.
That being said⦠Is it me or has she toned down the screaming and screeching? Maybe she finally took a hint from this sub?
Anyone can tell me how this is made?
You can hear it at 0:44 here https://youtu.be/FQLHzFdQ1q4
I have been watching a number of videos of the Modern Alto Recorder, and in all of them (including Sarah Jeffery's video), the high register of the instrument appears to be somewhat screechy or harsh, it could be my computer, not sure.
There was only one section of Sarah Jeffery's video (the best video on this instrument so far), where the instrument was not screechy in the high register, and it was when she was demonstrating that you can play the high register softly. That may suggest a limitation of the instrument.
This dampens somewhat my enthusiasm over planning to buy it.
