A list of puns related to "Science Fiction Magazine"
This isn't a new poll, it's just based on observations from their old polls from 1975 (nothing selected was for before 1973, so I treated that as the real cutoff date), 1987 (for books up through 1980), 1998 (for books before 1990) and 2012 (for the 20th century). You can see the polls here:

I'm guessing there will be another one in the next 5 years. I was looking at the polls to see which books appeared in the 2012 poll and at least one earlier poll (which means anything before 1990 wouldn't be a candidate). Here's the list. If I didn't note otherwise, it has appeared in every poll since it was eligible.
Last and First Men, Olaf Stapledon (1930)
1984, George Orwell (1949)
Earth Abides, George R. Stewart (1949)

The Caves of Steel, Isaac Asimov (1953) (did not appear on 1998 list for books up through 1989, but appeard on lists before and after that)

Resource link: Mega-List of Science Fiction and Fantasy Magazines - Paying markets
From the resource website:
>Speculative fiction has a loyal fan base, so if you write science fiction or fantasy there are dozens of magazines that want your work! Here is a list of paying markets for journals accepting speculative fiction. Some have submission periods, so make sure you read their guidelines carefully. All are paying markets, and none charge submission fees.
>
>Submission strategies
This table is a bit daunting, but you can simplify your task by making a list of all the places you intend to submit. (Make a separate list for each story or article.) As you submit, make sure to keep track of where, when, and how you submitted (i.e. email, Submittable, online form, etc.).
>
>If you want to get published fast, start with the magazines that accept simultaneous submissions, and submit to all of them. Once your work is accepted, don't forget to withdraw it immediately from the remaining magazines. (If you have used Submittable, this is very simple. Just click "Withdraw.")
>
>I suggest you start with the pro markets. These are harder to get into, but if you get published in a prestigious magazine it will establish you as a serious writer.
>
>Save the magazines that take reprints for last. You can submit to those after your story has been published elsewhere.

The title says it all, out of curiosity! Is it the best SF magazine in your opinion? What is the one you consider to be the greatest in terms of cover vintage design or not, and of content, alltogether? I mean which month and year of the magazine, a specific number of the collection. What about SF short stories published anthologies in book format? Any to recommend? Thanks in advance!
