Suppose I have a set of M points in an N dimensional space and I know these points can be connected in this M dimensional space to produce a surface. Is there a way of me obtaining this surface from the set of points i have? Furthermore can i then take this surface and map it to a 2D space in such a way that both the distance between and angles between the points are conserved in the transformation?

As requested, here's the Plato's scale representation of Atlantis projected onto the Richat structure. The center circle of the structure is larger than the whole city is presumed to be. Interestingly though, the outer wall positioned 50 stadia away from the city does align with the outermost ring.

Integer space?-Data Representation
On the Data Representation quiz, there was a question that goes:
"The value 5 is stored in a signed (2's complement) integer. The bits are shifted 4 places to the right. What is the resultant value (in decimal)?"
I knew 5 in bit form was 0101 so I knew if I shifted it 4 places to the right, it would be .0101. Then I added 1/4 + 1/16 to get 5/16. However, I got the question wrong because "5/16 is zero in integer space". I'm not quite sure what that means, and it would be of great help if you could help me out!
Also, another solution was "shifting 0101 4 spaces to the right would shift all the 1's out." I'm having trouble understanding this part also, would love if you could help me on this as well!
This was hated out of the 40k subreddit within minutes :D but having only built GW models before I'm really impressed with the amount of engineering that went into this Real Grade gunpla kit. Over-molded sprues, double joints up the wazoo, awesome stickers etc. (Space Marine for scale)
