My grandpa is a Rwandan genocide denier. I have no idea why. We live in Wales, have no connection to Rwanda and he isn't a conspiracy kind of guy in general. He has never been to Rwanda or met a Rwandan yet in his house he has pages of documents 'proving the hoax', such as a full script for the movie Hotel Rwanda with a bunch of random letters from the words highlighted showing the secret messages' from the director. He says that Paul Kagame doesn't exist and that 'every picture of bodies 'is clearly in Burundi' and has huge printouts of aerial photographs of Burundi to prove it. Not sure what he has against Rwanda but if you bring it up to him he calls you a 'Tutsi
I’m staying with my parents for Easter listening to conference and I just can’t believe that this guy is calling genocide “unfairness” and comparing it to all other “unfairness.” It’s gross, using such monumental suffering as a “hook” for your talk and then dismissing it as just one of those things. 🥵😡🤬

“unfair” is when you do all the work for a group project, not when hundreds of thousands of people are mercilessly slaughtered in their streets.

- it took place in 1994 between April 7th and July 15th
- it’s estimated that there were as many as 800,000 deaths
- this wasn’t an invasion of strangers, but a betrayal of neighbors and friends. people were being hunted and murdered by those they had barbecues and worshipped with.

so basically, all you have to do is change your perspective on things. look at this through your loving heavenly father’s eyes and know that your trials will be consecrated for your good. things will be made right, but focusing on the how and when is unproductive and myopic. and don’t forget, nothing compares to the unfairness that jesus had to endure because of your sins.
