(Spoilers main) What kind of a ruler would you be if you were king if the seven kingdoms?
I often find myself thinking about what would happen if different characters were to sit the iron throne. Then I drift and think, what would I do if I were king, how would I govern the realm.
My question to everyone is if you were king (or queen) of the seven kingdoms, what kind of ruler would you be? What policies and law would you make? What alliances would you forge? Etc.
If you were to become the sovereign ruler of a good sized kingdom (in all aspects) In the middle ages, what would you do?
So, you guys know how each ruler is made out of the same stuff as their kingdom?

During the Middle Ages if you committed treason against a sovereign in a kingdom that you weren't born in, could that ruler try and sentence you to death?
I've been reading Wikipedia articles (and articles in general) on treason, the Treason Act of 1940, punishments for such etc. etc., but there's nothing in those articles or on Google answering my question. I'm guessing it's too wordy or maybe I'm phrasing it wrong. Anyway, I was hoping you Historians could shed some light. Thanks.
