A list of puns related to "Pushkin"
One of the reasons I love season 5 so much is because we finally got to see Luke and Lorelai BEING together and also dealing with normal (for those characters) "relationship drama." This is what I wanted more of in season 6 instead of surprise kid!
This is one of my most re-watched episodes because it's not a grand moment like their first kiss or the first time they have sex but shows them working together as a couple over some inconsequential drama. In this episode Lorelai learns something private about Luke, does something that pushes him to be angry (with good intentions), she learns something about respecting his boundaries, he learns something about letting her in and not being so quick to anger, they talk it out- he stops her mid-sentence with a kiss- and LOOK HOW SMITTEN she is with him. I wanted MORE OF THIS with them.

I love the tour Rory gives Anna. She's really dedicated to it and kind to her in general. I know people say they found it boring but I was so engrossed listening to Rory talk about the library they go to and the story about the woman who designed the Women's Table who also designed the Vietnam War Memorial. Rory's also in her element there, talking about history and Yale, and teaching someone something, and it's really nice to see!
I also love when they go to the pub and while Rory's ordering their cappuccinos and talking to Marty, two guys join Anna at her table and invite her to a party. And Rory tells them that they'll consider it if Anna turns 18 in the next few hours. It's funny because it also sort of reminds me of the pilot and Rory's inner Lorelai comes out with the sass and wit there.
Donβt ask me why, alone in dismal thought,
In times of mirth, Iβm often filled with strife,
And why my weary stare is so distraught,
And why I donβt enjoy the dream of life;
Donβt ask me why my happiness has perished,
Why I donβt love the love that pleased me then,
No longer can I call someone my cherishedβ
Who once felt love will never love again;
Who once felt bliss, no more will feel its essence,
A momentβs happiness is all that we receive:
From youth, prosperity and joyful pleasantry,
All that is left is apathy and grief.
Hi,
Im going to start writing master's dissertation about Pushkin's influence on todays russian culture. I know Pushkin is everywhere in Russia, but i am looking for examples and articles being more specific about it.
It can be even linguistic like "ΠΡΡΠΊΠΈΠ½ΡΠΊΠΈΠΉ ΡΠ·ΡΠΊ" and so on.
Best regards
Davit
Strike me dead, the track has vanished,
Well, what now? Weβve lost the way,
Demons have bewitched our horses,
Led us in the wilds astray.
What a number! Whither drift they?
Whatβs the mournful dirge they sing?
Do they hail a witchβs marriage
Or a goblinβs burying?
A Pushkin
