I'm heading to Punta Cana this week and plan to spend some time at the Hard Rock Casino. Has anyone been before? Looking for advice/tips etc.

I have family and close friends staying in the DR this week so I was curious about the cigar shop inside the resort, I made it very clear do not buy cigars from the beach or street vendors but today I got a text from my son in law saying “pick out some cigars you like”
So from the photos they seem to have a decent selection but man without being there to see for my self I don’t want them buying fakes, he told me the guy at the counter said “they’re real cubans” (of course he would) I can edit and upload the shop photos he sent me

I'm down at the Hard Rock Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic until Saturday. I've been here since last Saturday. The casino is a good size and has a bunch of tables games and slots. The biggest issue I have is the high limits. Blackjack starts at $15, Roulette starts at $2 a number (which isn't bad considering it used to be $10 a number), a lot of the slots are $0.02 not $0.01 (although they do have penny slots), and craps is $15. That's it $15 all the time. As a result the craps tables stay empty most of the night. I've said things to the casino staff that they are shutting out most of their guests but they don't listen.
I had previously lost $200 at the craps tables earlier in the week. I didn't bring a ton with me for the whole trip so I was conservative and only bought in for $200. The table was empty as usual so I had to roll alone. I lost $60 and people started to get curious and hop on. After I crapped out we had a bunch of short rolls and a few drunk folks throwing $5 on the box cars and hitting it a couple times. The minimum on all the center bets are $5 also... My bankroll for the evening was gone in 25 minutes and I was betting extremely conservatively. Pass line, $15 odds behind, and only getting on the 6/8 if I hit a point. I could not win.
Anyway on to last night... For various reasons I didn't get back to the casino until last night so I decided to start at blackjack since I'm perpetually pissed at the casino for the $15 min. Got on a nearly full table, bought in for $200 and hit a really good streak. Was up about $150 after 20 minutes or so. It slowed so I walked off with $272.50. Up $72.50 for the evening.
Took it over to the craps tables. Round 2...
Watched some nice folks I met from the other session roll a bit. Eventually the table went cold and they left. I hopped into my favorite spot (Stick Left 1) and got on with one roller before. He was mid roll so I hopped on a come bet. Hit a yo, lost on a craps 3, lost on a craps 12, got onto 9 with 1x odds, placed my come get again then he 7'd out. My turn. I decided to play Pass Line, 1-2x odds, and come bets. Because of the relatively high starting limit I wanted to play for as long as possible. I went on a nice little tear. I hit 6 points and was hitting my come bets with odds left and right. Hit the 6 as a point 3 times and as a Come bet 4 times. Lost 3 or 4 Come bets to craps but overall super solid roll. At one point I was on all numbers with either come bets or the point. T
