A list of puns related to "Professional Sports League Organization"
Introduced: Sponsor: Rep. Gregory Steube [R-FL17]
This bill was referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means which will consider it before sending it to the House floor for consideration.
I come to you all for your input on various topics, such as Ticketing, Merchandising, (Digital) Marketing, Video Content, Event Management, and Global Football Operations in regard to Arsenal -- But may be applicable for Premier League and/or Football (Soccer) fans.
Here's the link to the survey which should not take no more than 6 minutes: Arsenal F.C. | MGMT Capstone Project
Context:
I'm on the verge of graduating from University, but my last hurdle is a "Capstone Project" for my undergraduate business degree.
There were various topics that I had the option to base my project on, but the one that stuck out the most was "Sports Team Management," specifically, improve existing operations and profitability. Being a Football fan and a die-hard Arsenal fan, it was a no brainier on basing my graduating capstone project on Arsenal.
For the last couple of weeks, I have been conducting interviews alongside my partner with professionals within the "Football/Sport Operations" space here in the USA (LAFC, LA Galaxy, SJ Earthquakes, and US "Soccer" Federation -- no dice just yet with professionals @ Arsenal or other PL/Championship teams). I'm now at the point where I need to get input directly from the fans themselves before finalizing our recommendations by conducting a survey.
I would greatly appreciate your help and welcome any additional comments, suggestions, and concerns.
For the record I love the way the MLB does this and itβs unique. This is just a way to create discussion. Also feel free to include other years besides 2010-now if you want to, I would love if that happens.
2010: For sure Josh Hamilton
2011: Maybe Verlander? Not sure though
2012: For sure Miggy.
2013: Probably Miggy again
2014: I obviously want to say Kershaw but I think they would give it to the position player Mike Trout
2015: Bryce Harper easily
2016: Maybe Mike Trout but I donβt know the media were in love with the Cubs that year so probably Kris Bryant.
2017: For sure Altuve. Media were in love with him and the Astros that year.
2018: Very difficult between Yelich and Betts. I would probably guess Mookie Betts.
2019: Close between Trout and Bellinger but I think they give it to Bellinger
2020: Freddie Freeman for sure.
2021: Shohei Ohtahni easily.
This post most definitely wears the bias of someone who was born and raised in Green Bay, and has cheered for the Packers since before he could even walk.
I now live far away from Wisconsin and my hometown of Green Bay. I recently attended a Packer game, however, when they were the visiting team in the area that I now reside in - the SF bay area (yes, this was the game that was won by Rodgers and Mason Crosby in 37 seconds).
At this game, there were many Packer fans. Although they remained a minority at the Santa Clara stadium, they formed a strong presence at the stadium, an impressively large one considering the geographical distance between Green Bay and California.
I was surprised by this, and took the opportunity to introduce myself to as many Green Bay fans as I could, and learn about their affinity to the green and gold.
I was surprised to discover that none of these fans were from Wisconsin, almost all had in fact never visited the state. Most were California natives. I was able to share my stories, knowledge, and legendary tales to these folks who were not familiar with the unique greatness of the franchise.
I learned about how they became fans - it was often due to them going to a game when they were younger. One person made a remark on βthe soulβ of the team. Their fandom was rooted in something more abstract, as opposed to mine which was instilled and ingrained in my identity due to my regional upbringing. Nevertheless, I was taken aback upon observing the number of committed Packer fans inhabiting an area that hosted a football team which also achieved a large amount of success in the NFL.
Although these fans struggled to place their finger on what exactly makes the packers such a great organization, they were just as enthusiastic and devoted as myself.
I, however, can provide a host of convincing reasons as to why the Packers are the greatest professional sports organization in the country, and perhaps the world.
Although the Packers possess only 4 super bowl championships - fewer than the Steelers, Patriots, 49ers and Cowboys - they posess the most NFL championships. The championships won before the Super Bowl era are relevant, and absolutely should be considered when analyzing the teams history of success. The argument that the pre-Super Bowl championships donβt matter because the game and the league were so different back then holds no water - as the early super bowl era was also significantly different football than what is pla

The New York Yankees personified the size of players, the big plays, power, intimidation and instilling fear into the opposition; the Brooklyn Dodgers represented speed, player development and formulating a unique way of playing the game.
Just Win Baby.

Sir Alex Ferguson - 48 trophies
He's easily the most decorated manager in football history (https://external-preview.redd.it/Ppt75nJpQgMiSl7oQMXN7T5xwe3SwFt1YdlPL2OAv0E.jpg?auto=webp&s=946377d3b76fff9c14b768bea6645d20733f84c4) and if you compare his count to CLUBS - not just in football but all sports - you get the following:

... keep reading on reddit β‘So, as a member of various sports leagues in Ottawa, it appears that almost all of them have done right by their players. For example; Ball hockey leagues that refunded half-played seasons, softball leagues that returned payments before the league started, etc.
But one league started collecting money, as a deposit, in January and required teams to be making interval payments on their league dues up to the start of the season in May. When May started and prohibitions were still in place, we were not offered refunds and instead told to wait it out and we may receive a pro-rated cost and refund.
When June rolled around and there was still a prohibition on team games being played on fields, we were told to wait it out... because we would be starting in July.
We were told today that we will be going ahead with the season (starting this week) because the City has lifted more prohibitions. However, the rules that would be in place don't really allow for the playing of the sport, or really any sport (for example: maximum two groups of 10 people, maintaining a distance from each other - two teams of 10 and no ref/ump/other official?).
Any thoughts? Anybody official that we can take this to, to shut this down and get money returned?
If so, I'm curious about how this works. Do you have access to every single piece of footage that's ever been filmed, from every game, from every camera?
As someone who edits sports videos for fun, having to scour the internet for footage to use is exhausting, and I'm very jealous if you guys really do get to use all that footage, no watermarks, full HD, real speed, 60 or more frames per second, etc.
