Pro Set Puns

/r/gusjohnson has been set to 'private'. The inciting incident for privating the sub is as of yet unknown, but the sub has been in a meltdown for weeks now. The subreddit was also largely unmoderated.

Youtuber Abelina Sabrina made a video about her experience of having an ectopic pregnancy rupture. After explaining how the medical system failed her, she went into how her boyfriend at the time was abusive towards her.

People quickly drew a timeline and figured out* the boyfriend she was talking about was youtuber Gus Johnson, which was later all but confirmed by Sabrina.

The Subreddit did not take the news well. It melted down and divided into several groups attacking each other, with moderation next to none.

The sub was locked for a while and unlocked later. After this, moderation largely left the Subreddit.

I don’t think it is a hot take to say that Dynamic Discs has the weakest branding scheme, from brand name to disc naming conventions. Out of all the major brands DD would be my last choice of molds to throw… and it has zero to do with the actual performance of their discs. Does the recent pro signs move the dial in a significant way? Ricky will move a huge amount of plastic for them, no doubt. But personally not sure it’s enough for me to move on from the likes Discraft and others.

I don't see this get mentioned, but my favorite thing about the display is just how nice it looks on the Natural profile. Coming from the og XL I often found it too saturated or too dull on sRGB, but the 6 Pro really nailed it imo with this one.

I tried to install stack by home-brew, but it works weirdly, such as, return a segment fall when I run stack new my-project. Should I use rosetta 2 to run a x86 stack? I'm new to macOS.

Let me begin by saying you can like the set. That's fine. It's your personal opinion about a stylistic choice, which in the end, is different for everyone. However, the many issues with this set should be recognized. You can like a set but also realize why it's a little problematic.

Pros:

I will have to say, there aren't many.

1. The coat design is pretty imo
2. We finally have pants in the game
3. I like the hat
4. The masculine toggle works really well

Cons:

Unfortunately, there are cons. There are few, but they are far more impactful and influential. I will be putting it into the perspective of the game as a whole, and not only as the set itself.

1. The set is pretty overpriced

Almost 200k for one set is honestly just crazy. I don't think I need to elaborate on this.

2. The body type is incredibly unrealistic

I have multiple issues on this point. First, the fact that the body type is unrealistically skinny already promotes the idea that skinny = pretty. Second, all the sets in-game are pretty much already skinny, which means we have enough representation of skinny bodies. If this was the ONLY set with a skinny body, then yes, this would fall under representation. However because all of the sets have skinny bodies, this new set just further reinforces the narrative that skinny = beautiful. We have yet to see one set with any body type except skinny.

Now I'm going to explain why this is harmful, especially in a game like Royale High. Let me be clear, I know that Royale High is "just a game". The issue is the game has an audience of young kids, mostly under 18. These minors are being conditioned to see that skinny = beautiful because of the lack of body representation.

It is specifically because Royale High has a young audience, that representation is important. Royale High isn't "just" a game; any form of media has effects on people, especially children. The reason why people are pushing for more representation in big media like film, fashion, etc, is because it is harmful to only promote one type of body. And promoting one type of body is what Royale High has ONLY done.

The last issue I have, is the fact that people have been saying players need to suck it up.

The reason why requesting representation is fair, is because Royale High is not a game centred around skinny people and skinny bodies. Royale High is a dress-up game, and anyone can dress-up, no matter what they look like.

Let me give you an example.

Edit: Thanks everyone for the replys, I decided not to return it.

So first, I have to get the polar alignment right, which I manage, but then when fixing it, it moves a bit. Then I set that as park position. Once I start 2 star alignment, It’s way off. Then when I try to use the directional keys to get it into frame, IT MOVES IN THE OPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE KEY I PRESS. When I press down, the telescope moves up, and vice versa. When I press right, it goes diagonally, and more up than right. When I press left it also moves down. Also, the Polar scope is a bit of a pain to deal with as I am quite new to all this. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Any advice? Thanks in advance.

The character Angie Chen is supposedly half-white half-Asian from AMWF parents. However, it's pretty obvious she presents and passes as AF. The actual actress playing Angie Chen is Emma Galbraith (who presents and passes as AF), but is presumably a WMAF half.

Again, it's always white males "triggering" a sexual awakening and pleasure in Asian females. Why can't the partner be anything but a white male (if not Asian male)? (The WM in this movie also happens to be named "Liam", basically the name of every WM sexpat/English teacher you find in Japan.)
