I'm trying to fix the Plassey Bridge and I have the note from Faraday which shows the code as being 1492. However when I try to interact with the machine to input the code, the game says I need Faraday to help me fix the Bridge. She has already teleported away so I have no idea what to do.
Any ideas?
The Battle of Plassey is one of the decisive wars in Indian history. The main reasons for this war were:
(1.) Non-fulfillment of the terms of the Treaty of Alinagar: Neither party took interest in complying with the terms of the Treaty of Alinagar. Siraj-ud-daulah had promised to give compensation to the British but he did not give any compensation. Ramje Mure states that the Nawab was not ready to fulfill the terms of the treaty, so war became necessary. On the other hand, the company started preparing for war even before the Nawab. The British believed that as long as Siraj-ud-daulah remained the Nawab, the interests of the company would remain a threat.
(2.) Blaming the Nawab by the British: Siraj-ud-daulah in some of his personal letters promised not to befriend the enemies of the British. The company also considered such assurances a part of the treaty. Whereas the truth was that it was only at the time of the treaty that the Nawab refused to accept such a condition. It was during these days that the French of Bengal attempted to increase relations with the Nawab, which made Clive apprehensive that the Nawab would meet the French and seek retaliation from the British. Therefore, Clive sought permission from the Nawab to invade the French colony of Chandranagar. The Nawab did not want to make the French his enemy. Therefore, he sent evasive answers to the British. Clive attacked Chandranagar on 14 March 1757 and captured it too. The British also accused the Nawab of breaking the terms of Alinagar, which the Nawab did not accept. The Nawab said that the French of Bengal did not do anything against the British, then how should they be considered an enemy? But the British kept their word.
(3.) Conspiracy of the chiefs of the state against the Nawab: Some influential Muslim chieftains and wealthy Hindu Nawabs were engaged in plotting against Siraj-ud-Daula. When the British asked for their cooperation in this work, they immediately gave their approval. Among the Muslim chieftains were Mir Jafar, Mirza Amir Baig and Hussain Khan who were insulted in some form or the other by the Nawab. Hindus were opposed to Siraj-ud-Daulah because of his staunch religious policies. Jagat Seth Bandhu, Mehtabarai and Swaroop Chandra were also humiliated by the Nawab. Nadia's powerful landowner Maharaja Krishnachandra was also dissatisfied with the anti-Hindu policy of the Nawab. Many prominent Hindu traders had close relations with British traders. They also wanted to rem

According to Wikipedia, the British won the battle of Plassey by bribing Mir Jafar β who controlled 50 000 out of the Nawab's 62 000 soldiers β to have his men stay inactive during the battle allowing the significantly numerically inferior british soldiers to win the battle. Mir Jafar was made Nawab, but after he made a treaty with the dutch and the british defeated an army of 2 000 dutch troops, the British East India Company "forced him to abdicate in favour of his son".
If the british needed the defection of 80% of the 62 000 they faced at Plassey to have a chance at winning, why did Mir Jafar simply accept to renounce the throne as opposed to try to push the british out?
