I'll be in Pittsfield for a couple of days this week, this is my second visit but the first time everything was closed because of Covid. I'll be staying downtown and would love some food and drink recommendations! I'm open to all types of places other than something really fancy, since I'm traveling alone.

A couple of years ago I volunteered to help out at a store waaaaay out of my itinerary. I usually commuted from the Hartford area to Springfield, MA for work. But a store in our chain needed help and I felt like an adventure away from my norm.
The store was a lot farther than anticipated and after a blah day I set out home. Problem was it was October and the sun was gone by 8pm. A full moon to boot. And the road home runs by a state forest with little illumination for drivers.
I generally don't like driving at night. I can't see very well. Because of this I like using my high beams. After about 45 minutes of driving in darkness with barely any street lights, the full moon lighting the areas my high beams, I was already apprehensive. No cars on the road but me. Ugh.
Slowly driving because I'm afraid of some dead man's curve or something, I saw in the road a dead deer. I just drive around it and the smell was pretty bad. And just as the smell drifted out of my car which was pretty distracting, something was in front of me on the passenger side running. It ran on 2 legs but had a gait that made it look like it was on four at times. It was human like in skin color but had almost a hunchy spiny back and bald head. As soon as I got close enough it veered sharply into the woods. I did not movie cliche into a stop. Or look in the rear view mirror. I just got sick to my stomach and kept driving. Told my wife and went to bed and decided never to take that route again.

Wondering how you guys feel about Jack's Cannabis Co in Pittsfield? They sell Fernway carts, while Bloom does not. I avoid Berkshire Roots because of bad experiences with them taking forever to send me a confirmation text, but they sell them too.
How is Jack's Cannabis Co in your opinion, how long do they usually take, and are Fernway carts good enough in your opinion to justify me switching up dispensaries for my next trip?

my state legalized last year but still no stores and after moving i lost my connect. I found out about this area and all the dispensaries and looking to make the trip (about 2hr drive each way). I'm looking to pick up a few different eights and some edibles.
Can anyone recommend some dispensaries? My research led me to those three towns but a lot of the suggestions are 6+ months old. I'm not looking to pay too much, hopefully 40-50 per eight, so price is definitely a factor.
any advice is much appreciated.

Moonlight Meadery & Hidden Moon Brewing at over the moon farmstead is a meadery and brewery [in lovely Pittsfield, NH](1253 Upper City Road, Pittsfield, NH 03263).
Not your typical "beer" spot, but they're open 7 days a week and frequently do live music, have breath taking views and is a great spot to really enjoy the fall weather. It's also a fairly unknown spot so you don't have to deal with too many leaf peepers.
