A list of puns related to "Piperine"
Does piperine boost aswwagandha?
I read in studies that said it does, but in older threads on this sub people said only specific formulations like longvida cross the blood brain barrier. So whatβs the verdict? Also, how effective is it as a COX-2 inhibitor?
Anybody know of any interactions between adderall and piperine. I take adderall almost every day and recently bought curcumin+piperine capsules. Will the piperine affect the adderall, like make it stronger/weaker or change the duration I feel the adderall?
Hey Y'all. I'm soliciting general opinions whether anecdotal or experimental on what to expect or how to strategize with the supplements I purchased recently. Anyone that isn't up for discussion and just wants to point me in the right direction, that's cool.
Also, if anyone has any good strategies for observation, experimenting, charting or note taking, I'd really appreciate that.
I recently received the following
Note: I recently began acquiring separate DHA and EPA due to the recent research about how they negatively affect one another. I take them on different days and primarily take EPA.
STRENGTH trial casts some doubt on omega-3 benefits
The STRENGTH trial, published in JAMA, looked at a different formulation of omega-3 fish oil β a combination of EPA and DHA β to see if it would also reduce cardiovascular risk. This study enrolled over 13,000 patients who were randomized to receive either the EPA/DHA combination pill or the placebo (a pill filled with corn oil). The trial was terminated early due to an interim analysis revealing no difference between the two treatment groups.
We donβt know for certain why the REDUCE-IT trial showed a benefit from omega-3s while the STRENGTH trial did not. One possibility is that the different results are due to the different drugs studied. REDUCE-IT studied a purified formulation of high-dose EPA, which resulted in higher EPA levels. This was similar to the results of another trial, which also found that pure EPA reduced the risk of cardiac events. The STRENGTH trial tested a combination of EPA and DHA. No large study has ever evaluated the effects on cardiovascular outcomes of purified DHA alone, leaving us to wonder whether DHA might counteract the benefits of EPA.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I've made a great, potent tincture of grapefruit peel. Did it to be able to give myself a regular dose of naringenin on a daily basis on the theory it may help with fatty liver (which unfortunately I have). I've also read that naringenin isn't exactly the most bioavailable compound out there. Does anyone know about whether piperine (which I could get from a black pepper tincture) would make naringenin more bioavailable, or is that a theory that doesn't fly? (I know piperine makes curcumin more bioavailable, so was interested in trying it out.)
Do you stack your morning Moda with anything else out of interest?
Ive heard people stacking it with one or more of the following and im interested to know if anyone here does it and do you think its a good idea?
Piperine
Vyvanse
Adderall
Vitamin K2
Caffeine
*Sorry mods if this isnt allow please im not looking for a ban im just generally curious
I read that sodium bismuthate or lead tetraacetate could be used for the piperine to piperonal reaction. Does anyone have a paper on this or any info? Would 1:1 mole ratio work? What are the yields like?
I am looking into piperine ozonolysis and i am simply wondering if using zinc dust as my reducing agent would yield the desired piperonal. Also what quantity of zinc dust do I need per mole of piperine?
Is there a concern with taking too much piperine, such as preformulated supplement combinations of green tea extract with piperine, Curcumin with piperine, and epicacethin with piperine?
In addition, I take the following:
Polygala, fish oil, Tongkat Ali, shoden ashwaghanda, Panamax ginseng, Cordyceps 10:1, coQ-10, Bacopa moneiri, vitamin D, phopshatidylserine
I've been wanting to ask this question for a while, but since I'm not really active on this sub, I didn't. Until now!
In any case, I was under the impression that piperine worked mainly through inhibiting glucuronidation. (I just discovered that it also (mainly?) works through inhibiting CYP450 3A4, but that wasn't mentioned in what I read some years ago.) The wiki page starts with the following sentence:
> Glucuronidation is often involved in drug metabolism of substances such as drugs, pollutants, bilirubin, androgens, estrogens, mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids, fatty acid derivatives, retinoids, and bile acids.
This made me wonder: could inhibiting glucuronidation do any harm? It exists for a reason, after all, and one of those reasons seems to be to remove toxins from the body.
Searching for similar topics on this sub I came across this five-year-old thread. It mentions a paper that says the following:
> In addition, the formulation acts by inhibiting the glucuronidation, which may cause serious health risks, as glucuronidation is protective against many toxins and involved in the metabolism of commonly used drugs.
So more specifically: could ingesting piperine together with food, or perhaps before walking through a polluted town, do any harm?
Hello, I am planning to place an order with the mindnutrition UK, and I ve just stumbled across their 5-HTP supplement:
https://mindnutrition.com/5-htp-capsules-100mg-green-tea-extract-piperine
Has anyone tried it yet?
Thanks!
Can't find anything specific on the world wide web so I thought I would ask here. Anyone ever take these two together? Specifically the ND brand of piperine/curcumin(1000mg).
Hello, I know this will seem like a beyond amature question, but I couldnt find an answer, maybe it's just blantenly obvious and I'm just not seeing it. Regaurdless, i am attempting a piperine extraction from black peppercorns, yet every extraction I see taking place uses Absolute (100%) ethanol. I HEARD you could also use 100% isopropanol, my question is, will iso, or even methanol (i have a good supply of 100% methanol) work in place of the ethanol for this extraction?
Wanted to order the new epicatechin capsules with the piperine included.
I realize piperine allows things to be absorbed better. I've also been led to believe (perhaps correct or incorrect) that piperine can also allow your body to asborb more things you don't want it to absorb or various toxins that would otherwise pass through the digestive tract.
So my question is, is there any truth to that? Sure I could go down a rabbit hole but figured I'd ask the question here and somebody smarter than me can likely chime in with an answer.
I will be using it as part of a fitness stack to aid with muscle repair/growth. Thanks in advance for any advice offered here.
Any update on when it will be possible to buy it from ND? Thanks in advance !
Well, as of writing this, I am currently making the Piperidine, but ill make another post for that since I don't want to mix everything.
I am posting stuff like this, since apperantly a lot of you guys like this kinda stuff and find it quite interesting! I am glad! I will make more! thank you for the support and feedback! it makes my week!
What we have here, is a brown liquid (first one) that is 96% Ethanol, containing a lot of Piperine (the thing in black pepper that makes it spicy).
Piperine is soluble in Ethanol, but very insoluble in water.
So when I add the water, you can see a white precipitate start coming out.
And the way it happens is just beautiful in my opinion.

Fun fact, I have a pepper spray, and have tested it many times by spraying on a piece of paper, then touching it with my finger and touching my tongue/mouth. Just for the fun. To see how spicy it is.
Piperine is about twice longer lasting and more intense in burning than capsaicin(pepper spray).
I didn't expect that.

I had a previous post where I showed my reagents, ready to be used to make PCP.
The small vial that has a yellow solid is the Piperine.
After it crashes out of solution, you let it stand at a cold place for a day, and from that milky solution you see at the very end of the video, where it is like milk, you get this, a cotton like precipitate that has settled to the bottom, and is ready to be filtered to be collected.

If so, how? (e.g. inhibition of CYP P450 enzymes, lowering stomach acids or ph, etc)
*edit: im referring to piperine increasing chemical bioavailability, & over all absorption- (for example, Piperine allows the body to properly absorb the Curcumin found in Turmeric)
