How does this Silver-nitrate with bromine salts photographic emulsion work?

Procedure/reagents I am a second year chemistry student (just finished Organic 1), who is trying to make and take some photos. Based off of the research that I've done it looks like the proposed method is acceptable. That being said I would love some insight into how photosensitive reactions work, and I would be very grateful if someone could confirm that this method would create the desired product.

Cardano Bullet Points

Various people ask me about Cardano, so here are some distilled bullet points. In spite of all these points, one shouldn't assume anything about its future market value. Extrapolate at your own peril.

Scientific, Peer-Reviewed

  • Not published in any journal considered "peer-reviewed" by academic standards
  • One article about Ouroboros published in a computer science periodical
  • Having your own engineers review your work/papers is not considered "academic peer-review"
  • Periodicals are not considered peer-reviewed journals

Deadalus wallet

  • Poorly designed wallet technology
  • Always stores the entire ledger (can't store a window of blocks)
  • User must stay in sync at all times to make transactions without delay
  • Alternative is a "centralized" proxy wallet to a Deadalus wallet

Technology General

  • Few developers want to develop in Haskell outside school, it's a pure functional language for type theory geeks
  • Devs want easy and reliable tooling that's easy to understand; Cardano doesn't deliver that
  • Good investor reputation only due to being marketed as "scientific"
  • Bad reputation in tech. communities
  • Ask an experienced distributed systems engineer about Cardano or look at the trail of discussions on YCombinator
  • Too much emphasis on appealing to "geek culture"
  • The "Big Bang Theory" of cryptocurrencies

Consensus

  • Nakamoto style racy A/P consensus with weak-consistency, i.e., "forkable-strings"
  • Sacrifices consistency for availability
  • Double spends possible, especially if there is a network partition
  • Sharding is easy in this design, but further increases the consistency/availability tradeoff
  • Validators are known in advance and can be systematically disrupted (no forward secrecy)

Stake Delegation

  • Delegated proof of stake clusters consensus into centroids of validator "staking pools"
  • See above point about systematic disruption

Leadership

  • Charles is not a mathematician. He has one published paper ... on the topic of "photographic silver emulsion"... from 2009 ... where he is the co-author.
  • Very opinionated and unprofessional social-media presence
  • More info can be found in his early post on the bitcointalk forums
  • Machiavellian behavior; appearance of virtue more important over actual virtue

Marketing and Roadmaps

  • Unimpressive and negligible status updates written like big achievements
  • "We reached 20 million transactions in the last X years with 0 downtime"
  • Other blockchains do this i

I want to get into film photography, but I am overwhelmed.

I have been wanting to get into analog photography for a while, but I guess I got distracted and I felt like it will be too expensive and I won't know how to take care of the camera and such.

Here is where I am right now; I now know from watching Thomas Haeton on YT and looking at my favorite artist and (photographer) Phil Elverum that I would like to take photos with lots of color clarity and range but low contrast and saturation. I would also like to double expose some images and to do some emulsion lifting in the future. I looked up Phil's set up and turns out he shoots with a Mercury II half frame and sometimes he shoots with expired film as well.

looking the camera up, I found that it's a 1945 camera; which 1945 was a long time ago (super cool), but at the same time, the rational part of me thought about how if I were to buy the camera, it probably has lots of problems and flaws due to age and the eBay selllers not knowing how to care of it. I also thought to myself that maybe I actually won't be able to use it and I won't know where to look for instructions on how to use it.

I looked up some darkrooms here and I found two close-ish to me. I was thinking maybe I can develop B&W pics at home by buying the devices required and by using the coffee technique. However, for colors I definitely will have to go in person to the darkrooms and I will ask them to teach me (if they can, hopfully they can) as well as watching YT videos about it and do everything myself.

Knowing all of this, what/where would you personally recommend to start with/at?

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Just because it's a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke

Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB

Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"

I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual

So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes

r/unclejokes for dirty jokes

r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC

r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes

Punchline !

Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub

The History of Milky Way Photography

TL;DR (question):

Who took the first colour photograph of the milky way? How old is this photograph, and did it bring about any revelations? I know that the milky way's colour is essentially invisible to the naked eye, so was the first colour photograph a breakthrough in the scientific world?

Research:

I've been photographing objects in the night sky such as the milky way, the moon, and the LMC (here are some of my images). While I can't say I have great skill, I'm intrigued and impassioned by the practice.

Recently I started thinking about the history of this hobby. I know that "amateur" astrophotography has been around for hundreds of years, but I never considered the evolution of its science, technology, and images. I did a quick bit of research, and I found these:

Timelines:

Documents:

Images (primary sources)

Further reading:

In none of these sources did I find a definitive first photograph or a first colour photograph of the milky way*.* This left me scratching my head - After all, someone has to be credited with both
