Like the warm glow of incandescent Christmas bulbs but hate constantly replacing them? Add some margin! Had an old variac (variable transformer) in the basement and dropped down the voltage to the lights by 30%. Still has a nice glow and hopefully I won't have to change another bulb this year.

Can a super-efficient incandescent light-bulb be created by coating it with infra and UV reflective coating, that lets out only visible light.
The idea is that IR and UV is reflected back on the filament, so only useful light can escape.

This Mundinger chromatic acoustic accordion has internal speakers. In this photo above the shoulder strap bracket is the funky knob that I'm assuming a power cable or some such would connect. It looks a lot like the part of an incandescent light bulb that would screw into a lamp-minus the threads.
