A list of puns related to "Petronella"
Hi! I'm so stressed out but I decided to be brave. Introducing my first fanart of Ikenfell: Maritte and Petronella <3 I hope you like it!

By PETRONELLA WYATT
Excerpt from this article: βNetflix has hired me as a consultant on a documentary about Ghislaine Maxwell. I must be one of the few people who do not regard her as having the vices of Lady Macbeth, Countess BΓ‘thory and Madame Claude combined. She could be curiously tin-eared, once inviting a happily married friend of mine to meet Bill Clinton in a hotel suite. Needless to say, my friend declined. Back in the 1990s, I used to see teenage girls with eyes the colour of Verveine at some of the extravagant parties I was invited to. Looking back, I have a fair idea of why they were there. But it never occurred to me to ask their ages or protest their presence. Was I complicit?β
So apparently everyone agrees that Nel's pronouns are they/them exclusively, however in one flashback (with Safina and Rook in the library where Saf begins to exclude Nel from the group) she refers to Nel as "she". Was that a mistake by the writers, or does Petronella actually use she/they. They aren't referred to as "she" anywhere else in the game AFAIK. It could also be that they changed their pronouns in the time between the flashback and the current game. Was there ever an explanation for that bit?
I'm looking for a second opinion here!
I have a brickwall that's stood firm for a decade. Recently I've tried to loosen it up with using DNA with limited success.
Name: Nelly/Neeltje/Elinor/Eleanor Davenport
Birth: about 1781 (an unverified family memoir puts it on 13 April 1781)
Birthplace: New York (son's 1850 census places it on Long Island)
Marraige: About 1802 (the same unverified family memoir puts it on 25 Apri 1802 in Marbletown, Ulster Co, NY)
Husband: Charles VanSise
Children:
Death: 5 September 1834 (according to the unverified family memoir) Death Place: Erie County, PA
I think I've connected her to parents but I want a second opinion. I don't have anything concrete yet - it's all circumstantial. The only thing I do have are some DNA connections to a couple of descendants of Jacobus Davenport of Marbletown, Ulster Co, NY born 1741 through two of his sons. I was scrolling through Marbletown's Dutch Church records looking for anything and came across a marriage record for a Hester Davenport to a Benjamin Wood in 25 January 1798. The names caught my eye, mnostly because Elinor's oldest child is named Benjamin Wood and a lot of family researchers speculated for a long time that Elinor's last name might be Wood. Looking into Hester I found a Baptismal record for her in 1776 in Rochester, Ulster Co, NY that names her parents Jacobus Davenport and Rachel Hardenberg. The same Jacobus Davenport whom I have multiple DNA connections to multiple of his children. Continuing to flip through the Rochester baptismal records turned up a number of children of Jacobus - including a Petronella born in 1780. I believe that Petronella is actually Nelly/Elinor.
Supporting my theory is that aside from B.W., Elinor's second son is name James - which is the anglicized version of Jacobus. Jacobus Davenport and his son, Jacobus Jr., both went by James in some recods. And also her youngest daughter is recorded to be Rachel (though I believe she may have gone by Nancy). So aside from having a child named after Petronella's brother-in-law, Elinor also has children that share the names of Petronella's parents. Petronella was baptized in the same area that Elinor's son is 25 years later, and is around the corner fro
