A list of puns related to "Palmetto"
My wife and I decided to go shooting at PSAs indoor range today since itβs so cold out. I took my form 1 suppressor, p226 and 9mm SBR (also form1) for hosts, among other guns.
After shooting for a bit I pull out the can, mount it on my p226, shoot a mag, wife shoots a mag and then the range worker came in and asked for my tax stamp. I told him I didnβt have it with me as itβs at the bank in my safe deposit box. He then asked us to leave. I told him I have a pdf on my phone I can pull up from google drive but he says no, it has to be the original physical form with the stamp, no exception. He then goes on to explain that they could loose their FFL if an ATF agent came in, though I fail to see the logic there. The user would be the offender, not the ffl holder.
I have to say, I wasnβt mad but Iβm incredibly disappointed. I never carry a copy of approved form because there is no legal requirement to do so. The can is legal in every way, as is the sbr. Why be bootlickers and enforce non existent regulations?
The other issue is they they, along with two other NFA items are all eform form1s. There is no physical stamp. Even if I had a copy with me they likely wouldnβt have accepted it.
I thought I'd post a separate update, considering how much attention this post has received and how far it spread across the internet. I never expected a post on /r/NFA to go so far. I expected, a most, a dozen or so comments and that my message I sent to Chad on facebook might get a response and confirmation that my experience was a mistake.
Chad Wiley reached back out to me on Facebook and Josiah and Jamin, the owner, have both posted over on AR15.com. They have all insisted that my experience should never have happened, that there is no such policy in place, and that as best they can tell, the RSOs picked up bad info from an NRA instructor. Below is from Chad.
>I guess there was a period when a few RO's took an NRA course and that's what the NRA taught at the time. This is NOT written company policy. It was dealt with across the company this AM.
Jamin posted the below on AR15.com
>We are the biggest supporters of the 2nd amendment in the country. We have dedicated our lives to preserving the personal freedoms of Americans. If you ever have an issue reach out to us directly. We have 1700 employees and we canβt control what all of them say or do. They are imperfect people just like us. However, we love them as employees and couldnβt do what we do without them, just like we love our customers.
and
>I looked into this also, apparently an NRA instructor put this out at an RSO class we sent some RSOs to. It is not a company policy. We are getting with our RSO today to make sure they understand that.
I have seen many others comments that they have had similar experiences at several PSA stores. Hopefully PSA management has really hammered the point home and it will no longer be an issue for anyone going forward. I do appreciate PSA as a company, not for what they've done for the industry, their retail stores have been a blessing for gun owners in SC, where they force all the others to improve or die.
Also, thank you everyone who reached out in private chats and comments. I think about a dozen or so people must have let me know they were contacting owners and managers on my behalf.

Richard Alexander "Alex" Murdaugh embezzled from deaf quadriplegic in 2011 and suspended attorney Cory Fleming, Russell Laffitte of Palmetto State Bank were co-conspirators.
The law offices of Moss, Kuhn, and Suspended Fleming in Beaufort, SC is a crime scene and needs to be shut down.
It's time for attorney Bamberg to go after the assets of Moss, Kuhn, and Suspended Fleming.

Iβm getting close to my 2 week doom period and Iβm living in fear at this point (it gets to a point of constant SI for me).
Found some interesting research I wanted to share/ see if anyone knew anything about-
So 5a reductase inhibitors can prevent a luteal phase increase in allopreganolone - weβre talking drugs like dutasteride (a cousin of finasteride/propecia that blocks 5a reductase I AND II) and saw palmetto.
It was also done in a few case studies here. Also mentions PMDD w/ Comorbid PCOS for my homies cursed like me.
Has anyone tried dutasteride or saw palmetto?
Iβm going to plan on trying saw palmetto if I canβt find contra indications for chronic illnesses - so far I havent found downsides to saw palmetto (& seems to be good for pcos too which is a win for me).
Praying for a miracle ~
Going to hike the palmetto trail in March , I'll be starting from the Columbia passage and working my way up to the Ross Mountain passage. Can anyone give me any pointers on the hike, what to expect and what are some important items to bring that will be a life saver. I will be staying in the woods the whole time. I plan on making it a 30 day survival challenge so I will only eat what fish I catch or creature I kill with a sling shot only food I will bring is dehydrated noodles with veggies in it . and a camel pack with 3 liters of water plus a water filter.
Thank you
Does anyone know if PSA will ship complete uppers or even build kits to NY? Tried contacting them but no response whatsoever :(
(disclaimer, I don't live in the city)
Heres the Link to the sale
Couple of decent Rugers going for under $300 also. Definitely worth a look
If you've done any research on the titular "cafe," you know what I'm talking about.
This was about six weeks ago now, I came out of therapy and wanted to go somewhere new, so I saw Palmetto Nutrition on Google and it looked decent so I tried it. There entire menu is split into meal replacement shakes, that are advertised as having under 300 calories and a bunch of different vitamins and protein and stuff in them, as well as specialty sweet teas that have a whole bunch of different flavors and look really pretty for Instagram and whatever.
The woman at the counter, who was extremely nice and I have absolutely no personal problems with, recommended to get a shake and a tea, which ended up being $18, which is absolutely ridiculous but I didn't feel like going elsewhere. I kind of knew that with the shakes being <300 calories it was gonna be kinda sketchy, since Smoothie King's MR smoothies are like 1000 calories, so I definitely expected to end up eating either a future carcinogen or a mouthful of protein powder.
The shake was exactly as I expected for 300 calories. I got some kind of cheesecake flavor and somewhat unsurprisingly there were no actual cheesecake elements, but again it's 300 calories. The only things I saw her put in the cup were ice, milk, some weird combination protein powder that I think was also the entirety of the flavoring, and whipped cream and crushed graham crackers on top. There was also a thickening agent that might have been like frozen yogurt or something, but I don't remember exactly what it was. The best way I can describe the shake is like a diet soda. You know how you drink a soda and it tastes like a soda? But then you drink a diet soda and it's not the same and has that weird aftertaste and flavoring? Yeah it's a milkshake's diet brother.
But now we get to the tea. That was the nastiest beverage I have ever had the misfortune of putting my lips up to. I would rather piss into one of those 32oz cups and drink that than have to drink that tea again. I was tempted to bring it home and force my family to taste that shite, but took two sips and decided that it belonged rightfully in the trash. I don't even remember what flavor I got, but to me it just tasted like a mixture of laundry detergent, battery acid, and Febreze, not that I've ever tasted any of those. This was a story I would tell for the next few days to anyone who would listen, about the horrible mess that was a Palmetto Nutrition tea.
I didn't really think an
... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm going to be hiking the Palmetto Trail in a couple weeks and need some advice on how to find the best detailed maps on the whole trail , the website https://palmettoconservation.org/palmetto-trail/ maps aren't very detailed , I have Alltrails and Avenza trail on my phone. From my understanding a good portion of the trail is unfinished and I'll be hiking alone and the last thing I want to do is get lost cause of an unfinished trail.
Update - I went to the Palmetto Trail stayed at the second campsite located around 5.2 miles from the peak passage entrance. Will be going back to walk the Peak to Newberry passage when weather is better , Alltrails and Avenza gps worked great , I thanks for the advice everyone!
I work with a nutritionist and through her I finally figured out that my worsening acne is due to PCOS. (Of course the diagnosis also involved some blood tests and consulting with my GP and an endocrinologist.) My nutritionist has me on some supplements already, namely a targeted multi-vit, Omega 3s, probiotic, vitamin D, and myo-inositol. I recently had a 7-week stint on Spironolactone and as such she wasn't putting me on anything specifically anti-androgenic, but she had proposed Saw Palmetto and Reishi Mushroom supplements in the event that spiro didn't work out for me. (It didn't - spiro made me too tired!)
I'll be speaking with her again in the coming weeks and I know we'll be discussing Saw Palmetto and Reishi again. In the meantime I'm wondering what experience people have had of either/both of these supplements? My main symptom I'm looking to treat is acne, and a little bit of unwanted facial hair.
tl;dr: My nutritionist has proposed saw palmetto and reishi mushroom supplements for androgen blockers to treat acne, thoughts?
We just drove by, very thick smoke in the area. Anybody know what is going on?
