I don't know about the rest of ya'll, but the strike exclusive Flayer Mantles from D1 were one of my favorite mini grinds in that game, and I didn't even run my Hunter that much! Just destroying those little turd triplets for hours on end with my buddies was a great time because when someone got a mantle they didn't have we all freaked out. Or when someone got their third void mantle but didn't have the other two we laughed our asses off.

I would love to see more strike (or other activities) exclusive loot work the same way. Maybe in the Broodhold strike where Anânh's forms drop something? Or the two spider tanks from the heroic public event each have a chance at dropping a different weapon? The first could drop some weak-ass rocket launcher but the second drops an item you could use to upgrade it into what becomes a pseudo scorch cannon?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that more activity exclusive loot, especially with multiple variants or stages, would such a nice addition. I know we have a lot of things already, but trickling in more would always be welcome in my book...

I am kinda new to python. For university I have an assignment to build a function plotter.
At the current state I have a configuration file with the parameters "f", which contains a string, example given "-x^2*sin(x)" and others like "start", "end", "step" of the plot.

Now I want to be able to plot the function with using matplotlib, so I will need a function, which translates the mathematical functions in the string to the plotable values or something similar.

I feel like I could lose a lot of time If I try this the wrong way.

Does anybody have some ideas or cool libaries, which can help with that?

According to the assignment, the program doesn't have to be able to detect every function,
but I guess the more the merrier.

For now I would build a big "if"-tree checking for every possible combination, but I feel like this could be easier.

Hello,

I bought a bass for cheap and fixed most of the issues with it myself, but the part that is the only issue left is really hard to find.

This controls the bass and treble boost/cut and feeds into a 2 band EQ circuit that is just plugged in.

I'm wondering if I can take off the three wires leading into the potentiometer and solder them on into a stacked potentiometer so I wouldn't have to find a specific piece.

I was never given an option to choose, I just opened it one day last week and only my timeline was affected by the new (horrible) design.
There seems to be no option to switch back and don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be so mad about it, if it weren't for the unbelievably stupid glitches it brought in:
- I am NO LONGER able to "skip cropping" when I pick a new profile pic, the option itself has vanished, which makes for picking an incredibly ugly pixelated low quality fragment out of a whole picture
-The button to change my cover photo simply does NOT respond. I press on it but nothing happens.

So WHY, oh why does FB insist on making changes that don't even work properly, let alone look ugly and bulky?
I hate that tendency to bring tablet/mobile layout to desktop - nobody needs huge buttons!

So, let's take my example (ESTP). I have Se as dominant, Ti as auxiliary, Fe as tertiary and Ni as inferior.

Se Ti Fe Ni.

So say you found a very efficient manager at a bank or someplace and you thought him to be an ESTJ. Eff, you only know the basic knowledge of functions and can't recall functions of a particular type with ease. But you do know that an ESTP has Se Ti Fe Ni. And if you were to switch the last letter (estP to estJ), the first pair of functions would switch places with each other. And so will the second pair. It'll become Te Si Ne Fi.

Now let's assume at college, you found a person marshalling people for conga (an ESFP). If you were to switch the third letter (esTp to esFp), the second function will become the third. (with a shift in direction). It'll become Se Fi Te Ni.

>Note that the shift in direction means if a function is introverted, it becomes extroverted.

Oh, don't even forget the best debater you met during a debate competition in your school (an ENTP). If you were to switch the second letter (eStp to eNtp), the first function will become the fourth (with a shift in direction). It'll become Ne Ti Fe Si.

I am building a ETL application that takes data from a 3rd party app, upon submission in that app a webhook fires off JSON data.

My current structure is:

1. data from 3rd party app fires off via webhook
2. Zapier catches that
3. Zapier parses the SAME data into 3, s3 buckets
4. 3 Lambda functions using 3, s3 buckets with the same data do different operations. Lamda operations reading files.

What is best way to having the 3 lambda functions read the data from the same source?

I want to optimize for two goals, simultaneously, A and B. I want A to be as large as possible and I want |B| to be as small as possible (as close to zero as possible). At first, I don't know how much to trade off A against B, i.e. one unit of improvement in A is as good as one unit of improvement in B. But after I run some training experiments, I might want to weight A more than B, or vice-versa. What are some good ways to combine these two goals into a loss function? I can think of A-|B| or (1/2)( A^2 - B^2 ) but I'm not sure how to set up a "tradeoff parameter" (or whatever the correct term is for this) between these two goals. Any help is appreciated. (This is for a side-project, not a H/W problem.)

Basically, have a custom VPC with 3 private subnets.

created a dbsubnet group with the private subnets.

configured RDS to use the dbsubnet group.

security group of rds database is say sg_db.

private ip address of ec2 instance is say private_ip_1

security group of ec2 instance is sg_app_server_1

two ways to restrict access from ec2 box are,

adding inbound access in sg_db to port 3306, from private_ip_1

adding inbound access in sg_db to port 3306, from sg_app_server_1

And since Lambda function by default does not launch within a VPC, I have configured it to use the VPC and the private subnets to launch, and then associated with a security group sg_lambda_1

and then I have added the inbound rule in sg_db to allow access to port 3306 from sg_lambda_1.

Is there a more secure way of doing this, or am I right here.

additionally, say I don't want the Lambda to launch in VPC, so the start times of the lambda would be less. in that case, how do we allows the access to the private rds db from a public lambda function.

And is there a way to do this using IAM policies? and not security groups.
