A list of puns related to "Olly Olly Oxen Free"
When things get hard for INC to recruit six souls (from what I hear, they're shitting bricks), they will turn to exINC members. Why? If they could only convince us back, it will be like, wearing their egos and false pride like heaven.
Because we are the ultimate trophy.
As stereotypical as it may be for children's games and whatnot, I don't think I have ever yelled this out loud or heard someone else do it. Have y'all actually ever said this?
So I managed to resist crafting SETA for quite a while I think. Have several factories, a wharf and a shipyard. Now I'm trying to find the singularity engine. I've been circling a Khaak installation and can't find a single enemy ship. Even reloaded saves there a couple times. Any suggestions?
EDIT: This post on Egosoft, specifically the reply from user Imperial Good, has great info. Got one in minutes. https://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=419876
Does anybody remember where the term Olly Olly Oxen Free came from. Used it as a child and itβs imprinted in my brain but have no idea where it came from.
Iβm looking for a song that has βolly olly oxen freeβ as a portion of the lyrics. I think the phrase was at the end of a line and it was sung pretty quickly. The song wasnβt called olly olly oxen free. Google seems to have no idea what I was talking about but I would appreciate some help from here! I donβt know the melody; those lyrics are the only ones I remember.
Edit: I believe it was sung by a male singer, and it was a sort of pop song.
Can someone tell me why I remember the phrase βOlly olly oxen freeβ but have no idea where it came from. Iβve asked all of my friends and everyone remembers the saying but doesnβt know where it came from. I can remember it being something i learned in elementary school.
Turns out all we got at Warhammer Fest was a flaming bull. WHo's it for, when's it out? Who knows! What we do know however, is that this is the place for all your Age of Sigmar questions! New or veteran, anything you want to ask will be answered in this thread.
Please do not give me a google search answer - I already googled it and still don't understand because the context I usually hear it in doesn't add up. I've heard it being used as a compliment and also an adjective.
For example: "I'm olly olly oxen free" (Referring to how much they've achieved or a high status)
As we all scattered, giggling, from the kid who was counting, a girl I didn't know grabbed my hand.
"C'mon," she said, "I know the best hiding place, they'll never find you."
She led me to a shadowy, muddy little niche under the overhang of a water pipe. "This is great!" I told her. "Thanks!"
"They'll never find you," she repeated, a little sadly. "After all, they never found me."
"Huh?" I turned to look at her, but she wasn't there any more.
There was something sticking out of the mud, like a little old dried twig. Only it had a ring on it. I wish I hadn't tried digging.
Just wait until you get the permanent super flame at Dragon Shores (collect all gems and orbs) then go back and use it to collect the trophies (I wasnt able to get the Gulp one and didnt know you could just use the super flame to take all his health at the start of the fight, same with shooting the ox from across the ice rink)
This would be in the nineties or early 2000's
I remember watching this on TV and it was scary for a kid
There was like a bad guy an alien maybe in human form and the way he delivered that line was just so creepy that its stuck with me for over a decade closing in on two...
Anyone remember this? Or seen this scene?
