Norman Borlaug as a flair option

Few can claim to having improved the global quality of life more than Norman Borlaug

His contributions to agricultural science enabled billions of humans to avoid food scarcity and escape the trap of subsidence farming. Without him the third world would be even farther behind.

From a quick search it seems that this hasn't been brought up yet so I thought to ask.

"Possibly the most evil individual of the 20th century is not Hitler, Mao, or Stalin, but Norman Borlaug, the so-called Father of the Green Revolution, who is credited with saving one billion Africans from dying of starvation."

You've outdone yourself, Vox. First, there was not one, but TWO posts saying that blacks are more destructive than nuclear weapons. And now, this--

>Helping Africa is one of the very worst things any Western individual can do. Possibly the most evil individual of the 20th century is not Hitler, Mao, or Stalin, but Norman Borlaug, the so-called Father of the Green Revolution, who is credited with saving one billion Africans from dying of starvation.

>Guess what the consequence of that particular piece of idiocy is going to be? Borlaugh's Nobel Peace Prize will eventually come to be seen as far more ironic than Barack Obama's.

>In 1971, the population of Nigeria was 51 million. Thanks to Borlaug, it is estimated that the population of Nigeria will be 400 million. The UN estimates that it will be the world's third-most populous country, behind China and India.

>With the highest rate of population growth, Africa is expected to account for more than half of the world’s population growth between 2015 and 2050. During this period, the populations of 28 African countries are projected to more than double, and by 2100, ten African countries are projected to have increased by at least a factor of five: Angola, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Somalia, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania and Zambia.

>My expectation is that considerably more than one billion people are going to die as a direct result of the do-gooders interventions in Africa. And not all of them are going to be Africans either.

USS Norman Borlaug, A Crossfield class SciTorp Experiment.

Here is my first crack at a scihax / torp boat on my Crossfield Science Vanguard. I didnt really know what I was doing, but managed to put together a working ship by doing a bunch of lurking in the subreddit. I have several questions I would like to submit for the experts consideration. 1. Is a balanced skill tree ideal for this type of science build? It seems like many of the points spent in the tac tree are wasted, and it seems as though none of the ultimates would be super beneficial to a scitorp build. 2. Should I drop the AMACO gear in favor of a re-engineered bajoran deflector and either 3-pc temporal, or 2-pc Temporal and optimal shield (Ico maybe?). Is the extra EPG going to be more beneficial than the extra torp damage? 3. Is an Exotic Particle Field Exciter (EPG) a must have for me at this point, or is this more of a wish list item? 4. I have been experimenting with swapping the delta 3 pc for the Terran 3 pc, and am unsure which is better.. The isokinetic cannon hits like a truck, but triggering the Terran 3 pc and the DOMINO together is frankly disgusting. 5. Am I on the wrong track with this ship? The torp thing seems to be working pretty well on this boat, but the lack of a command seat is definetly not ideal.. Is there a better direction to take this thing in? Any other problems you see, please let me know, and as always, your input is greatly appreciated.
