A list of puns related to "Nicklaus"
Flew over this beaut off the coast of Vancouver Island from on a float plane ride to work and decided to look it up.
Bought by Billionaire Craig McCaw in 1994 and course designed by Jack Nicklaus, sounds like there's a plan to develop it into a private community for super rich, but for last 20+ years it's basically been this guy's private course for him and his pals. Has an airplane strip and a few cabins on the island.

Was watching PNC. A segment with Nicklaus explaining his swing: Neutral/weakish grip Set feet left of target Aim club at target Swing away
I am guessing this is power fade?
I tried it today anf the results were great. Hit almost all drives on fairway. Got some baby draws and fades. Straight shots. Only one hook and one bad slice.
Can't wait to keep trying it.
Anyone else try this?
A 2015 article said it was losing about $200,000 a year. I can't imagine that improved any the last couple of years with the losses just piling up. It is currently only open 5 hours a day, three days a week and seemingly attracts dozens and dozens of visitors if that many. It's funded by the Athletic Department which apparently doesn't mind absorbing the financial drain. It seems out of place on an academic institution and is an embarrassment to the University in my opinion. I heard Muirfield didn't want it. When it inevitably goes under, I'm not sure what else the building could be used for other than some Athletic department offices.
The putt that Nicklaus conceded was a gimmie. The concession was meaningless and everyone acting like Nicklaus did some amazing act of sportsmanship is the epitome of phony
So, I just found a copy of this at Goodwill for $3 and before I sit down with it, I was wondering what you all thought of it? Did you learn anything that really helped (or the opposite)? Anything that you disagreed with? Any advice you got from it you still use today? Thanks for sharing!
