Do noun genders stay constant in languages descended from latin?

Romance languages like spanish and italian have noun-genders and are descended from (vulgar) latin which also had gender. If a word in french has a certain gender, is that gender gonna be the same as the latin ancestor of the word?

Will Rei and Kouta "eventually notice" that magic/sorcery incantations are basically IRL Latin language, and maybe contribute to sorcery research for Restoration?

They were from the "language club" on their IRL school afterall.

Along with Celia and Rio, they could estabilish a "Guild" using some "earthling" name (like with the products on Ricca Guild). Where the patent for all the invented sorcery, magic, tools and "Ancient Artifacts" on Rio's possession (and of spirit-folk origin) would be "scapegoated" on (with spirit-folk elders consent, of course).

They would become the literal Weasley Twins with that sorcery shop of theirs.

Rui was also from language club, but that "translation sorcery" from his Divine Arms could prob be conveying those Latin words the sorcerers are uttering as japanese/english/"strahlian" for his brain.

I mean, we are yet to confirm if "Non-hero Summoned Otherworlders" such Miharu can directly imbue magic formulae on their bodies. But it's guaranteed they can still manage sorcery artifacts.

We should bring back Latin, since it's a dead language now. So many languages' structures and words are based on Latin structures/words, and we could just come up with new words for things that have been created since the language died.

How did Latin split into all the romance languages and when did the speakers of these new languages realize?

I want to know why did Latin turn into the many different Romance languages that are still around today considering all the nations in Europe communicated with each other a lot? And also, I want to know when did the speakers realize that other countries weren't speaking the same language anymore and that Latin was the original?
