In statecraft, one nation should NEVER give another nation total access to its information. So why did the U.S. give Israel (via Narus and Verint) the go-ahead to tap its entire telecommunications grid?
I'm an American, so this concerns me. I read The Shadow Factory by James Bamford (the official historian of the NSA) and it details in black and white how our national security has been compromised by the intelligence networks of a foreign nation. This is WRONG, it's UN-AMERICAN, and it potentially compromises Congress and the Presidency. If you recall, Ken Starr received the Clinton sex tapes from Israeli intelligence that had been tapping the White House. We should be protecting America better than this. Why did our leaders cede our privacy to another nation with different motives, different goals and a different identity than us?

I'm pretty sure that these guys make the deep packet inspection technology that governments like Egypt and China use. I found it interesting that they had details on their website that shows how it works.
