A list of puns related to "Marc Kielburger"
The list of accusations to WE Charity is long and there are about 50 different articles on Canadaland summarizing every single case of the alleged crime or corruption.
But it all started rather innocently as a humitarian project of a child prodigy...
Craig Kielburger was celebrated and traveled all over the world for a political cause. Even younger then Greta Thunberg at the beginning of his career, he was just 13 when he started campaigning for childrens rights. Everyone was intrigued by a small.boy showing them an ugly truth: Child labor still exists and the West benefits from it. He influenced Canadian Government policy, testified to US congressional committees, appeared regularly on TV. His goal was abolishing child labour.
Craig was allegedly inspired to take up his cause by another famous child campaigner from the other side of the world β Iqbal Masih. At the age of 12 Craig read an article about Iqbal Masih. The article talked about Iqubals life, how at the age of four he was sold into bondage to work as a carpet weaver, how he worked 12 hours a day, six days a week. And how he was murdered after protesting against working conditions.
Craig told that story a million times. In his early speeches his outrage, disgust and shock about this ugly truth is believable. " I always thought, well, slavery, bonded labour, itβs something out of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries β itβs been abolished, it no longer exists.β
And he requests from adults, institutions and politicians to take the issue of child labor more seriously.
βThe single biggest problem weβve had is adults who will not take us seriously, who think that because we are young we will oversimplify the issue of child labour and not do our research. Many of our members are as young as nine or ten years old but we do our research as well as take action.β
Wanting to go beyond declarations, Craig, alongside his teenaged brother Marc, founded a charity" Free the Children" in 1995 ( later rebranded in WE Charity in 2016) An international network to eradicate child labour. The charity is well known in Canada and England offering a free school curriculum and volunteer programs to developing countries. There was even a broadcasted WE Day on Canadian television. But before it got a big company the group advocates against child labor.
One of the groupβs first activities was starting a petition to free another labour activist imprisoned in India, obtaining about 3,000 signatures.

Marc and Craig Kielburger's WE Charity routinely misled school-aged children and wealthy philanthropists across North America for years as it solicited millions for schoolhouses in Kenya in its Adopt-A-Village program, an investigation by CBC's The Fifth Estate has found. WE denies it has misled donors.
Today, Mark Kelley explains what the team found over the course of the investigation, and the obstacles they faced while reporting the story.
You can listen to the episode on the web here.
The WE Charity was founded by Craig Kielburger, the boy who at the time was essentially 1990βs Greta Thunberg. The only difference was that his cause was Child Labour and Slavery rather then Climate Change. His organization grew rapidly, with the young boy even appearing on Oprah to promote his charity. Since then Craig Kielburger and his brother Marc has grown their charity to own a multimillion dollar real estate empire, and wellβ¦lets just say the charity may have gone astray a bitβ¦
>WE has been hailed for its innovative, hybrid approach to philanthropy, blending capitalism and charity, and preaching the philosophy that individuals, including children, can change the world through their consumer choices.
>But some former WE Charity employees tell CANADALAND that WE lost its way as it pursued lucrative contracts with corporate partner after corporate partner, falling short on upholding their foundational values.
>A CANADALAND investigation reveals that WE is connected to no fewer than three companies known to use child and slave labour in their supply chain. In fact, WE logos can be found promoting products made in part by children, including Hersheyβs products that contain cocoa farmed by child labourers in West African countries, and Kelloggβs products that contain palm oil farmed by child labourers in Indonesia. WE also has a large partnership with Unilever, which has been a major purchaser of palm oil produced with child labour.
>WEβs partnerships with these brands involve promoting the message that by purchasing their products, children in impoverished countries will benefit. For example, child-labour-sourced chocolate is presented in stores with the face of a smiling African child, the logo of ME to WE (a WE organization), and a promise that the companies involved βhelp children here and everywhere.β
The WE Charity are not the worst bastards. However there are still important lessons to be taught about happens when you mix charity and capitalism.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
Do your worst!
How the hell am I suppose to know when itβs raining in Sweden?
Mathematical puns makes me number
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
Description:
Craig Kielburger was the Greta Thunberg of the 90s β a 12 year-old kid from the suburbs who dreamed of freeing the worldβs children from slavery. His activism made him famous, and he was endorsed by Oprah, the Pope, the Queen, and the Clintons. His campaign became a global movement and a powerful brand.
But right from the start, there were uncomfortable questions about money and exploitation. Decades later, it all came crashing down. But the seeds of WEβs self-destruction were planted right from the startβ¦
Official responses from WE:
According to the WE Organization: neither the WE Organization nor Marc or Craig Kielburger have ever beenΒ investigatedΒ by a law enforcement agency, currently or in the past.
The WE Organization maintains that all financial transactions between its various entities, both charitable and for-profit, have followed all applicable laws.
In his libel claim against Saturday Night Magazine:Β Craig Kielburger said that the article was false and led people to wrongly believe he was keeping the money for himself. According to a reported statement by a Free the Children accountant, donations made prior to the organization becoming a registered charity were deposited in a separate bank account, and the group was being run as a charity pending Revenue Canadaβs approval of its application.
