A list of puns related to "Maplestory 2"
Attached is photo and video to show it isnβt just βa picture on my switchβ
Figured Iβd update this project with everyone considering the amount of hate I got last time.
First off this is a custom βremote desktop connectionβ from computer to switch that I am personally developing.
ββ
Updated features from the last post:
-Touchscreen works, and since stylusβ work itβs easy menu navigation as well as inventory navigation.
-Supports 1080p now (need strong connection of course)
-Can connect without being on the same network connection given that you write down your public computer ID, as you can manually update the IP in the home brew application now.
-Supports joycons, and now Xbox 360/1 controllers, and PS4 controllers.
ββ
Overall if you have a strong connection it works well and especially with a class like Lara where you just jump and use veins the leveling has been simple with inventory touch improvements.
Currently not something Iβm looking at releasing to the wild as modified Nintendo Switches require soldering and other modifications, however that may change.
Posting update for funsies since apparently it was all fake last time I posted my first beta version :)

I realized in my previous "solicitations" that I was doing this quarterly (kind of, not really), and then 9 months passed. No, we are not dead. Yes, the game is still going on. Yes, this is mostly a copy-paste, but I can't modify the title of my original post >:| so I'm going to make one last post for the foreseeable future and just keep it pinned... so let's keep this "short" and sweet, shall we?
In May of 2020, the world of GMS2 was burned to the ground, in a firey pit of despair and sorrow for players far and wide, never to return or grace us with its sweet embrace again. Shortly after this cataclysm, we had a huge influx of players who wished to continue playing MapleStory 2, despite the choice Nexon made to shut down our precious mushroom game. Many players back then, flocked to the Korean servers, as well as our community discord, in an effort to keep playing the game they enjoyed, and to keep in touch with the community.
If you're seriously interested in continuing to play MapleStory 2, then come join us on the KMS2 discord and see if it's still the right fit for you. If anything, feel free to hang around and chat MS2 with us, or anything else, the more the merrier!
The links below are for our KMS2 Community Server and the KMS2 Get Started / Installation Guide. The guide also has our discord link on the first page, along with information on how to get started in KMS2.

Disclaimer: Korean MapleStory 2 (KMS) is still a Pay 2 Win (p2w) game, compared to GMS2. The game is technically very playable for free; however, many things we had in GMS2 (like lock scrolls, advanced gemstones, dungeon reward extension (KMS2 only), etc.) are behind that paywall. Much of the housing is still a mix between mesos and merets, music is a bit harder to get instruments without grinding (there's no more pack like we had back-in-the-day), and the capsule system is still strong here (cosmetic and functional).
Much of the hardcore p2w aspects of the game have since been changed over the last few years and most likely influenced by our global release changes and improvements, all used to enhance the Quality of Life of KMS2. It's not as bad as it used to be, but it still may not be everyone's cup-o-tea. I want to ensure everyone is aware of these facts before hopping into the game so that their expectation

After the last thread, I put all the ideas posted into one mostly unorganized google doc. I feel most of the ideas are good, aren't just buffs, and the implementation for some wouldn't be too difficult.
It seemed by far the most popular ideas in order were
Since I'm assuming #1 has to deal with Nexon's anti-cheat system, I have two questions.
I feel it'd be worth a shot. Since most of the Maple community plays for the long-term and intends to play for many years, I think even small QoL improvements would really greatly enhance gameplay experience plus save tons of time.
Lately, I've been thinking about this game and looking back at the photos/screenshots from the Steam version, and also discussing it with a lot of other friends. I have also been binge-watching old Maplestory 2 videos released around 2018 to its end in 2020. I even started playing the game again casually with the Korean version even with the latency and language barriers.
But I always have this thought in my head and it goes like "How would like my life to be if global Maplestory 2 was still supported instead of being discontinued?". Now, this took me a lot of thinking and writing down my rough thoughts but here are the things I would do if the global version of the game continues to live.
since ms2 shut down, which mmorpg or any other games do you recommend i add to my collection of very very adorable games. i noticed how a large portion of these are japanese made games, and not western game... Nintendo has a large play in it
here's shortlist of my very very adorable collection, these were all recommended by gamers, i noticed how a large portion of these are japanese made games, and not western game.. Nintendo has a large play in it
you can see these for examples, we're looking at story, but also gameplay images/videos, and environment, and world,

Hi everyone! I'm sure you've seen one of our posts here about 2-3 months back. We are a small team called Heroic Entertainment creating a Maplestory 2 inspired MMORPG called Abyss Tales. Lately, development has been picking back up as we took a small break through New Years. Currently, we are close to releasing a Singeplayer version of our game that you can either play individually or you can host a server using your IP or Hamachi to play with your friends. This is not a complete game by any means as we still have tons and tons of work to do.
We have a discord of 1200+ members and we recently launched our Patreon which supports us and allows us to expand by hiring more 3D modelers, animators, and concept artists. I'll leave a link to our Discord and Patreon in the comments.
I know I've received previous comments about wanting our website, or gameplay. Right now, our website is still under development. It's open to the public, but the only information on the site is about the Dev Team. Gameplay is constantly changing, so after this singleplayer test we will have better footage and images to show to the public.
Thanks everyone! I hope to see some of you the in Discord!
I use to play the NA version back when it released, but after they finally released the PvP only to equalize it making it absurdly imbalanced as a result of EQ I stopped logging in and was just waiting for them to fix it (that and hopefully fix the hairstyle scam) then they closed it down, which is really sad as it was one of the few games that had a skill based combat system. So I want to try and log on another region, but phone and bank companies ruin everything in Korea, just as much as they do in NA. These leeches just refuse to let them selves die and force themselves in areas they don't belong under the guise of being security. So I got a few questions.
Can my NA Nexon account be used for Korean MS2?
Is there a way to download it other than the main site? Or if I knew someone who had it, could they give it to me, does that work?
Hi all! Basically as the title states, are there any MS2 pservers out there?
Hey there y'all, thanks for clicking.
Maplestory 2 released on October 18, 2018 to the western markets, and received very positive reception from players. It was a cute, chibi MMORPG, you could do social things and build houses and make music, but for the more serious meta/dps/hardcore raiders, you would level up, do dungeons, upgrade your gear, and repeat. But as players hit the end of each content patch they soon realized how terrible the system was.

TLDR if you don't want to read huge walls of text: Maplestory 2 and Genshin Impact have some similar fundamental problems, time-gating, and rng-gating. Below are some suggestions to improve the game, and hopefully prevent a slow, bloody decline into obscurity.
Ideas(I'm sure other people have come up with similar ideas):
Increase the resin cap as we level, or increase the resin regen rate, there simply isn't enough resin per day to do everything that you want to do. 1 resin per 5 minutes would be a good start, and with a higher cap, people won't be as pressured to be constantly spending it throughout the day.
Allow for primogem purchases of resin refills, that don't get progressively more expensive, and without limit. Currently at the limit of 6 refills, and a total cost of 800 primogems a day, it is hard to refill and save for wishes at the same time for f2p players. If it was a flat 50 or 100 gems per refill, players would be able to play more at a smaller cost, and whales would be free to grind as much as they want.
Increase primogem and mora rewards: the achievement rewards are laughable, and the mora and exp drops make me just want to run past enemies most of the time. Even other gacha games have better rates, we should be able to summon something at least every 2-3 achievements.
Reduce resin cost of everything: Even halving all the costs would be a good start, weekly boss at 60 and elites at 40 are an incredibly fast drain on resin, especially when you can wipe the floor with them faster and faster.
Allow us to reroll accessories through an item obtainable through questing, like a daily, instead of leveling artifacts trying to find good rolls and wasting mora, it would reduce the mora sink

Hi everyone. I made a post about 4-5 days ago about our Maplestory 2 inspired MMO. Today at 1400 PDT / 2300 GMT +2 is our stress test which we will hold until 10/5 at the same times. The stress test will include running around one of our maps, basic combat with item drops, partying up, guilds, chat functionality, PvP, and maybe a boss or two! So come join us this weekend for the test. Discord link is down below. Hope to see you all there!
I wanna start playing this game cause i like the music aspect, how u can make custom songs and i loved downloading them and playing them on Maplestory 2. Is it worth it getting into this game for only that reason? Especially if i dont like the combat much. Graphics dont bother me too much
I left this game after its first X-Mas and so iβve probably missed out on a lot of new content since. I want to know how active the population is right now as I want to get into raiding on my Knight! >.<
Sorry everyone for my previous post. I was having some difficulty with Reddit. For those of you who haven't seen this post before, we are a small team designing a Maplestory 2 inspired MMO. All of our core mechanics have been implemented including combat, exploration, chat functionality, guilds, and more! The name of our game will be disclosed at a later date so that's why I haven't mentioned it. We have close to 800 members in our Discord. Multiple skill showcases, and small map showcases are available to see in our Discord. We have a stress test being held this weekend that will involve map exploration, combat, PvP, and more! This stress test will be available for all members of our Discord! Hope to see you all there.
Note: We are not affiliated with Maplestory 2 or Nexon in any way, shape, or form.

It's been a few months since I've officially re-advertised our community here; so here's your quarterly solicitation. :)

Back at the closure of GMS2, an Unofficial KMS2 discord was advertised here and on the servers themselves, and we had a ton of people join us and keep playing the game they enjoyed.
