A list of puns related to "Luxottica"
Facebook and Luxottica have been working together on smart glasses for the last few years. While the release was delayed by the geopolitical turmoil of 2021, it is slated for release in 2022. Featuring powerful light field sensors, software, and trendy consumer design - and marketed through Luxottica's worldwide retail channels - the new device is expected to achieve widespread success - and, as the first "fashionable" smart glasses, lead the market.
As always, success does not come alone. This device will also include considerable input from suppliers in Asia and elsewhere in the world. Specifically, companies in Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, and Vietnam will contribute, as will Luxottica of Italy.
M: roll for customer buzz and projected demand
I've tried 4 different pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses and each one has had an annoying creaking/squeaking sound when handling them (I'm assuming this is because of lens slip in the frame sockets, since it's most apparent when I press the frames towards my face whilst wearing them). As such, I was wondering if there is a non-Luxottica brand that has similar styled sunglasses to Ray-Ban frames (in particular, I'm looking for polarized tortoise Wayfarer-esque frames), but with higher build quality and consistency.
Having looked around a little it seems like Maui Jim is often recommended, but I was wondering if there are any other brands that offer Wayfarer type frames. Any help would be great, thanks.
Bought a pair of oo9188-9549 (team colors blue, flak 2.0xl) off ebay, and the hinges just weren't springy like my other flak 2s and I was sad. they didnt fit on my face the same way my others do. Filed a claim with oakley warranty at https://customersupport.luxottica.com/wcsstore/oakley.html and they gave me a shipping label. sent just the frames back and got an entirely new pair complete with box, hard case, lenses, and all that. and this pair is great. thank you Oakley, well worth the $$$!
Anyone know of a spot in Winnipeg where you can buy good quality shades that aren't made/owned by Luxottica?
It's that time, I finally need to get new glasses. My old place is far away so time to find something around here.
I compared them to eyemed. pearle vision etc.
Hi guys. I ordered a pair of 3193s online from Nordstrom and I was bummed to see that one of the temples is warped/twisted and now theyβre out of stock. I think my options are: return and buy a different model, or see if Persol/Luxottica will cover this damage under warranty. Does anyone have experience with this?
I have a pair of Native Eyewear Dash SS sunglasses that are falling apart. I bought these when Native was part of Costa and before Costa was bought by Luxottica. They have a lifetime warranty. I submitted a claim through Luxottica and got a pretty quick response saying my claim is covered, but the model I have is no longer available. Instead, they offered me a few alternatives, but none are remotely similar to the Dash SS I have (Freerider, Wells, Kodiak, or Throttle AF are the options). My options are to click one and hit accept, or hit "decline and close," and they give only 2 days to choose.
Does anyone know what happens if I decline and close and want to choose a different model? Will there be any way to move forward?
Dash SS have 2 sets of interchangeable lenses, and soft nose-guards. They're great for sports. The ones they are offering as replacements do not have interchangeable lenses, and are a very different frame style with hard plastic nose pieces.
P.S. I know Luxottica is terrible and I won't buy their many brands anymore, but as I said Native Eyewear wasn't owned by them when I purchased.
Anyone have trouble with the Oakley after sales portal? The silicone ear socks on my Crosslink arms have degraded to the point of melting. I created an account before and spent time filling out all the information for a warranty replacement, but the form simply would not submit and I could not figure out why. I fill out web forms day in and out at work so I usually know how to get around stubborn forms that are poorly designed, but I simply could not successfully submit it.
I called Oakley customer service and the IVR system insists that you visit the after sales portal on the website. I call again and the only way I could reach a human was to speak to sales, and they are incompetent. Had to speak to a manager who said nothing can be done unless I use the after sales portal.
Some time has passed and I tried visiting again, and now my login doesn't work. I reset my password. I login and then get a message:
>Please meet the password requirements: Minimum 6 characters, must contain at least one number and one letter and a character in the password cannot occur more consecutively than the allowed limit of 3
What the hell does that supposed to mean? When I reset my password, it was accepted, but when I try to login the password is rejected? Shouldn't I get this message during the resetting process? So now I have to reset again? And I believe my password meets these requirements. Which Italian IT flunkee wrote and designed this system? This system is designed to set the consumer up to fail!
To be honest, I blame Luxottica for all this mess, it seemed like Oakley used to be a great company all around. I'm likely preaching to the choir. I believe they should replace this defect under warranty, but even if I'm willing to pay for parts I still need to login to this damned portal!
Any suggestions for working the system to my favor? ππ»
I was about to buy a pair of Costa Del Mars but realized they got bought out too. Besides Maui Jim, are there any other brands/models I could be looking at?
