"invest what you are willing to lose" if I have learned something is that only patients wins, maybe you should take your money and invest it in something safer if you do not understand how this works, before investing research where you put your money 🐕
I know that there are women out there who are petty but the majority of actual workplace hardship that women go through are at the hands of men, who make us work twice hard for half as much because they hold the power.
I also know that sometimes we ARE lovely and amazing and some women will be jealous of us… but it’s not actually that hard to deal with. In fact, I’m pretty sure the more on top of your own life you are, the less you even notice someone is jealous of you. But, if you’re not there yet, the answer is to communicate with grace, cut that person off, or only engage when absolutely necessary.
And if you don’t know why “I’m not like other girls” is problematic (even when implied and not expressly stated), look it up. FLUS doesn’t seem like the right space.
On that note, I could well be wrong and maybe this isn’t women-bashing and I’m missing the point. There I will take my downvotes.
Edit: I’ve seen a lot of valid responses and I’m not sure I’ll be able to engage everyone. After reading them, I realise that, broadly speaking, the posts I’m talking about skip the part where the poster goes into detail about what they’ve done to understand where these issues stem from, whether they could do anything differently, etc. It reads like a bunch of humble brags. They also speak about “women” as a group, instead of addressing a specific individual’s behaviour which makes giving advice very difficult.
If I compare this to other posts where women ask for advice, there is vulnerability, there’s introspection, and there’s often context.
I’m not saying there should be a formula, but it gets my heckles up when it’s just a rant about how other women are tormenting them because they’re all so jealous.
I also want to add that I am coming from a place of being in a position where I was actively targeted because of how I looked (everyone around me was smart, so that was no threat).
I was 22 when I started as a candidate attorney at a law firm. I was paired with a senior female partner on the basis that I would learn a lot from her. She taught me nothing and would constantly bring me down, to the point that HR stepped in and asked if I’d rather switch to another team because my career would be tanked otherwise (I did).

i hunt bots. thats pretty much all i do in eve. i dont krab. i dont mine. i dont faction warfare, or lowsec in general. i roam 0sec all day long. i opportunisticly kill every krab i can get my hands on. and also put work and effort into getting my filthy hands on bots. ( fleetinvite, or figuring out the unndock timer and land with bot same time in ano ect ect)

However the lead is small with Wood and KPJ at 2.7 and 2.6 fga respectively (worth noting that Wood plays less minutes than JG while KPJ plays more minutes than JG in the fourth)
Looking at the last 7 games coinciding with JGs return from his hamstring injury, Jalen upped his shots in the fourth quarter to 3.0 fga, while his minuted dropped to 6.3. Wood and Porter are at 2.5 and 2.3 (on 6.1 and 8.0 min) respectively.
The numbers say that Jalen actually leads the team in fourth quarter opportunities, and is really starting to separate since his return from injury. Season long Wood and JG have similar per 36 fga in the fourth, but JG has separated himself in that aspect as well since returning from injury.
Interesting stuff, does this alter your perception of how much JG is getting the ball in the fourth?

I hope it's okay that I ask this here. I'm approaching my 30s and still live with my parents. I want to finally experience independence and self growth as an adult (and for other obvious reasons I'm sure you can all relate to). I'm looking at a place today, and in case it looks good enough, I want to submit an application ASAP. I have the recommended amount of income and great credit, but I've never rented before, and a lot of places are asking for proof of residential history and contact information for a landlord. Obviously I don't have any rental history, and the only "landlord" information I can think of are my parents themselves.
The thing is, I do NOT want them to know I am moving until I sign a lease. I am dead set on this decision and nothing will change my mind, but I don't want the whole ordeal of my mom trying to convince me to stay or finding ways to sabotage or keep me here (I feel like she's not that person, but I've seen others here who felt the same way about their parents and got blindsided). However, I know from reading that landlords consider it a red flag if you refuse to give contact info. What can I do to ensure potential places that I'm qualified without them contacting my parents? Do I be honest about my situation and still give them that info but request that they don't contact if it's not necessary? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
