A list of puns related to "Lofn"
I've only recently started exploring Heathenry and which deities I feel most drawn to. I was looking into Lofn and Sjöfn and I definitely feel like they're who I want to follow, but I'm having trouble finding any sources that go in-depth about them. I also can't find any accounts of people's experiences with them. Can anyone help me with either of these?
Do y’all think there’s any hope of Norn9 LOFN getting localized for Switch? I’ve been meaning to play Norn9 for a while now but it’s only on Vita and I don’t have one so I was hoping the Switch version would be released in English but idk if it ever will lol
Around dusk, just as the sun fades from view over the horizon, Lofn and I dock Aerin's boat at the island. We hop out onto the dock and walk up the beach toward the guildhall.
Well, Lofn, we've made it.
Yo! I'm Josh. I lived in Holland for a good portion of my life. Until I was 15 in fact! When I moved here I still didn't know I was a demi-god. It was until I was attacked by some monster that my dad told me. So. Here I am!

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.

They also play roles in Lord of the Rings.
I guess that makes them the Tolkien white guys.

“War is the Dominion in its purest, most beautiful form” -Legatus Vasistos during the Dominion-Conclave border skirmish of Lofn-superior
Quaestor Iphelia looked at her data tabula as she moved briskly down the line of newly acquired helots. The subjects in question had been the ones not lucky enough to flee into the savanna. As a Quaestor it was her job to evaluate how much value the Dominion could salvage from each one. That is, of course, if there was any to even be recovered.
Passing the stylus between her clawed fingers, she gazed upwards from the tabula to the chained, quaking helot before her. The insect-like creature's small eyes darted around in fear, shaking in nervous dread. Her judgment was quick, it had to be: for there were many helots, yet few Quaestors to match.
“Weak, but still able-bodied enough for labor. To the mines.” On her tabula, she marked off another for the mines as legionarius approached from behind. They shoved the creature, manhandling it before guiding it off to another group that was to be fed to the machine of industry. Moving on to the next alien in line, she came to what she assumed to be a mother clutching her child. Iphelia looked the alien up and down, from top to bottom.
“Average build, manual labor. Hold the child, however.” She noted the helot’s new destination on her tabula and waved over two legionarii to separate the two. The child was pulled from the creature's hands by a legionarius while the other shoved her off towards the mining group. The alien began to wail and reach for her child. The legionarius pushed her along, slamming her pilum into the alien's head. The victim fell to the ground, a gash on the side of her head from where the weapon had struck her.
“Get the fuck up and move!” Yelled the Legionarius, grabbing at the creature's neck and trying to pull it to its feet. The alien moved along the ground quickly until it was presented to Iphelia. The alien raised its chained hands and yelled in what Iphelia could only assume was begging. It gestured to its kin, still held in the hands of another Legionarius. Iphelia looked at the groveling alien, holding its chained hands out to her before it was kicked in the side by the angry legionarius.
“Calm down, we can’t have you breaking the new helots already.” The Legionarius looked over to the bored Quaestor and stepped back from the groveling alien. Iphelia looked back to the wailing child and pulled up her tabula evaluating the child. “It

That was the punchline
In Gylfaginning 35 Snorri gives a list of 14 Ásynjur, and I wanted to explore the validity of most of their existence today.
According to Dr. Jackson Crawford, with video link and other sources below:
Snorri attempts to flesh out the number of Ásynjur to make 12, basing it on the tradition of classical and medieval writers that there are 12 Olympians with the goal of making all sets of pagan Gods identical to the Greco-Roman Gods. The funny thing is, he doesn’t even list 12 Ásynjur, he lists 14.
Few of these are ever mentioned outside the aforementioned list in Gylfaginning. Snorri is attempting to make the beliefs more systematic than they really are, with him attributing characteristics and roles to these Ásynjur who are probably just alternative names for Frigg.
Questionable Ásynjur:
Eir- known only from a list of names in Fjǫlsvinnsmál.
Gná- only mentioned in a fragment of a lost and unnamed poem, which details her rides on her horse Hófvarpnir and its parentage. The source for this stanza is not provided and is otherwise unattested.
Hlín: a clear name of Frigg used for alliteration purposes, as seen in its sole appearance in Vǫluspá 52.
Lofn: known nowhere outside of Snorri’s list.
Sága: known only from Grímnismál 7, and according to Lindow, there is a similarity of her hall Sǫkkvabekkr to Frigg’s hall Fensalir. It can be argued this alternative name is used for alliterative purposes. Also, the fact that Óðinn openly drinks with “Sága” in her hall makes the equivalence clearer. The etymology of the name, related to the verb ‘sjá’, ‘to see’, understanding her as a vǫlva, have led most scholars to identify Sága as another name for Frigg.
Sjǫfn: known nowhere outside of Snorri’s list.
Snotra: known nowhere outside of Snorri’s list.
Syn: known nowhere outside of Snorri’s list.
Vǫr: known nowhere outside of Snorri’s list.
It is highly doubtful that any of these Ásynjur were actually worshipped or even thought to exist during the Viking Age, and they’re likely personified functions of Frigg used to fulfill Snorri’s equation with the Greco-Roman pantheon.

I did not know.
So he tells me "as Mushroom as possible!"
So proud.

He said, “Change the batteries in your hearing aid”.
