Recently I heard that Seltzer/Friedberg, notorious for making satirical parody movies, (my personal favorites being Scary Movie, Disaster Movie, Superhero Movie, Date Movie, etc) are making two movies that are to parody Star Wars and Taken. Is this true?

PS, most people get these guys.

I'm trying to figure out why they get to keep making movies.

The two directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer are responsible for some of the worst movies of all time (Epic Movie, Date Movie, Meet the Spartans, etc.) and have worked with some major Hollywood names but I have never seen an interview with them. Nor do they seem to have social media accounts.

Do these people actually exist? Or are they pseudonyms for some people who don't want to be associated with these horrible spoof movies? How have they been able to stay out of the limelight they way they've done? Is the simple answer that they don't actually exist as movie makers nor people?

As far as I know, there's only one known photo of the two - at it's at least ten years old and may be fake.

On February 8, 2017, it was reported they were developing a parody of Star Wars titled Star Worlds Episode XXXIVE=MC2: The Force Awakens The Last Jedi Who Went Rogue. Filming was set for late 2017, however, because of the duo's unpopularity, this has since been unknown when these will go ahead."

Their last credit was in 2015, and those two "announced projects" don't look like they'll ever be made. But for one shining moment, in what was perhaps pop culture's worst decade, they were stars.

I think somebody might've brought this up before, but I have to ask again - how did those worthless cinematic crimes did so well at the box office even though they have absolutely no reeeming quality whatsoever? I mean, it took Vampires Suck to finally cause people to realize that these guys aren't even pretending to try!

Films like Date Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, Vampires Suck, The Starving Games, Superfast and Meet the Spartans are all by these two.

I think what's worse is I knew lots of guys in high school who genuinely loved them. My friend made me go and see Disaster Movie with him for his 12th birthday. I was the perfect age for these movies to come out and be surrounded by guys who thought they were the funniest things on the planet. God save me.
