He mentions in this week’s “32 Thoughts” that the Canadiens are one of the teams that are interested in Jakob Chychrun. While I would love this move it probably won’t happen as Arizona is asking for picks and prospects. Thoughts?

As a fellow Austrian I've been following Jakob for a while now and it seems that he is having a really great year. He is 1st in offensive rebounds per game and 1st in contested shots per game and top 10 in most other defensive stats. His obvious weakness is unfortunately free throw shooting..

What do you think of him as a player and what do you think his ceiling is?

Are his offensive weaknesses, especially free throw shooting, something he can improve?

And what career path do you see for him? Does he have the potential to move to a contending team?

Not sure what you guys think on here, but I think it would be amazing to see the home town kid play with Ekblad and then move Weegs back down with Forsling. From a business stand-point it seems like it would make a lot of sense and draw more fans

Have to start this off by saying, what a stud!

Last season, Poeltl showed that he had potential to be a legitimate centre in the league.

He’s now having a career year (career high in minutes played 29.2) while showcasing he’s slowly becoming one of the leagues premier shot blockers.

His playmaking ability is also coming to light, as he’s now averaged 5+ assists in his last 3/4 games.

The last 2 weeks, Poeltl is averaging: 57% FG 11/10/3.3 with 2.6 blocks

On the season, Poeltl is averaging: 61% FG 12/9/2.6 with 0.5 steals 1.6 blocks

His 1.6 blocks are more than the following centres:

• Porzingis
• Embiid
• Capella
• Collins
• Allen
• Holmes
• Towns
• Draymond

How are you guys feeling about Poeltl? I myself am very high on him and think he has potential to player at an even higher level. The fact that his assist numbers are also trending up make his value very high.

If I had to choose between Poeltl or Richaun Holmes, call me crazy but I think I’d take Poeltl.

Was just killing time and came across a Minx VOD of a stream with Jakob and Trevor.

At a certain moment, the question of if they ever shat on any content creators came up. At first they couldn't come up with anything, but then Jakob said "Our bosses when we were 18?"

Obviously this referred to them when they worked at CowChop. Jakob then outright says that, when he joined and started working there, everyone (Trevor included) already wanted to quit. They then exemplify by talking about how Joe would drive home saying he wanted to quit so fucking bad. And that it was common practice for everyone to shit on their bosses (Aleks? James? Brett?) when out of work.

Someone in chat then says "man, I miss cowchop" and Trevor says "Man, shut the fuck up" with a half chuckle.

It just goes to show there's so much shit that went on behind the scenes. And clearly things were never as healthy as they seemed. It looks like parting ways was really for the best.

Minimum 10 GP in 2021-22, data from topdownhockey/Patrick Bacon, AKA the guy whose data is often used by JFresh in their player cards. Quite a swing for Chychrun. In a post on here about him being -20 recently, many suggested he is still a very good player, just stuck on a bad team. However, this “advanced” metric may suggest he’s been part of the problem this year.

Maybe this suggests Chychrun is bad this year. Or unlucky this year. Or lucky last year. Or, probably, that the 2021-22 season is young and this sample is quite small. The major point here is it’s tough to draw firm conclusions.

Chychrun is at -0.0451 WAR/GP. However, last year, the worst regular player was (you guessed it) Rasmus Ristolainen, with -0.0238 WAR/GP. The best was Auston Matthews at 0.107 WAR/GP. So far this year, 41 people are below that minimum, and 3 people are above that maximum (the maximum is always much larger in magnitude than the minimum with this). Out of 370 “qualified” players with 10+ GP, the first 50 players at the top of the list are outperforming their 2020-21 values; the last 49 are underperforming. This suggests to me that the current sample is not enough to judge a player’s “true” performance, and is still heavily impacted by luck. Simply waiting more games (no fun, I know) should reduce the variance in the metrics.

But despite what I just said about this possibly not being very reliable at this point, because who cares let's just argue anyway, here are the top-10 and bottom-10 defensemen and forwards so far this year in WAR/GP:

Tried Axl 4 and Maximo 5, no luck. While there is video proof on youtube that you can make this even with Zero A, these 3 characters requires good movement to not get punched by the mechas.

After get destroyed with Axl and Maximo, I upgraded Black Zero to 4 stars, and what a beast. You don't need to worry anymore, just spam raikosen to win.

Still, I found Axl and Maximo good to climb normal, hard and other challenge levels, But people should prioritize BZ for this specific level.

Any thoughts on Jakob Poeltl ? Wow loved his bromance with Siakam when they were both rookies. A very wholesome guy. Our 2016 picks are still thriving in this league . Im saying this now because I looked at the spurs boxscore & I had no idea he was a starter for them! got a good contract to! I know hes been a starter since last yr but It seems like hes been given a bigger workload this season. Happy for the guy. Dropped 27PTS & 14 REB vs LA . Averaging a solid 14.3PTS on 63% shooting, 10.3 REB. He came a long way . If you think about even though it didn’t work out for us, Masai still went 2 for 2. His track record is unbelievable .

Not sure what is our position in trade deals or if our FO are gunning for top prospects like Banchero tbh.

Can anyone shed light on our front court rotation plans?

So I started my first ever playthrough of Fire emblem fates, because I’m crazy, and I had just gotten Jakob. Hurray… and then I realized I don’t have anyone to pair him with. I’m currently on chapter 16 and I paired every father with a female unit. Except for Jacob. And I think I over did it because now I ran out of female units for him to S-support with. All that’s left are Reina and Scarlet, who are Avatar-sexuals. And I didn’t even choose them, I chose Orochi. So what do I do with Jakob now?

Hey is Jakob elevator challenge mode (and normal/hard mod) basically only doable with shield/heals units? I currently on 44 challenge and all the ones I won was with Cinnamon and Massimo (shield units) . My Protoman and UAX gets destroy when I use them so was just wondering if that the case.
