Business want me to do more to block potential bad actors on this current log4j risk, they are very eager to just blacklist the bad IP addresses before it hits us, to that end I am thinking of potentially blocking all addresses on ISDB Malicious-Malicious.Server, either routing black hole or deny policy.

Hey folks, what's the ISDB entry proper for teams? I Want to crate a policy using an ISDB but did not find a specific entry for Teams. Will Microsoft Office 365 do the trick? Any advice will be appreciated.

Edit Solution: Download a copy of the config, manually remove the duplicate entry by deleting from the config, then restore back to the unit. No nuke, no upgrade, as suggested by support. Didn't even need to take down the master.

For those that don't know, ISDB is a database that Fortinet maintains of internet services. Essentially, the Fortigate downloads a package of known and verified IPs and ports for popular internet services (think AWS, Microsoft, Adobe, Citrix, etc.) from FortiGuard.

The other day, I come into the office, load into our FG and was alerted to HA errors. Dig down into this and discovered that there is a mismatch between the ISDB on our master and our slave: Somehow, a duplicate entry was added to the slave.

Mind you, we do not, and cannot, control these entries, as they come directly from Fortinet. So basically, they broke our cluster.

Reach out to support, and after probably the most utterly useless and rude phone call, I'm left with two options (according to TAC): either upgrade our production firmware (which apparently wipes the ISDB) or nuke the device and re-do the cluster.

How, in such a critical piece of equipment, are there no existing management commands for the ISDB?!

I understand not being able to add or remove individual entries; that would defeat the purpose of having Fortinet verify the IPs and such. But in all honesty, how are there no commands for purging and reloading or purge and copy from master??

Anyone else seen this before and did you figure a solution besides nuke? I have to wait until Sunday to run any commands but I'm hoping that maybe an execute refresh fixes this, as opposed to having to re-do a crap ton of work.

In around 2015, some channels broadcasted in DVB T standard around Colombo area, Hiru, ITN to be some.

So what standard will Sri Lanka use? European DVB or Japanese ISDB. I believe DVB is superior than the Japanese standard.

When editing a particular category for ISDB (example Microsoft-Outlook) there is the option to disable a selected IP, yet, when refreshing it’s enabled again.

I am trying to disable a particular IP for Bing which is included under this category.

Is this a bug? On FortiOS 6.0.6.
