A list of puns related to "Intermingle"
I remember something about beast races not mixing, but Men and Mer can. My question is, what would the dominant traits of the child be if the father was an Imperial for example, but the mother a Nord, or vice versa? My reasons for asking would be curiosity, and because I got an idea to roleplay in a character of mixed parentage in Skyrim, but I'm unsure which parent's race to pick and how to best indicate it. Seeking answers online has landed me mixed results and no definitive answer. I doubt it works the same way as it does irl. The only example I can recall would be the arena grand champion in Oblivion, who had an Imperial father, but I can't draw many conclusions from it.
My best friend and I have been friends for about 7 years and she is one of the most important people in my life. However, I feel like sheβs been getting in my other social circles recently, and is it horrible of me to not like this?
We (my sisters, her and I) went on my trip a few months ago and my best friend has really bonded with my sisters, which is great. But now when I asked her to hang out with me, she suggested my sisters come as well. Itβs fine and all but we havenβt really had one on one bonding time with each other and I kinda just want to hang out with my friend. You know that feeling that you act differently with different social groups, and I just wanted to catch up with my friend.
Another incident was I was going to hang out with two of my friends next week that she doesnβt know. But since we now work together along with one of those friends, she had invited her along. Again, I love my friend to bits but I just wanted to have a catch up with that friend group.
Am I a horrible friend for feeling this way? Is there anything I can do to make this situation better? I donβt really want to open this up with her if I donβt have to because thereβs been a lot of drama in both our lives recently and our friendship has been one of the few things that are drama-free.
Thanks in advance.
tldr: best friend has been intermingling with my other social groups and Iβm not really keen on it.
I noticed in these kind of worlds they always show couples as being the same animals. I'm world building around animal crossing and I'm just curious how others approach the question. Also if anyone has media examples that are not fan fiction and not porn please that would be neat. (Yes I know how the furry community do, not what I mean lol).
I know the question of pivoting content is a popular one here so i'm hoping I can give a bit more context to my specific question and scenario since I dont think its as black and white as others I've seen.
My main channel makes informative Minecraft content based around mods (54k subs, 5-10k average views per video in a week). It has been doing well, but obviously that content has significantly less appeal overall than general entertaining Minecraft content and my subscribers tend to only then care about 1-2 topics I may or may not return to. Due to this, I've wanted to try mixing some of that more widely appealing type of content into my video pool... still Modded Minecraft, but a different editing style / video theme.
These videos have done okay so far, but I have noticed that due to how my channel grew, each video that goes out immediately has a subpar AVD / CTR compared to what I'd like (7% overall CTR out the gate, 5% overall CTR within a day, 45% AVD out the gate, 35-40% AVD within a day, 10ish min videos).
My question is, would it be beneficial to make a second channel and direct people to it from my main channel if theyd be interested in that content, thus helping it start out and hopefully giving my videos a better AVD/CTR out the gate since it would be less people getting sent it that outright dont care for it? Or is it better to keep it on my main channel because it will net more overall views out the gate, even with a worse AVD / CTR? Because of how similar the video themes are, I havent been able to figure out which would be the ideal call (if there even is one)...
Thirthy-Fifth Case: The Dialogue of Manjusri and Wu Cho
What do Zen Masters teach? Do they teach Zen? Let's find out!^archive
Today was a great day for studying Zen. I wanted to keep it going for a little bit more. Now I'm gonna go get dinner.
Case
>Manjusri asked Wu Cho, "Where have you just come from?" > >Wu Cho said, "The South." > >Manjusri said, "How is the Buddhist Teaching being carried on in the South?" > >Wu Cho said, "Monks of the Last Age have little regard for the rules of discipline." > >Manjusri said, "How numerous are the congregations?" > >Wu Cho said, "Some three hundred, some five hundred." > >Wu Cho asked Manjusri, "How is it being carried on hereabouts?" > >Manjusri said, "Ordinary people and sages dwell together; dragons and snakes intermingle." > >Wu Cho said, "How numerous are the congregations?" > >Manjusri said, "In front, three by three; in back three by three."
astrocomments:
-At first a line is drawn, a judgement casted, picking and choosing are still occurring. Then the line erased, who can tell ordinary people from sages? I donβt understand the last bit, "three by three", is that a reference to something?
-What is the Buddhist Teaching according to Zen Masters? Another monk, when asked the same question (How is the Buddhist Teaching being carried on in the South?), answered: "There is much deliberation." Did the Buddhist Teaching come from Bodhidharma? From the Buddha? Did it not exist before they started talking? What about after they stopped?
-People want to be Zen Masters to be above people. In Zen this is not so. Dragons and snake intermingle. How does that make sense? Do you still want to be enlightened? AMA in the comments, as always.
Firstly, I really hope this doesnβt offend anyone. Given the fact that race is a bit of a touchy subject these days, I apologize in advance if my question is offensive.
So letβs say that you sent a bunch of blonde hair, blue-eyed Scandinavians to go live in a country like Kenya, permanently. Assuming that the Europeans and the Africans do not intermingle and no mixed-race kids are born, would the Europeans evolve to end up looking like Africans after several generations of living in Africa? Would their skin darken? Would their hair texture/colour change? Or would all of their physical features stay the same, regardless of how many generations they have been in Africa for?
Just saw an ad on YouTube for an online program called 'Aquinas 101,' in which the works of Thomas Aquinas are studied, and there is a very intense emphasis put on the idea that science and faith can not only intermingle, but "make each other better" (as one of the professors puts it).
How reasonable does this sound to you? I'm interested to see everyone's opinions. I myself am an atheist, but I grew up in the Catholic faith (in which this online program is rooted) and have struggled with this type of thing before. Personally, I cannot see how the two could intermingle without one of them winning out in the end. But what do you think? And has anyone else seen these ads?
I'm planning on sleeving my cards up and I tend to prefer different color sleeves when I know cards stay within their own decks. I'm picturing the investigator cards in one color, encounter cards in a second color, and act/agenda cards in clear sleeves so both sides are visible.
I'm just wondering if any expansions have special treachery cards that shuffle into an investigator deck or some similar situation.
For example if I cracked a rotten egg into the bag, would all the other items smell when I pull them out?
Or if I filled it with water, would they be wet?
EDIT: it would be fun to just unload 500 pounds of water in one go...
I can't really find anything that resolves romance and fantasy in a decent fashion. Both these books represent such an intriguing romance but neither seems to come to detail/fruition. I just wanna read a book with a happy ending with the main character finding the person they need to fulfill their dreams and life in a fantastical/fateful way.
I know the crew consist agreement talks about yard crews and how the carrier can't intermingle crews and move people off jobs but this is currently a large issue with our terminal. Was there a side letter between the carrier and unions that allowed them to do this? BNSF is currently where this is happening.
So I've always been in an agnostic limbo for my whole life. I've mostly just believed in the importance of being a good person and helping others. I also have believed that ultimately it's the soul and personality that matters, and that people in our world sometimes focus too much on appearances. But that conflicts directly with my desire to be perceived as a feminine/female leaning individual. It conflicts with most trans/non-binary beliefs in fact. I'm not entirely sure how to resolve these two conflicting philosophies. On the one hand I know transitioning will help me be happier and live a fuller life, but on the other I have a spiritual philosophy that tells me that my body doesn't matter and I can find happiness through my actions. I think I just need some outside input to help me resolve this conundrum.
Here's a secondary question. I understand many religions or spiritual practices aren't exactly trans friendly, how have you adapted your religious beliefs to fit your reality?
My ex and I were together for nearly 9 years and lived together for a majority of that time. [We still currently live together but this summer if not sooner I'm going to find a place of my own.]
I have so much stuff but it's all intermixed with my ex's stuff and there isn't room to go through it the way I'd like to.
I have probably two carloads of old clothes to donate that will probably open up some room but I have very limited time to spend going through everything.
I used to consider myself a minimalist but looking at what I own right now I realize that adjective no longer applies. With my limited time, I sometimes wish our apartment would catch fire so I would not have to deal with it. I feel so overwhelmed.
Can y'all give me some tips to get started?
