A list of puns related to "Increased Pressure Within The Eye"
25 male. Lamellar type cataracts. The pressures are always within healthy ranges as far as I know but Iβve read a lot about children having eye surgery increasing glaucoma risk and asymmetrical pressures being indicative. I think the most was 4 points apart but typically only 1-2 apart. Is this something that would have happened by now if it were going to given itβs been 20 years since my operation?
NOTE/Edit my surgery for cataract removal was at 5 years of age. All those studies indicating it is a big risk are on babies operated on before 9 months. Only 4% of post op congenital cataracts surgery eyes developed glaucoma if it was done after 9 months of age. I was 5 YEARS old. That is what I am asking about.
Species: Kitten
Age: 3 1/2 months
Sex: Male/Not neutered
Breed: DSH
Weight: Approximately 3 lbs 5 oz
History: Hank was a foster fail. We knew he had glaucoma when we got him in June. Back the eye was very big and looked painful. Since then the pressure has seemed to go back and forth. We initially treated him for toxo with clindamyicin, and that worked wonders. Then eventually it got worse again. (See linked photos). He went to a specialist two weeks ago to look at his eye and they want to save it so they prescribed a bunch of meds (attached photo). They are not helping.
Clinical Signs: Swollen, enlarged eye due to increased pressure, but otherwise a happy cat. Loss of vision in eye.
Duration: Since at least 6 weeks old.
Location: Greensboro NC

Hi! Since 2017, when I was diagnosed with KC, I've felt this constant pressure behind the cornea and in the eye overall, as if it's going to burst. I feel like squeezing it or pusing the eye in due to so much pressure. It's not pain but still hurts. I'm not sure how else to explain this. I've been to 4 doctors and all of them just say it's because of KC and nothing can be done, I'll have to live with it.
I had CXL in my worse eye (right) a year ago and the pressure has decreased significantly, it's only noticeable once a week or so. My better eye (left) which was fine pre cxl has now started showing the same signs. I've been told that kmax is higher (61.9) in the left eye hence why I've been put on hold for cxl. But all the parameters in both of my eyes pre and post cxl are same since 2017. This was other thing I was confused about. I've read other posts stating so much improvements yet mine stayed the same, vision went down from 20/60 to 20/80 with glasses.
I'm not sure what this is and what should I be doing. Does this happen to anyone else? What sort of questions should I be asking on my next visit to the opthalmologist?
This occurs when I try pressing on either eye and press on either the inside or the outside corner.
