A list of puns related to "Ibrox Subway Station"
Was a season ticket holder along with my brother but I cancelled mine due to finances and not knowing when we would get back into games. However my brother has kept his on and was lucky enough to be at the Livingston game on Saturday.
He was telling me the amount of fans disappearing at 75 mins was mental. Especially considering how long it's been since we've been able to get to a game, and how good the team done last season.
I find this a bit embarrassing to be honest (especially since the stadium was half full as well) and am making this post to see everyone's views on it. Are you one of the ones that fucks off before the end of the game and thinks it finished 2-0? or are you like me and getting unnessisarily annoyed about it cos only a select few got a ticket on Saturday?
Iβll start.
Times Sq 42nd St. 125th St 4,5,6 Lexington Ave. Broadway Junction.
Emerging from the subway can be a cinematic moment, so which one conveys to you "This is New York!"
Times Square is too easy, and few exits are right in the heart of it.
I actually think Columbus Circle has a lot of energy. You've got skyscrapers, the park, and a huge plaza that to me says "this is the big city."
But people may want landmarks. Maybe somewhere on 34th street, to see the Empire State Building? The Bryant Park B/D/F/M offers a great view of the ESB too.
What are your candidates?
Im considering a rent stabilized 1 bedroom apartment around Greenpoint/East Williamsburg. It is extremely affordable and a pretty decent place. The catch? 17 minute walk to the L and 20 min walk to the G. Brutal. I've never lived further than 10 mins to the train. How far is too far? And does a cheap apartment off set how far it is? It does have citi bike 1 block away which is nice.
EDIT!!!!! Did a dry run today to the L train and it was actually 12.50 minutes not what googles lists as 17 minutes. Although there was nothing but buildings and churches for about 10 of those minutes.
Final Edit: The walk to the train was shorter than expected but had absolutely nothing on the way. Once I got a few blocks away from the train I didnβt see a single cafe, bar, restaurant, or store. All just buildings. It felt very unlike New York to be so in the middle of nowhere. I passed. Thanks for all the responses. Going to mute replies now.
Politicians love touting how NYC is one of the greatest cities in the world and weβre so unique and all that. Once Beijing and all the other Chinese cities beat our 472 stations in a decade or two, what are they gonna say then? Weβre a city past our prime and we canβt match up to our Chinese overlords? They would do and say anything just to not build new subway or rail infrastructure even if it is a necessity. Just look at how long SAS is taking to get built or the cost overruns and delays of ESA. We canβt even build any new subways in the outer boroughs period. This city is a fucking disgrace compared to almost every single city east of the Atlantic Ocean.
At around 4:30pm today there was a man laying unconscious at the bottom of a staircase at bloor-yonge station transferring to line 2, going westbound. His hands were blue and he didnβt look like he was breathing. Apparently the paramedics were called just before I got there, only one man was helping him but he didnβt really seem to know what to do. I havenβt been able to stop thinking about it, does anyone have any more information about this or know what happened to him? I hope he is alright.
