Title. The game was literally designed to be a Battle Royale, as can be seen with the map size. It was 25% finished (at best, optimistic), and now, it's 20% finished because they removed rush. This game wasn't ready at launch to be a BR, let alone anything else. They pulled a full on Sims 4 and changed the entire game up just days before launch I bet

Edit: for the people asking what I mean by this Sims 4, it was designed to be a multiplayer game which is why there are no big open neighborhoods with tons of lots for you to choose from. It was meant to be small, personable, and unchangeable, for multiplayer

You'd know what tribunal is if you're old LOL player. Like 7 years ago. I believe Judgement Kayle exclusive skin was for those who did tribunal back then. Basically, tribunal was a feature in LoL's site back in the days where players could participate in judging reported players by reading chat log. Hence, the bans and judgement were supported by the opinion of mass playerbase or at least, the many that did tribunal. They were also fun to do and a good time sink while you waited for queue.

Edit: turns out Judgement kayle was not from tribunal and was from "playing 10 games event" back then according to what others claimed. I don't remember where I got it from. It was long ago, I was young and just assumed it was from tribunal back then but turns out it wasn't I guess? In any case, that's off point.

Sometimes when I can’t sleep at night, I get the urge to go for a walk to clear my head and calm down, but I can’t. I’m 5’1, 105 pounds, and biologically female; I think you know exactly what I mean. From a young age, my mom explained to me it was too dangerous for me to walk alone at night or be in certain places alone. I’ve always resented this. Why can’t I just go for a fucking walk without the risk of rape or death or abduction? I can’t walk alone at night unless my male best friend (who is 6’3, always carries a knife, and I know he’ll protect me) is with me, or if I’m with a large group of girls. I don’t want to be constantly hyper-vigilant about my safety because of my sex. It’s not fair. I hate it. Apparently enjoying a stroll on my own is too much to ask for.

So this is just a pet peeve of mine. Every time I see people talk about making aasimar “biblically accurate”, it becomes immediately apparent that most people haven’t actually read the passages where angels are described.

For starters, the word angel comes from a Greek word meaning messenger, and in the Bible they mostly appear to tell people they’re gonna have a baby or to wipe out the occasional civilization. People frequently have full conversations with angels before realizing what they are, implying that typical angels pretty much just look like people. The image of angels as 7-foot, winged Adonises comes to us from renaissance artists who were more influenced by Greek myths than biblical writings.

There are other celestial beings, cherubim, seraphim and the like, described elsewhere in the Bible, typically in visions. This is where the conversation inevitably turns to the Ophanim. These are the topaz wheels covered in eyes that follow the cherubim in Ezekiel’s vision. For some reason, the Ophanim have become a shorthand for the weirdness of biblical angels to the point that they eclipse conversation of other celestial beings. What confuses me about people’s obsession with the chariot wheels is that the cherubim are way crazier. They have four wings, four arms and bronze hooves. They also have four faces (ox, human, lion and eagle) so they never have to turn around. Then there are Isaiah’s six-winged seraphim who go around shoving hot coals in people’s mouths. Meanwhile the Ophanim aren’t even given a name within the canonical scriptures. Furthermore, the hierarchy of angels that people reference isn’t biblical; it’s 5th century Christian fanfic.

TLDR: Yes, there is a lot of cool, strange, practically eldritch stuff in the Bible — I recommend checking out Ezekiel, Isaiah or really any of the prophets — but if you’re using the word “biblical”, maybe make sure it’s actually in the Bible.

(Last July) My girlfriend confessed her feelings to her long-time close friend that he was her first love even though they were just friends. She confessed her feelings to that friend so my girlfriend can finally move on, so she can love me alone with all her heart.

I was flattered, congratulations to me, it's supposed to be sweet right? No.

December happened. Her close friend confessed to my girlfriend as well. He wanted to court her. He said that what if in the end, they were meant for each other instead?

Yes, my girlfriend broke up with me. I gave her the option to consider giving that friend of hers a chance. Just a chance. My girlfriend of almost 6 years, I never thought that she will accept that option...

What I did was right, I guess? I think it's an evitable event that even if i did not give her that option today, someday it'd be a cycle that's always bound to happen. What's happening right now is at least better than a possibility of cheating while we're married right? I just don't know what to do while she's answering her "what ifs" in her life.

There's a chance that the friend and my ex would work out. There's also a chance that they wouldn't. I know my worth, but I still love my ex so much. What could I do, if she is my first love.

I appreciate that she was transparent and honest to me to say everything, instead of cheating.

I’m a nurse. Early this week I had a full Covid patient assignment. I usually try to cluster care and be as efficient as possible in Covid rooms to minimize exposure. But on Monday I made an exception because I had a patient that we were transitioning to hospice who was actively dying. Her family chose to not come see her because they didn’t want to risk exposure. And because I didn’t want her to die alone, I sat in her room for over an hour holding her hand and talking to her.

Yesterday I tested positive for Covid and have been virtually unable to leave my bed because of the severe weakness, body aches, and chills. I’m a single mom and doing everything in my power to quarantine myself from my son so he doesn’t get it too.

My manager told a coworker that I’m faking it. My hospital is forcing me to use PTO to cover time off, because we don’t get sick pay unless we use PTO for the first 3 days first. We haven’t gotten hazard pay in a year.

I’m frustrated that hospitals continue to be so callous towards staff that essentially incurred a workplace injury. I’ve been a nurse for 11 months and deeply regret my decision to join this profession. The love I have for my patients just isn’t enough anymore.

I didn’t sign up to be treated like a disposable work horse.

For context, I’m 39 and have been single living alone for about 15 years. I just cleaned a rats’ nest out of my grill. Yes, I saw them. Other things to make The List have included: trapping more than 8 mice in under 2 hours, having to buy a car quickly and doing all of the negotiating alone, negotiating an issue with my landlord… Seems that most of mine include rodents and/or negotiating. What do you wish you could pass off?
