Herod the great, king of Judea, he was born in 74/73 bc and died in 4 bc (I've read in several articles about his death date). But in bible it is written that Jesus was born during the reign of Herod (Matthew 2:1), how is that possible to die in 4 bc and also be a king in the beginning of 1 ad when christ was born? I really hate the idea that we all have to sit by and wait for these streamers to pick what server they want to make all of our decisions on where to play. i have seem many posts here claiming Herod for the non-streamers and i believe we need to band together and claim it for our own

I have used the Razor since I bought it, and killed many Cumans and bandits with them, but now I bought Herod’s sword, and it’s a longsword. Should I stay with the Razor, or is Herod’s sword better, if I have the stats stated?

We all fought through queue times, lag, and DDoS'ing for a month.

Now the People's Server, a place where players have gone to avoid the unsavory experiences involved with playing with streamers, has been made unplayable by Asmongold and his followers.

Whether or not this will be temporary doesn't matter. Every weekend thousands of us without freetime during the week are disappointed, and this is the last time for me.

If Blizzard wanted to make amends (and an extra buck) they'd open up transfer services for factions and servers, but at this point I'm too put off to even do that.

This probably applies to all prelaunch servers, but is specially bad in Herod and Faerlina.

I have never logged in Herod/Faerlina, it is all based on Reddit posts.

These servers are the ones with the largest queue, and are full even in the evening. Most of the complains on the forums come from these 2. The argument most people give for not changing is they don't want to be in a dead server (which I think is silly). But if this goes on, they will be overpopulated way way longer after launch than any other server.

Think it this way: during name reservation, people that created chars were either tourists, retail players, classic nostalgia fans and hardcore players. After launch, everyone of those but hardcore and stubborn players would wait a 3+ hours queue. People are even scheduling their login or perma logging ( some posts notice queue position drops very slowly there) instead of changing. That means, all the remaining players are the ones that rather deal with a gigantic queue.

Now the question, how many of this players that go to such extends, will stop playing after the hype drop-down? No clue, but it certainly will be a lot less than others servers, with the possibility to even have queues way past launch.

Then there is also stage 2. Even if by then the queues are gone, if they blizzard removes the layers, they will be back, with the most committed people still playing and a lot less willingly to make the switch.

So make yourself and the server a favor and convince your friends to switch; Consider if the name you got/ 2 days of playtime is worth what will likely be weeks of overpopulation.

Im a bored lvl 53 Tauren warrior as of writing - and i decided to gank

When i decide to gank i dont just simply gank, i usually make rules to my ganking, allow there to be surprises for myself and provide opportunity for gankers to team up/"win" - rarely happens though. This time was different.

I just spent the last 30 minutes walking around Raven Hill (actual walking) in duskwood like some demon, terrorizing lvl 25-30s. Lots of groups out, so plenty of opportunity for them to team up, and me to kill.

At first, allies were unsure of my motive - some came near me thinking i was harmless since i didnt charge - Wam. Bam. Blap. Dead.

Some had their backs turned as they fought other mobs. Wam. Bam. Blap. Dead.

Individuals tried to fight back. Wam. Bam. Blap. Dead.

I lurked and I lurked, but they became aware of me and my motive. They tried avoiding me.

Finally, one group which had been very aware for the most part, a group of 5, foolishly went into a dead end catacomb. I waited at the entrance - making no secret of my presence.

As the 5 were leaving, they saw me, knew who i was (and i knew them), and fled further into the catacomb.

The chase was on - anticipation built as I began to walk further in.

One poor individual not in the grp i was chasing had thier back turned to me, and was promptly killed - the others watched, but decided run rather than fight.

I walked and walked, further into the catacomb.

I came to a doorway, heard the all too familiar stealth sound, even saw the lvl 20-something. But as i went to strike him he sapped me, it didnt last long, but just enough for him and his buddies to flee. I got one hit on one of thier party as i got unsapped but i was frost novad in my spot, and couldnt berserk charge (only charge i allowed myself).

They escaped.

Smart play, but it didnt end there.

I slogged out of the catacomb, and got on thier trail once again. They understood completely the mechanics of my game, and were kiting me as they killed the mobs they needed... but eventually i caught thier warlock who got cocky and slowed by a mob, and then they counter struck in force.

Not only did this group of 5 decide to stand and fight for their friend, all the other low levels within eye shot came to help piling in on me. I whirlwinded, I mortal striked, i killed a few, but they overwhelmed me and took me out.

When i resurrected they were still around my body, i clapped, they cheered, and i left. Content provided for both sides -

As a Priest trying to get his Benediction, that had 2 failed attempts due to people ruining the event - I want to say thank you to Jossh and Nikov (2 Undead Priests) for helping me achieve my goal. You two sacrificed your lives and stood at the entrance of the cave, getting hit continuously by skeletons to help me achieve my goal. We hope to start raiding ~two months after release. That should allow the team enough time to hit 60 and get attuned with the help of the guild at a more relaxing pace than you may find at some hardcore / semi-hardcore guilds. We will be using a custom Suicide Kings loot system.

Events: We already have an IRL meetup planned for pre-release in NYC, and we plan to organize many more going forward! We have a sister guild on the Horde side (our friendly rivals) that we will do IRL and in game events with (but we will not collude with them in game). We already have a bunch of members that are based around NYC, so if you’re also in the area this may be an especially fun guild for you!
