'INFORMATION COLLECTION' - Learning about the sub and the statistical makeup of the people therein by posting “innocent” questions and noting the replies.

'ANGER TROLLING' - Provoking those who are quick to anger and squirrelling that knowledge away to make a case against the sub for bad behaviour or similar.

'GAINING FULL CONTROL' - Becoming moderators and slowly killing the sub or changing what it is.

This brings the unrelated postings to the top of the forum list, and the critical posting 'slides' down the front page, and quickly out of public view. Although it is difficult or impossible to censor the posting it is now lost in a sea of unrelated and unuseful postings. Technique #2 - 'CONSENSUS CRACKING'

Under the guise of a fake account a posting is made which looks legitimate and is towards the truth is made - but the critical point is that it has a VERY WEAK PREMISE without substantive proof to back the posting. Once this is done then under alternative fake accounts a very strong position in your favour is slowly introduced over the life of the posting. I was wondering if anyone here lives near the SF bay area, and might want to help me build a 3He/4He cryostat to make superconducting stuff, eventually a crappy quantum computer?

Has anyone tried this? There is a lot of information about using coffee grounds either as a medium or mixed with another substrate but I could not find anything on spraying it directly with diluted coffee.

Lots of plants like when you spray a mix of coffee and water since it has extra Nitrogen (N), Magnesium (Mg) and Potassium (K) and I was wondering if mushrooms might enjoy a similar spray?

I found this on the macronutrients needed by mushrooms:

I already tried, and what I did was add 1 drop of patchouli oil for every 3 - 3 1/2 pumps of fragrance free oil. Those 3 pumps are enough to cover both of my arms. According to my family, though, the smell is too strong. Is there some sort of ratio I should follow to avoid too strong a scent? Is patchouli oil in general too strong smelling?

I have been reading up on how to make a finished perfume product and wanted to check if my steps are correct.

This is my current procedure for achieving an 80% dilution (or 20% perfume concentration)

Equipment needed:

1. Beaker
2. Weighing machine
3. Perfumers alcohol
4. Glass stirrer
5. Amber glass bottle
6. Funnel and filter
7. Disposable pipettes
8. Perfume bottle and cap

Steps:

1. Mix oils to get perfume concentrate
2. Pour perfume concentrate into beaker and weigh. Assume weight that shows is 20g.
3. Reset weight to zero. Pour in perfumers alcohol into beaker until weighing machine shows 80g.
4. Stir the mixture in the beaker with glass stirrer
5. Pour the mixture through the filter and collect contents in another beaker
6. Pour the filtered contents into the amber glass bottle
7. Place amber glass bottle in a fridge to let it macerate for 2 weeks
8. After two weeks, take amber glass bottle out of fridge
9. Use pipette to extract contents of amber glass bottle and empty it into perfume bottle
10. Cap your perfume bottle and you are all set

Did I miss anything? Or are there more efficient ways of doing this especially for large orders?

I recently joined a lab that relies heavily on antibodies (like, a lot)-- we share our antibodies across multiple labs in the department that work on the same proteins/targets of interest. Unfortunately, our antibodies are a mess. One issue we're having is that there is no "antibody bible" to refer to; one person will have no problem using an antibody for their experiment, then the next person who uses the same vial and same dilutions can't get it to work. There are some antibodies of course that just don't work unless everything is fresh (especially acetylation/phosphorylation/other modification assays) but there is no straightforward place where people can access this information. It's very frustrating because some antibodies have been rigorously validated by some folks for use in western blots but not IF, or vice versa, and there is no central document to refer to about whether they have been validated for one technique or another.

How does your lab handle this? Do you use software to keep track of things like this? How do you make everyone actually participate in keeping it up-to-date? Before I arrived, my lab attempted to do this all in an excel sheet but it has become an incomplete and outdated mess that no one refers to anymore. Silver becoming common money again is an enormous threat to "the powers that be," because their entire fiat debt-based ponzi scheme is built upon an empire of lies.
