TIL of Robert Hubert, who was accused of causing the Great Fire of London. He declared that he had thrown a grenade through a window into the bakery where it had started. Yet, he hadnβt been in England, the bakery didnβt have any windows, and he was a cripple. He was still executed.

[TOMT] [Book] [2000-2005] A book about the Black Plague for children. I think it was first person POV or possibly in the form of a diary and the protagonist was a young girl. It also had a part about the great fire of London.

TIL a man was executed for starting the Great Fire of London after he claimed he threw a fire-bomb through a bakery window. This was despite the fact that he was heavily crippled, the bakery had no windows, and it was proven at his trial that he was not even in the country at the time.
