A list of puns related to "Gracile Capuchin Monkey"
Most sources I'm checking seem to agree that the monks were named as such for their hoods, as Italian for hood is cappuccio, and that the coffee and the monkeys were both named after the monks. But why?
I've read that cappuccinos were named because their colour resembles the monks' robes, but I've also heard that it's because a cappuccino with a white pillow of foam surrounded by a brown crema ring resembles the monks' hairstyles.
I then read that the monkeys were named after the monks because their colour also resembles the robes, but then I've read that the monkeys' heads resembles the monks' hoods (known as Capuches).
It could certainly be both for either case, and the similarities are cool anyway. But does anyone know with more certainty the history of the borrowed terms? Thanks!
They are in the middle of an empty street. The monkeys, who keep in mind are all on skateboards, are 55ft away from the machine gun.
