A list of puns related to "Golden Gate Park"
Hello everyone!
Finals have been getting me down and I felt like one of the best ways to cheer up would be to send out some postcards! Recently I visited Golden Gate National Park in San Francisco and picked up a book of postcards with poster drawings of some of the iconic places in the park. I have 24 of them, so plenty to mail out!
If you'd like one, please fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/kCfyrZ7hPi79oqFW6 (because I'm very disorganized and this helps me make sure I get everyone's out!) and comment once you've filled it out!
I hope everyone is having a lovely December and if you're celebrating, a fantastic holiday season!
(Sorry if this goes against sub rules, please remove if so!)
Hi All,
My name is Matthew DePasquale, and I'm a musician living in San Francisco. One of my roles is conductor of Sven and the Masterful Orchestra. We are playing a FREE outdoor concert tomorrow (11/20/21) at the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park at 12pm.
It's a 16-piece Jazz big band. Sven is a former metal guitarist whose dream is to croon like the greats, and he is making it happen! Think: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, classic big band swing.
The shows are always a really great time, this is really fantastic music!
The show starts at 12 opening with Lara Louise, and we hit at 1pm.
The google maps location for the Music Concourse is: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Music+Concourse/@37.7698834,-122.4685673,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xa278dc852e3d48f9!8m2!3d37.7699128!4d-122.468523
Hope to see you there!
I included the Louis Falanga audience copy which is one of the best auds you'll ever hear and the Hunter Seamon's matrix which uses the Falanga aud and the Charlie Miller SBD of 3/23/75 Kezar Stadium
This is a spectacular show my friends and I'm not joking about the 8/13 comparison. This 9/28 show has a punch all its own ... & this is the show where a woman was giving birth back stage and they were making announcements between some songs including chastising the husband for not doing what he should do and stop partying and go to his wife
This is the next phase of the GD and throughout you hear one foot in 74 stepping into the 77/78 sound. They Love Each Other is a one & done kinda version as it's the only one of 1975 and the feel of the song is different the next time played on 6/03/76. This is akin to how The Jerry Garcia Band was playing it at the time
Big River is another singular version with Jerry sounding like a classic Nashville player at times and for me one of the best Big Rivers ever ... Bobby muffs the lyrics on Truckin a bit but that doesn't matter cuz the groove and feel is sublime and another legend Grateful Dead moment happens in the Jam and it's Dead to the Core
Then there's one of only four King Soloman's Marbles and why ... why did they stop playing this superb instrumental? it's one of the great mysteries of our time. Can you imagine a 77 KSMs! a 1990! The Not Fade Away is another in between 74 & 77 version and it's outstanding
This Blues for Allah>King Soloman's Marbles>Blues for Allah is a 30min hammer over the head and the epitome of badass - 3/23/75 Article on the show
I found a key by Marx Meadow this afternoon (Sunday 9 January). PM me if it could be yours...it's relatively unique for identification.
I went to the Golden Gate Park, showing that the lights turned on in the ferris wheel shortly after sunset. Once it reaches nighttime, RGB lights showed more accurate colors.
