A list of puns related to "Georgian Calendar"
A friend asked for a link and a wave of melancholy washed over me. What a good time we used to have just recently...

Iβm pretty sure that humanity didnβt just mass decide that the day of Christβs death marked Year One, so how did they decide what year was Year One, and when did they do this?
Well.

I am trying to learn Georgian. I would love to have a simple Georgian daily calendar, the kind that you peel off a sheet each day. Any recommendations? I don't know enough to try to search in Georgian, and no luck searching in English.
Thanks all!
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

##government wants to find alternatives to Georgia's problematic Upper Lars cargo route
It's the only land route Armenia currently has to its main trade partner Russia. It's closed "half of the year" because of bad weather, bad traffic, or bad politics between Georgia and Russia. Armenian exporters face the consequences.
Economy Ministry: we drafted a bill that offers to reimburse Armenian companies if they use the Poti-Caucasus Port-Poti ferry.
The proposal is necessary because our only land route to Russia is routinely closed, causing problems for Armenian cargo. Since ferry is more expensive than land, and can reduce Armenian product's competitiveness in foreign markets, we are willing to compensate.
Our trade is growing with EAEU member states, yet Upper Lars remains our only land connection to them.
Upper Lars can only handle 170 cargo and 200 passenger vehicles per day in two directions. The traffic exceeds this capacity by orders of magnitude during certain periods. Armenian vehicles cross it 10,000 times a year.
The approval of the bill will help Armenian cargo companies during the seasonal high-fee periods. This can greatly increase cargo exports and make Armenian products more competitive. //
The subsidy for one-way ferry transfer is Φ0.5M, or Φ1M for two-way.

##Pashinyan discussed the Persian Gulf-Black Sea railway project during Georgia trip
Pashinyan: I believe the launch of the Gulf-Sea international route can boost regional cooperation.
Bilateral cooperation in the field of transport is a priority for us. We view relations with Georgia not only in the sphere of bilateral but also in the sphere of regional cooperation. We can help each other.
We have two Gulf-Sea route projects: vehicle and railway.
Vehicle: we are developing the North-South highway network in Armenia. It connects the Georgian border to the Iran border. We're working with Georgian and Iranian colleagues to make the road more efficient. If we are also able to come to an agreement with Azerbaijan, this project could expand and become North-South and East-West.
The Sochi and Brussels meetings created the opportunity to possibly come to an agreement with Azerbaijan over restoring vehicle routes. As for railway connection, we already have an agreement with Aliyev over principles. It's abo

I am both a returned Peace Corps volunteer (Country X in Asia) and a returned TLG (Teach and Learn in Georgia) volunteer. I decided for whatever reason to spend my most profitable years making absolutely no money whatsoever. Given the sort of life I was living, it is a wonder that my liver made it back home in one piece; by now, it belongs pickled in a jar somewhere. It belongs in a museum.
It's been a while since I've checked up on the organization. What is TLG's current status in Georgia, if it can still be said to have one? Does it still exist? Is it still around? Has it been replaced by the Peace Corps? Or did the Peace Corps ever return to Georgia? (I seem to recall that the Corps jumped ship after Putin pulled his bullshit in 2008.)
A more general question for Georgians and TLG volunteers: what sort of impact do you feel that TLG has had on Georgian life? Has it made any tangible contributions? Has it changed education in Georgia for the better? Do any of the Georgians here at /r/Sarkartvelo recall having a meaningful (or messed-up) experience with a TLG volunteer -- or a Peace Corps volunteer, for that matter? What sort of reputation (if any) does TLG boast today? Have the cultural exchanges and the educational benefits proven worthwhile or -- given the sheer number of hard-drinking young people involved in the project -- has TLG proven to be more trouble than it was worth?
During my time in country, I saw the absolute best and the absolute worst of TLG and its couple hundred volunteers. Living with my pressure cooker of a host family, stashed way up in the foothills of a glacier where no one could find me, I also got to see the best and worst of myself. From my foggy but sober perspective sitting here in 2022 AD, I believe that, in spite of much misbehavior, a tremendous amount of good was done back then; friendships were forged and experiences were shared that left an indelible mark on the lives of the Georgians I got to know and came to love, not to mention the lives of the volunteers they so patiently and graciously hosted -- but there were also afterhours incidents so disgusting and embarrassing and outrageous and disrespectful that I still lose sleep over them all these years later.
Hard as it is for me to believe, it has now been almost a decade since I returned home from Georgia. I spent a full calendar year there, teaching ααααs and ααααs in its northwestern villages. At that age and at that specific juncture in my life, I w

Now let's come to the subject of this post. The thing is I don't give a flying fuck about the islamic calendar. My world just like most of other people's world operates in accordance to the Georgian calendar. There r some dates on this calendar that make me feel extra good and new years eve and the first day of the new year r few of such dates. Celebrating New year triggers loads of muzzies. It's the same old bs, "it's not our thing, it's for the infidels". For me tho, the fact remains that new year is a time for celebrations whereas idc much about Muharram. I mean, sure there r some nice things about it like the tajiya processions but the tradition of matam is so non sensical and so gruesome that make me want there were no such thing as Muharram. I'm lucky that my family ain't shia otherwise things would have been a whole lot worse for me. Muharram comes and goes but I feel nothing as if it's of no importance to me but new year feels like the beginning of a new year and it feels good when new year comes around with all the celebrations we go out and have all the fun.
Hello,

I'm curious if we use the Hebrew calendar or the Gregorian calendar legally, so for example, does a person legally become 18 on the Hebrew date he was born on, or is it the Gregorian?
Alexander Zverev sure is ready to punch his ticket to the Indian Wells fourth round later today. Many have tipped it to be a physical battle and hisΒ training regime appears to haveΒ been adapted accordingly, given the thunderous activity sounding from his hotelΒ room. Sparring partner Nikoloz Basilashvili was only scheduled to stay an hour but it seems both have lost track of time β and boundaries, as a mistimed divingΒ slam almost sends the GeorgianΒ through the ceiling below. Good thing the other guests were evacuated hours ago.
AlasΒ for Andy Murray in the room below, he missed the evacuation call, having been sat on the canΒ all morningΒ playing Metal Gear Solid. Itβs only when a particularly intense somersault kickΒ sendsΒ some plaster crumbling down onto his mobile screen that he finally removes his headphones. In his hurry to escape the vicinity, he accidentally flushes his wedding ring down the toilet, which he is now desperately trying to retrieve before the roof caves in. HeΒ hasnβt felt this much danger since he and Kim sat down to watch Lorenzo Sonegoβs home birthing tutorial.
Meanwhile,Β the playersβ downtime tour of California state has proved equally frustrating. Things didnβt get off to a great start when Emma Raducanu fired the tour guide afterΒ five minutes, while Lorenzo Musetti sufferedΒ a breakdownΒ after seeing an Instagram updateΒ from his ex-girlfriend.Β Naomi Osaka had to be ejected after calling in the paparazziΒ five times along Route 66, andΒ the outrage was palpable among all, upon finding former Delray Beach finalist Donald Youngβs star had been stolen from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.Β Carlos Alcaraz got lost on the way to San Francisco, whileΒ Boris Becker sadly got left behind in Vegas, somewhere between the Strip and the wedding chapel.
Becker will at least have company in the casino tonight -Β in the form of Dominic Thiem, who has been hitting the tables hard amidst the pain of beingΒ unable toΒ defend his Indian Wells title this year. From poker to blackjack, wheelbarrow racing to projected sales of Radek Stepanekβs 2022 calendar β there's nothing he wonβt place a bet on. Wrist injuries are never easy, and Kevin Anderson can certainly empathise β he required reconstructive surgery on hisΒ after all the autographs he had to sign following Sundayβs win over Sonego. Rumour has it he will be playing left-handed against Monfils later tonight. Which is probably still one hand more than Zverev will be able to play with, if his sparring session doesn

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.

So What did 3 say to 8 ?

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
