A list of puns related to "Friesland"
I love not having to commit to a side. It suits my play style. Iβm an annoying squirrelly speed juking fast rudder hard to hit gunboat Captain at heart so I love ships that can continually fire in one direction even if sailing in a circle.
Pod is my favorite ship for this reason. It goes 47 knots with boost and if you take Twist and Track on Trubs the 360 turrets can keep up with the rudder no matter how hard you turn. At range I rarely take a hit and never have to stop shooting. Itβs extremely effective for area denial. I can distract and occupy a whole flank unscathed as they waste all their salvos and my team caps.
Omaha and Svietlana are fun for similar reasons. Theyβre agile and their guns aim in every direction. Evasive maneuvers donβt curb your dps. Iβve played multiple 6 kill games in Omaha where all I do is go in circles spamming HE. It almost feels broken.
Are there other agile boats like that that can maintain full DPS from any angle?
Asking for a friend
Friesland starts out in the HRE as a peasants republic. Traditions focus on trade rather than navy, with -10% development cost and +10% production efficency. Given they have some pretty weak neighbors to expand into, and (given that Austria does not inherit Burgundy) can easily conquer the required provinces for the Netherlands, how good are they as a nation?
I have always wanted to take a trip to the North of the country around Christmas, visiting the 3 most northern Provincies. I have on my plan now the city of Groningen, Lawersmeer Park, and the Waddeneilanden. Does anybody have any more ideas on what to do/ see? Thanks!
P/s: I have heard that you can catch the Northern Lights up there if you are lucky. Is it true?
Hallo Mensen,
This ship just melts other DD's, especially within those 5km-ish ranges. I think the Friesland has officially topped the Kidd as the new "Sheriff" of DD hunting, as Tbull would say.
Which one did you choose and why?
I got mine yesterday. About 15 games in and Iβve gotten top 2 in 12 of those. Havenβt broken 100k damage or 3 kills but I have made it my personal mission to terrorize enemy DDs (and carrier aircraft). I feel like this ship and Loyang will change T7/LT gameplay for the better, giving DDs something to actually think about. These ships seem great for skilled players, but not too OP to tip the meta into yet another bad place. What do yβall think?
How do i aim the ASW rockets on these ships? i always shoot them too far or too close. Is there anywhere i can see the range?
Will they eventually update it so both radar dishes spin? If someone has already asked and this has been answered, I apologize in advance. Have not seen anyone comment on this or ask about it yet.
Finally, Destroyer Captains can rejoice, a Tier 7 Premium Destroyer that's actually worth crowing about.
Friesland represents one half of the Element of Choice Campaign in v 3.7. Friesland is the first tier 7 ship available for the Pan-European National Tree, joining Orkan, Blyskawica as the only available ships so far. Conceptually, Friesland sort of resembles a more gunnery specific mindset than her European counterparts. Captains will certainly feel the absence of torpedoes, though will be enchanted by her gunnery. Friesland is similar to Orkan, in the sense that her playstyle is quite polarized while she is not very forgiving and is somewhat well gated by a skill wall. Friesland is a GREAT ship, with a HIGH skill floor and an EXTREME skill ceiling.
Named after a northern province in the Netherlands and class namesake, Friesland was the fourteenth ship of the name. Laid down in 1951 at Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij [NDSM] in Amsterdam, and commissioned in 1956. The ship served until 1979 when it was broken up for scrap. The design featured use of a pair of twin dual-purpose Bofors 120mm Naval Guns one fore and one aft. The gun first entered service in 1956 and is still in service today. Friesland was the only ship of her class that was not sold to the Peruvian Navy.
Friesland represents the one of the most modernized and contemporary destroyer builds so far. Though she is torpedo-less, and this takes a massive step away from the norm of her class, Friesland can be one of the most downright scary ships in the game, period. Tricky to use is an understatement, this ship requires hefty knowledge of positioning, tactics, ballistics, penetration and armor values, and excellent situational awareness. In short, Friesland looks like she has a significant amount of shortcomings, but in practice this is an excellent ship bound brilliantly by the skill of the captain. This is not per say an easy ship to use, and is not particularly forgiving; though may be one of t
... keep reading on reddit β‘I realized I hit 100 and chose the free commander before just deciding that I wanted the Friesland and then I bought the admiralty backing and it didnβt come with a commander I can put on it.
Yoooo Iβm sorry guys I just realized Iβm a absolute moron and had a filter on. Iβm going to go lay down for a while.
I want to share a fun play through which i startet over the Holidays. I startet as the Count of Zeeland and taked the duchie of Holland in the first Generation. Two Sons later a Daughter build the Kingdom of Friesland.
The Plan then was to expend east along the Coastline and bring the War to Denmark. But after i taked the duchie of Slesvig the Swedes kicked me out with 25000 Troops... two times. At the moment i build up my Army and play the marriage Game.
My Dynastie holds the Kingdom of Alba, Wessex, Bavaria and Poland. So... as a Northfrisian myself i dont let me kicked out of Slesvig a third time, from the scary Swedes.

So I finally have 1 Million free EXP and no good ship to spend it on (Agir is decent but why would I need it, I have the 2 other better supercruisers in Alaska and Kronstadt). Hayate is trash, Azuma is just a worse Zao with no torps and no armor whatsoever.
The only DDs I enjoy are gunboat DDs like Marceau,Khabarovsk etc so its a natural fit for me.
Now I struggle to find a good build for Groningen

with the Special Commander from the Armoury
I've seen a couple of posts about Friesland having a 1.4 second reload, but when I select Main Battery Mod 3 that "only" brings it to 1.6 seconds. What am I missing?
Played 3 games in it so far and actually like it pretty well.
