A list of puns related to "Foot Lambert"
So I posted a question yesterday, which some of you were very helpful with your answers. I'm going to return my 120" 1.1 gain screen and go to a 100" 1.4 gain version, as my brightness was reduced so much that it made watching some darker movies way less than ideal, even in my light controlled room. Not happy about losing the bigger size, but I really need the brightness and quality I had before.
But it begs a question, as I see many people on this sub mentioning 30 or 40 foot lamberts can be plenty bright, and more can be TOO bright...how is that possible? At 58 I could hardly see darker movies, I feel like 40 foot lamberts would be almost just a black screen LOL
The projector calculator puts my current setup at 58 fL....down from the 90 fL setup I had before (100" 1.3 gain screen), which is why I'm switching back to a smaller screen. I have the Epson 4010 (2400 lumens), and it seems to be that the 4K or pixel-shifting (like mine) units don't go as high with the output brightness as 1080p..so how is everyone getting great bright images they're happy with?
Just curious now, I'd like to know more about how all of this works, it's a great learning experience, this hobby :)
Frankenburry, maybe you should do the math and see what the Nomad put out in Nits....THIRTEEN YEARS AGO! I'll save others the time.... 2960.287862082 Nits when converted from the specified 864 foot lamberts.
Mine is daylight readable. Sunlight in the eye readable. Uncomfortably bright.
What is your expertise to spout with such confidence? Maybe you should try on a laser based a RETINAL SCANNED display before making big uneducated leaps when comparing unlike tech.....just trying to keep it friendly.
If you have a proven model that can turn $1 into $1.50, thatβs awesome. You make 50% returns.
But⦠if your buddy has a magical power that can convince people that $1 is only worth $0.10, and you buy that dollar for $0.10, you turn that 50% return into 1500% return.
WE HAVE NOT BEEN LOOKING AT THE WHOLE PICTURE
Weβve been looking at the people convincing us that $1 is worth $0.10, but have missed the bigger picture of those that buy the $1 for $0.10 and turn it into $1.50.
Apes and Apettes, itβs time to discuss APOLLO GLOBAL MANAGEMENT.
This article will be delving into Apollo, but make no mistake⦠this strategy and process are likely widespread and far-reaching.
I have chosen to discuss this firm because it relates directly to our beloved Gamestop, and this shit goes DEEP.
Weβve gotβ¦ Criminal Activities, Hostile Takeovers, Private Military Contractors, Presidential Pardons, MSM Manipulation, and shockinglyβ¦ POPCORN APES WILL NOT BELIEVE A WORD I SAY!!

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS Apes, I know we like to tease, and some of us hold both, but if you read this article and see what I see in it, please do your best to educate the Popcorn Apes. (Donβt harass or Brigade, let them draw their own conclusions) - But I am now OFFICIALLY worried for them!

... keep reading on reddit β‘As is yearly tradition, over the month of December I posted two songs per day in the Daily Discussion threads (one single and one album track (mostly)) that I felt went unnoticed by most people but would potentially be enjoyed, and this is a compilation of those write-ups.
Thereβs a definite pop focus but I picked these tracks with an ear for diversity of sound/artistry so thereβs quite a few different things going on here and some picks that might make you roll your eyes, but I think thereβs something for everyone! FFO means βFor Fans Of,β itβs a reference point for who I think would like each song.
Here is a link to a playlist I made of (most) of the songs.
#Singles:
> Joyce Wrice (ft. Freddie Gibbs) - On One (from Overgrown)
> FFO: Tinashe
It seems like everyone is nostalgic for the β00s these days but if you were specifically missing those block party busting r&b jams, Joyce Wrice has you covered. She oozes the essence of this era of r&b starlets thanks to her flirty-yet-fiery delivery and the Aaliyah sample (βRock The Boatβ) takes this connection even further, but the charismatic rap verse from Freddie Gibbs has a distinctly more modern feeling that still flows well. One of many stellar tracks on her debut album but it stands out thanks to the pop friendly hooks and crazy replay value.
> FFO: Red Velvet
In tarot the βWheel Of Fortuneβ card is supposed to invoke good luck and prosperity and the song really captures that vibe with the bright melody and hopeful lyrics, both of which Riri carries perfectly. The quirky production makes everything even more exciting, itβs got a new jack swing beat but then thereβs all sorts of horns and synths and samples layered on top so itβs just brimming with energy while still being perfectly in control.
> LΓLΓ - Hurt Less (from overkill)
> FFO: Avril Lavigne
Emo pop-rock meets self-deprecating Tik Tok music, and thatβs a compliment! Canadian singer LΓLΓ started with this sound last year (so she was actually a bit ahead of the curve on this trend) but she took until this year with the overkill EP to really nail it. This song is indulgently relatable and the chorus just creeps up on you, itβs so catchy and

Here are some of the movies I'm hoping to watch in 2022. I'll consistently update the list with more movies, updated release dates and new trailer links for easy access. Each movie's IMDb page is also linked. I'm going to pin this to my profile page for my own convenience and anyone else that wants to follow up for recommendations on upcoming movies.
Movies are listed in order of US release dates if available (wide theatrical or VOD/streaming), the rest are listed randomly. I'm not 100% sure they'll all be released in 2022, but will update accordingly if needed. As it is, a few of these are carry-overs/delays from 2021 and 2020.
Let me know of any others that look interesting, thanks.
Scream (Jan. 14-theaters): Returning are Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. New installment of the Scream franchise will follow Sidney Prescott returning to her home town to try to find out who has been committing a series of vicious crimes.

The Last Thing Mary Saw (Jan. 20-Shudder): Starring Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan). Winter, 1843. A young woman is under investigation following the mysterious death of her family's matriarch. Her recollection of the events sheds new light on the ageless forces behind the tragedy.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Feb. 18-Netflix): After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
It is commonly believed that Early Modern women accused of being witches, made ointments from local plants containing powerful psychoactive agents, which caused hallucinations of flight and other supernatural events. This is the first of two posts examining the history of the hallucinogenic flying ointment narrative, and presenting evidence that it is simply a long standing myth.
This is a very long post. If you'd rather watch something, you can see a video version of this content here.
The claim
One particular feature of historical stories of witches flying, has become particularly embedded in the modern consciousness; the concept of witches using a special ointment to enable flight.
This peculiar feature of historical flying witch stories has been the subject of much study, and today it is widely accepted, even within mainstream scholarship, that even though these ointments did not actually make witches fly, they were made from local plants containing powerful pharmacological agents, which caused the women using the ointment to experience vivid hallucinations of flight and other supernatural events, and so wrongly believe they had flown.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
I won't be doing that today!
