A list of puns related to "Falangist"
TL:DR - do not play falangist Spain in the hopes of conquering Iberia, South America, and Africa; it be bugged.
Decided to do a playthrough with Spain - why the hell not?
Look at Focus tree and see that there is a way to Unite Iberia, get a claim on all of portugal's possessions (including Brazil!), reassert american dominance to allow for the peaceful subjugation of weaker american countries, gain annex goals against all south american countries, and finally gain claims on western mediterranean areas.
Vince McMahon increasingly excited meme.
Don't do well in the Civil War the first two times.
Third time is a charm - really do well in pushing the other factions into the sea.
Feels good man.
Have a really good plan to recover from the Civil War, everything coming together nicely. Picking up steam and rebuilding the country. Now it's time to select "will to empire"
Select "will to empire"
double click "will to empire"
Maybe read "will to empire closely"? "Requires strength the supreme reality of Spain" - Check. "Has full control of Spanish Africa" - Check. "Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera is the current country leader" - (X) no check. Oh, maybe there is a some way i need to get him through a decision or other focus. Looks at national political screen. Leader. is. Jose Antonio *breathe* de Primo *breathe* de Rivera. WTF?
Google says: console command to fix the leader as the NSB patch doesn't recognize him.
Me: tries all the different console commands - never done this before. Not working. WTF, google?
Google: console commands disabled for ironman.
MFW: wasted 8 hours playing to be locked out of the part of the focus tree i wanted to use.
TL:DR
I've been messing around with Falangist Spain but every time I get to the focus The Will to Empire I can no longer progress down the tree. I'm a little confused on what is stopping me and I'm working if anyone else has had problems with this. It requires full control of Spanish Africa, which I have as well as the green checkmark, and Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera is the current leader of the country, which he is.
I'm trying to figure out why the game won't let me select the focus. Has anyone else had this problem?
IT seems as though my naming thing isn't working. The only countries that it semi-worked with was Germany, I could only change it to "dez" and Ukraine where I could change it to Reichskommissariat Ukraine. But with the Bohemian Empire and Falangist Poland, their names wont change, neither with Karelia. (which I cant find in the game files.) And then there's Ostland, which it's name didn't change until I set it as a German Reichskommissariat. I've been using Notepad ++ but it still doesn't work. Help?
I have JosΓ© as my leader, but I can't take this focus....

As a leftist I disagree with the ideologies, but I find that your section of politics/economics is the most interesting and the most confusing. Specifically I want to ask where do you guys fit on this type of thing?
Sorry if any of this comes across as ignorant or pushy, I'm just kinda keen to learn, it's by far what most people consider a fuzzy area and I think many here scape goat the hell out of these ideologies and just want to know what you guys think of it all.
Essentially, I'm writing an alternate history where the German invasion plan of France isn't changed and the Third Reich proceeds to do a Schlieffen plan 2.0, which causes them to stall in Belgium and get stuck there.
However, they manage to convince Spain to invade France from the South in addition to an armoured push into the Ardennes which leads to the collapse of France. What would Spain (either led by Franco, or possibly the Falangists who manage to take control of the Nationalists), want in return for entering the war.
Moreover:
I have just finished my Iberia run today. Went down the democratic election -> libdem victory path. I went hardline on most issues and got the military unrest to critical. Thus the civil war happened, which I won and then finished the focus tree. However it really struck me as if there was a ton of ludonarative disonance about the civil war. The initial events suggest that it is just an officer coup that tries to (unsucessfully) storm the parliament, then proceeds to start a small scale battle inside Madrid, then fail again and finally rises up somewhere in Western Iberia. However then the civil war proper starts as a massive conflict akin to original Spanish civil war. Then when I win it as LibDem Iberia, the game says in world news event that it all was just a day-long failed coup concentrated only in Madrid, and the only post-war actions taken by the government are to attempt to arrest some of the officer corp that did it, who then flee the country. So, naratively it seems like a tiny conflict, which either ends in a fast overthrow of government by falangists, or a fast rebute of the coup by the government. But then the gameplay shows it as a proper, destructive civil war. So which is it supposed to be?
So, I have been reading about the Spanish Civil war recently and came upon the wikpedia page of "Falange EspaΓ±ola de las JONS" whole reading through it I saw that it said "The party was republican, modernist, championed the lower classes and opposed both oligarchy and communism" The part that interests me was the republican part. I can't seem to find details on this but was the party actually Republican? I know its successor party that Franco made wasn't and the party fought against the Republicans but at any point was it actually pro-republic?
"In the end the tablecloth was rent in wounds, And there did the blushing roses drop, On the caries of the worn tabletop."
Iβm currently making a alt hist, but a problem is being shown. Iberiaβs name. In lore, they are ruled by the Falange, but Falangist Iberia sounds like itβs a civil war faction, not a ruling party. Two other names Iβm trying to avoid are the, βIberian Stateβ or βNationalist Iberiaβ.
Anything works.
between 1955 and 1958 there was a Falangist party in France but they did not have a flag.
Also if you know where I can find any of the mod's flags in my files that would also help
-- Pre Civl War --
1: build as many mils as you can in Catalonia
2: focus all your garrison influence to secure Catalonia with the three check marks. This is the most important step, otherwise it doesn't work
3: whenever Catalonia is secured, influence the garrison in Asturias, but if the Republicans are trying to switch Catalonia, which will happen often due it high value, secure Catalonia instead, YOU MUST CONTROL CATALONIA
4: in the political decisions tab, just do the last one which reduces stability and increase factory output. Also, make sure to never miss a day, when is finished, click it inmediatly to refresh it. This mission removes 35 days to the Civil War and you want to start it ASAP. Sometimes however you'll need to pass it in order to control Catalonia
-- Civil War Part 1 --
1: inmediatly send the African troops in Morocco to Catalonia
2: make a fallback line for the few divisions in Catalonia across the mountains to defend it until the African troops arrive. When the event to prepare the offensive pops out, choose Eastern Aragon, the only state separating your two frontlines
3: assign all the divisions around Vasque Country to attack it, and do the same for Asturias if you don't fully control it. Anyway, Asturias is easier to attack due its terrain, only 1 port and your influence over it so you won't need much divisions nor prepare the offensive. Fire both attacks inmediatly
4: assign the rest of the divisions into a frontline with the Republicans with an attack order to Valencia, but don't fire it yet. You should have between 25 to 30 divisions available for this frontline
5: the group of the main frontline (the one I talked in the last point) will be in position before the African troops arrive. Manually order the divisions in the border with Easter aragon to attack the enemies there so they can't push Catalonia
6: I haven't talked about production, you will need mils for infantry equipment, artillery and support equipment, although the gruesome of supplies will come from the axis. You have enough "filler" units so just train African troops. Construction wise, keep building mils in Catalonia, this state has the most infrastructure, even more than Madrid
-- Civil War Part 2 --
1: when the African troop are in position is time to attack. Make a frontline and an offensive line with the divisions on Catalonia to fuse the southernmost part of Easter Aragon with Western Aragon (controlled by you). The other attack order to Valencia
