MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - Company Members in Europe finally get their berets. After many months of the box just sitting there, the berets were finally sent out. Yaaaay, free Stuff.
The European Members are expected to get their berets in one or two weeks from the time of this News being posted... Hahah, right, Martin..? Right..? You're not going to fuck it up, right..?
Patches from the 1st, 29th and 93rd are planned to be included as well. However, some were deemed not enough. Maybe. I don't know how many members we have over there. When was the last time we did a census?

EDITORIAL - Why I don't post photos of my pets - Psychology of Perceptive Manipulation.
Irishkaiser - Recently there has been some discussion with cats and dogs in the Company's circles and of course I take a side, but someone noticed "Ey, Irish... If you do like your pet so much, why you no post picture, blin?" and there was that one guy who noticed my pet off-camera in one of my photos and was like "Aiyo your dog eating shit off-camera blyat."
Well, you faggot - let me tell you it's cause I love my pets that I don't post pictures of them for adoration. Hear me out, tovarischii...
You know the stereotype of the guy who goes to the park with his dog(s) just to pick up chicks or some shit? The person who may or may not be a complete and utter failure of a human being hides his true worth and personality behind a dog. To me, as a person who don't even believe in neutering pets, I find that as manipulative and downright dishonest. To me, anyway. Not sure about you in the West - but I am suspicious of people who use their pets as an affection magnet. More often than not, they are some of the most manipulative motherfuckers out there.
Don't believe me? Quick. Imagine you are writing a movie where the people you're rooting for(protagonist) is technologically superior and is more of an invading force and they're about to fight a bunch of freedom fighters. How do you make the audience root for the imperialist bastards destroying them? The answer? You give them a fucking dog.
Or in any case, an agreeable pet as long as it's depicted as being agreeable to the protagonist.
But that's right, fuck

Kids - MGMT
Electric Feel - MGMT
The Less I Know The Better - Tame Impala
Thanks in advance :)
I just watched the Spielberg classic because we play Cadillac of the Skies for marching band and I wanted to see what the movie it came from was like. I am very confused and I have a lot of questions. I think my biggest question was: what does it all mean? The movie seemed to ramble on, but in the best way possible.
Or we riot
So i was looking for a synth on Reverb for a while and finally found a good deal.
i noticed he was selling from LA and i was asking the owner after purchasing you know like "hey did you make any cool stuff with this, would love to check it out!"
He said "the album Two Vines was recorded with this by the band Empire of the Sun, but after that its just sat in the studio since."
needless to say this is pretty awesome.
i could of picked this synth up from anyone second hand, maybe just the average hobbyist or small time artist, but to have something used by a band i used to listen to growing up on my mp3 player skateboarding around before i ever even started making music, that's pretty awesome. Sort of a full circle feeling.
Just a random cool story i thought i would share. Can't wait to mess around with this thing when it gets here. Merry Synthmas everybody!
As for myself, Iβve been fascinated by the peculiar ways of the Siamese. Their propensity towards utilizing coconuts for foodstuffs is most wonderful.
As I now find myself in the company of learned and well-traveled gentlemen, I am eager to hear you recount your tales of exploring the exotic corners of this good earth.
Where have you traveled, and what noteworthy experiences did you incur there?
Saw this movie as a kid and again recently as an adult. It's worth watching but a few notes:
(1) It's gorgeously shot and gorgeously acted. Everybody, from Bale, Malcovich, and even the bit actors brought their A game.
(2) Some of it was shot on location in Shanghai. It's a 40s period film but even in the 1980s Shanghai hasn't yet experienced it's boom.
(3) its your classic 1980s Spielberg directed, John Williams scored prestige piece. Sadly some of Speilbergs best and worst instincts are on display here. One scene can be haunting and the scene right after it can be Velveeta compressed cheese. It's uneven.
(4) The opening chorale piece Suo Gan will stick in your head for days.
(5) As a kid I was very moved by this movie. As an adult I'm still moved by it, but found it less layered than I remember it. I feel it could have been so much more.
(6) Bale was an unknown. His raw acting talent is on display here at a very young age.
See it if you haven't. It's definitely an 80s classic that has become a bit obscure in recent years.

I would freak if they came :D
Silly question I know. As a child, when I saw the asteroid field chase scene in Empire Strikes Back, I assumed that our asteroid belt looked similar. Later I learned that our asteroid belt is not anywhere near as dense, and that great distances separated most of the asteroids. It made me wonder how much mass would be required for the asteroid belt to uniformly have a similar density to the asteroid field in Star Wars? Would that hypothetical asteroid belt have more combined mass than the mass of the sun? My guess is that it would exceed the mass of the sun many times over given that the asteroid belt encircles the sun and has a width of 1 AU, but I'm just a sci-fi nerd and not qualified to answer even a silly fictional scenario like this.

ASPERMONT, WESTERLANDS - West Ministry is the name chosen by vote to replace the Imperial Assembly. Proposed by Company Member Shrauger after a certain dumbass of a crayon-eating Muhreen would not stop eating crayons, the name was actually chosen mocking Irishkaiser's quip when referring to Westminster.
The other list of names were:
Supreme Soviet Sovereign Assembly Sovereign Rally West Ministry NORF HQ
Additionally, an alternative motion was put forth to change the name of the Imperial General Staff to Hillguards.
A joke name was put forth called KKK but was quickly withdrawn when the Company Member proposing it realized that it would have been placed as a contender.
Taking up an entire week's worth of discussion, the discussion delved deeper into UNKNOWN [?] Trading Company political theory and may have clarified the relationship between its executive and legislative/judicial family.
Directory Member Irishkaiser proposed putting forth his Directorial prerogative to settle the issue as soon as possible, but acquiesced to the then Assembly's insistence on the democratic approach. The Director however stated he had the right of veto regardless and justified its existence as a moral safeguard and to prevent a tyranny of the majority or the rule of the mob. The newly named West Ministry then received its title on the 11th of November, 2019 an auspicious day coinciding with Armistice Day and Polish Independence with a high turnout, even catching the eye of retired or inactive Company Members eager to exercise their rights or give their wisdom

EDITORIAL - The Culture of "Moving Out"
Irishkaiser - One thing that is expected of most people nowadays is when they grow old enough or economically sufficient is the practice of moving out of the family abode and start living elsewhere away. This practice is very prevalent in the Western world and is actually exported worldwide to other cultures, but for most of human history you rarely moved out of your ancestral home and only moved when you have better economic opportunity elsewhere wherein NOT moving would be YOUR lo
