A list of puns related to "Emo Song"
I don't know how successful this will be because I'm sure I've bled kpop dry of any hard rock/emo songs, but there might be some I've missed.
I've made a playlist for all the ones I have so far. It's mostly songs on the heavier side that I'm looking for (a lot of FTIsland, Day6, and Dreamcatcher) but I do have a few lighter songs (like TXT's Loserβ Lover, Lovesong, and Enhypen's Attention, Please!).
ALSO, I'm only including more pure "rock" style songs (so while I love Pixy and Dreamnote, their songs just don't fit the style I'm looking for), and songs by K-POP ARTISTS ONLY (so groups like Purple Rain and Bursters, while totally awesome, won't be on this list).
My Friend and I do this Podcast called the Pop Punk Emo Supremo Podcast, and we decided to do our top 5 Pop Punk/Emo Christmas songs and I thought I would add all of you in on the fun. If you would like to listen to the episode, you can listen here:

All opinions wanted. Personal opinion, its Ohio is for Lovers by Hawethorne Heights.
It has all the quintessential elements to make an amazing song. Excellent screaming, super depressing lyrics, high energy and it was way ahead of the curve in the genre.
I want to know what are your BEST EVER emo songs!
No idea if this makes any sense to anyone else
What are some of your favorite heart felt emotional tunes you guys relate to the most? Specifically looking for sad songs :β)
Itβs by a fairly popular midwest emo band. The song ends with a pretty long run that sounds very similar to The Moon is Down by EITS. It has to be an homage.
Itβs great. Iβve heard it a couple times but never seem to save it. I want to find it again please help!
Edit: No direct hits yet, but all the things yβall have suggested are bangers. Shoot for the man, land in the stars, eh?
To make the question more specific, the mystery song uses the snare-driven percussion from the second half of The Moon Is Down.
best one (that is actually emo) will get a free award
I know that Slipknot really isnβt an Emo band, however emos do dig it. But which song in the entire Slipknot discography has the most strong EMO vibe to it?
Hey all! For an anniversary gift, Iβm looking to make a custom vinyl with pop punk/emo love songs.
So far Iβve only come up with Still Into You / The Only Exception - Paramore Best of Me - The Starting Line Goodnight Moon - Go Radio A Walk Through Hell - Say Anything
Got any other good ones to add?
Update: thank you all for your wonderful suggestions! For anyone wondering about where to make a custom vinyl, I found this Etsy store: https://etsy.me/2ZTqed2

If Youngboy tape is mostly emo songs, respectfully he can keep that shit. I love experimental music but at the same time, I donβt think he got that side of music down pat enough to drop an entire tape of styles of music he not used to. Emo love sounds like a rushed song, has a great hook and a decent verse then just the hook played back for the rest of the song instead of something else to keep the listener engaged, Iβm sure we all expected a second verse cause the song is literally three minutes long. All these emo beats heβs using sound the same, guitar and basic trap drums. Kid cudi and lil Wayne had pretty good experimental albums but I donβt think Youngboy has even put much effort into partially switching genres or even researching rock music in general. Heβs still punching in and not writing shit, heβs still using repetitive beats, only thing that he really got good at on that side of music is the vocals. Nigga need to drop some RAP
Yeah, just some simple songs that could help me learn the basics of guitar. Wanna make the learning process a fun experience if I can manage it lol
Right now Iβm tryna learn I Saw Water (even though barre chords are a bitch) and maybe maybe This Song Is A Mess But So Am I, but that might be too difficult at this moment in time tbh.
Hip hop- majority of early em
Pop- majority of recovery
Country- square dance
Rock- berzerk, heat
Rnb- mockingbird, stronger than i was
Trap- not alike, chloraseptic
Jazz- not necessarily jazz songs but Infinite has a lot of jazz instrumental
Emo rap i couldnt think of one so ignore that one
Been feeling extra extra lately. Hit me with your favorite "I love you but I don't know how to tell you so here's a song about my feelings" songs.

I want to listen to more midwest emo, but I don't know where to start, I mainly listen to scurffpuppie, panuccis pizza, American football, modern baseball.
(I don't know how to mark this as closed)
Song is All Time Low - Oh, Calamity
I... had a dream about it and remembered another verse so I just looked it up... In my dream he said "It's such a shame we play strangers" and that one worked on YouTube's algorithm IRL
The song is about a break up and is sung by what I believe to be an emo group, and seems to be rock-pop or at least I am reminded of both by memory.
In the music the main singer, a man, describes how he and his love broke up, how there is so much distance between them. He thinks of himself negatively while remarking about her positively. I believe he harps upon how they cannot get back together due to his immaturity, or at least the way he is describing things is in a purposefully princess & monster style. I believe there is a music video that has a sort of cut-out style to it never featuring the two as people but representing parts of the song such as great distance as a big sea which is not a real one but a cut-out cardboard version
"Oh ____, Come back to me" is repeated several times throughout the song as part of the lyrics. I believe the female's name started with a C. Caroline, carolee, cassidy, I just do not remember.
I believe this band features rust and the color red in their album art but I am unsure.
This was a very popular song made some time in the 2000s - 2010s and has millions of views. I would say it was a song teenagers would listen to and if they did, they probably also listened to bands such as Thousand Foot Krutch, Pop Evil and Linkin Park, which would have had similar styles to this singer.
I would be forever grateful
This is pretty common in the genre. Examples:
-Probably the majority of Mineral songs. See "Take The Picture Now" or "The Last Word is Rejoice"
-The Promise Ring - Is This Thing On? Basically just five lines repeated over and over.
The Appleseed Cast - Fishing the Sky. Just five lines, none longer than six words.
More examples?
basically, songs that don't start at full strength and build up to loud or intense choruses? some examples:
EDIT: it ALSO couldβve been about the singer growing his hair out rather than cutting it !!
I donβt have a lot to go off here. The genre was probably post-hardcore/emo, but I donβt typically listen to this type of music so Iβm not entirely sure. I think it was comparable to Title Fight and stuff like that, but I could be way off base. The only lyrics I remember were something like βI hope you notice my haircutβ or βI got my hair cut; I hope you noticed.β They came earlier in the song. Something along those lines, but theyβre not exact (I obviously tried googling a thousand different iterations of this beforehand to no avail). Alternatively, it couldβve been something about shaving instead of a haircut?? I really donβt remember too well. I heard this song played a few times in someoneβs car a long time who Iβm no longer able to ask. This is a last resort, any suggestion helps :)
Been getting into his music recently, i really like emo love.
my favorite one gets a free silver award
